good A/C. Has hair dryer. spacious room. Wifi is weak. The lighting is very dim, and there are bugs in the room. I find better value with other hostel with much cheaper price.

Worst place we have ever stayed. Bedding from the 1970’s; dirty towels; problems getting room serviced; 2 pools but both dirty; lack of property maintenance; not sure if TV worked because remote control not provided; NO HOT WATER 2 days in a row; mediocre breakfast; tea bags appeared to have mould on them; “suite” was just one room and misrepresented as to size-advertised on Expedia at about 2x the actual room size; the area is noisy-dogs barking. We asked for a refund for one of the nights to compensate for the lack of hot water and we were told there was hot water and that was their best room and no one else has complained. Not true! Read the past reviews. Anyway if possible AVOID THIS PLACE.

We only stayed overnight between the afternoon ferry from Isabela and the morning ferry to San Cristobal. It is difficult to rate the hotel as we were not there long. Our room did have a nice balcony with a hammock. The room had a mini fridge. The water in the shower was cool, couldn’t get it to go hot. The grounds of the hotel were nice and has a small pool.

It looks old, not maintained well care, inside the room ceiling is peeling it off, the picture they have to advertise it, are better looks than how its looks now. It was very depressing, disappointing that I had to leave the place almost immediately. I would like my money back due to falls advertising it.

I stayed at this B&B with my partner during a dive trip to Santa Cruz. Would highly recommend. We had a beautiful and comfortable room, always clean and a great location in town. We left every morning by 6:30am so can’t comment on the breakfast, but the water jug was always full and cold! We would stay here again.

This is a little hotel but family was very helpful with airport travel, activities and anything we needed. Our travel changed a bit after reserving the room and The hotel was much more helpful than Expedia with our reservation. Good breakfast. Good internet in common areas. Very safe and location is great. We could see the water from our room but hotel is a few blocks away.

My husband & I LOVED this B & B which is priced very reasonably. The staff & owners are very personable, friendly, helpful, accommodating, efficient & truly fun!!!! Several times they accompanied us out to the street to hail a taxi. We enjoyed the extremely clean pools (2) on the property. The grounds had a lot of trees, hence a lot of shade, very enjoyable. The owners were continuously sweeping up the leaves etc. that were blowing down because of the nice breeze. It was a very convenient, easy walking distance, location near town. Which includes waterfront restaurants, scuba shops, ferry docks to other islands especially to German Beach, which we would highly recommend. We saw the largest, most colorful Parrot fish EVER! We also saw for the first time sea snakes. I watched the behavior of one of them for quite some time, which was very interesting. In conclusion, my husband & I HIGHLY recommend this B & B.

Of course it is not hotel hotel. Nice comfortable bed and enough clean towels. Ask daily tour & reservation, you save money and time, -no headache! Very kind local sentiments!

We made this reservation for four night approximately 6 months in advance on Expedia. When we arrived, we were told we had the best room on the property. Believably so. It had a distant view of ocean and plenty of cool ocean breezes. The room had a king size bed, a small table two chairs, and a small fridge. It was basic, functional and clean.
Aside from the basics, the hotel has no personal touches. For example, there were no glasses or cups, in the room. We had to ask for them. No napkins other than toilet paper. The large bar of soap in the shower appeared to have been used before. (There was a new very small bar of soap that was for the sink.) There was a family size bottle of shampoo that was also used before. The sink had no hot water. The shower did have hot water, however the shower was clogged. (When we told the hotel staff, it was fixed it the same day.) The breakfast area had a water dispenser but the 5 gallon jug was always empty The breakfasts consisted of coffee, watered down juice, a fresh roll, and two eggs everyday.
This hotel is listed as a three star; it is more like a two star with a nice view of the ocean far away.

I liked the trees and the swimming pools the rooms are spacious and the air conditioning worked real good. Our room had a small front porch which we loved to have to sit outside in the afternoon or just to leave our dirty or wet clothes. The owners are very friendly and very knowledgeable of the tours in the Island. They offer a very complete breakfast as well. Ones recommendation would be to have more options for breakfast since after 3 days it starts to get boring. Other than that I will be coming back here for sure. They are one block from the main Street and close to the port and Bank and restaurants.

This hostal is way over priced by Expedia. You can stay at similar hostal for half the price.

The entrance is a bit hard to find, but luckily the island isn't big so taxi drivers can get you there easily. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is good, though it's only served from 7am until 8:30am. That means if you take any day trips, you'll miss breakfast since they usually require taking a boat around 7am. The room and bathroom were nice, but the shower took a long time to get hot and didn't drain well. The wifi was unreliable in the room (though it was fine in the breakfast area).
The town is small enough that you can walk anywhere, so not being on the main street wasn't a problem. All the islands are extremely safe (basically no crime), which means you don't have to be worried about walking back late at night.
One thing to note is that there is a tax applied on top of the overall hotel cost. You should bring cash to pay for the hotel room because there is a 7% fee to pay by credit card.

This was unfortunately the worst stay on our trip through South America. Not nearly as good as the pictures show! When we first arrived the rooms had gecko-fecis on doorposts and splines. I understand that animals get in, but it isn't that hard to check the rooms beforehand for a last cleanup before guests arrive. Shower worked inconsistently, would lose pressure and turn hot after a minute or two, which is the last thing you want after a blistering day in the sun. The air condition couldn't be set consistently, it was either on at max, making you freeze during the night or shut off leaving you to the humid tropical climate. WiFi was only available down at the reception desk, which ment you had to sit and work outside in the hot, humid climate (and without privacy) if you needed to work online or book things. Service was ok and well-meaning (for example breakfast was fine!) but disorderly at times, we had no issue with it until they tried to charge us for an additional three nights at checkout, luckily we were on our toes and cleared it up.

Quiet, lush common areas. Off the busier main roads but still easy walking distance to good variety of shopping and restaurants. Rooms basic, but very clean and in good repair, great in this price range. Good wifi. Full breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Host Yolanda and staff are wonderful...friendly and helpful. Would definately stay there again.

We used this hotel as a base for 5 days on Santa Cruz Island - visiting local attractions plus two other Galapagos Islands before taking a short cruise. We found the hotel perfect for our needs. Yolanda was a perfect hostess - always ready to provide advice and ideas - with constant enthusiasm and a happy positive attitude. A simple but very good breakfast was provided every morning, with many suggestions about where to eat lunch and dinner. The room was simple but clean and suited us very well. The hotel is small and well maintained, and its grounds are a welcome oasis to return to a the end of the day.

My wife and I traveled to Galapagos for the Thanksgiving week - our trip wouldn't have been as wonderful as it was if not for Yolanda and her wonderful family at Galapagos Pearl helping us out with everything from ferry tickets to restaurant recommendations. Highly recommended for a peaceful oasis just steps away from the main ave. Charles Darwin.
Note: If using a taxi, easier to find "La Perla" than Galapagos Pearl.

Service was great because they are family. Location was good and food was made to order. Unfortunately, there are no English TV channels and all Spanish channels were blurry and fuzzy. At 4am every day a neighborhood roster woke us up. Worst of all, we had to pay entire bill in cash because their credit card machine has been Brocken for over a month.

Yolanda and her staff truly made us feel at home and like family. We were all sad to leave. They were beyond accommodating. We had two rooms, each very unique and distinct. Units 7 and 8 are on 3rd floor and are large with a good view...but no elevator. Breakfast was great and the grounds of the property tranquil and just lovely. One important note PAYMENT IS EXPECTED IN CASH or a wire transfer, no credit cards accepted. This is true for nearly all establishments on the island other than restaurants, tour companies and a few other exclusive stores, so come with plenty of cash or plan to visit the ATM. We loved our stay and if ever in the Galápagos again would definitely return to The Galapagos Pearl B & B!
