Excellent location and friendly staff! Fridge on common area for your own food/drinks. Next to fish market, you can see pelicans right next to hotel. Quiet during nights, so good sleep guaranteed.

La Peregrina was a lovely place to stay! Stayed here as a family (2 adults; 2 teens). Rooms are clean and comfortable, the property is a beautiful place to relax, and a delicious breakfast. Great location. Staff was nice and helpful and stored our bags before and after checkin while we explored around. Would definitely recommend!

La Peregrina is a beautiful place to stay. We loved hanging out in the hammocks. Great spot for walking around Puerto Ayora

The hotel is in a great location but it was really basic for $89. I had thought it might be a bit nicer. The room was small but had a private bathroom and AC. Be careful in the shower - the tile is extremely slippery! The water temp is also variable and will go from cold to scalding hot. Some of the staff are more friendly than others.

Stayed there February 5-6, 2022.This place was great. Sort of a hybrid Bed & Breakfast/Hotel. The owners were amazingly friendly and beyond helpful. Can't say enough good things about them. And the location is EXACTLY where you would want to be if this was your first time to Galapagos - right on the main strip of Charles Darwin Avenue with the bank, ATM, pubs, amazing restaurants to try, the fish market/wharf where you can watch seals and birds come right up looking for scraps - all within walking distance and no possible way to get lost on the 7 or 8 minute walk to the National Park, or beach, ice cream, coffee, souvenirs, you name it.
Anyway, the place had a good feel and just what you'd want - a base to explore from, with friendly suggestions and help for first time visitors.

I am not sure you can find a better location in Puerto Ayora. It is right on Av. Charles Darwin, a short walk to the Charles Darwin Center in one direction and the pier is a short walk in the other. Many places to dine or get a drink close-by. The laundry service was a plus and very reasonable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Good price and really great location, right on the front! Check in was simple and friendly, although the staff didn’t speak great English and we don’t speak great Spanish. I’m sure the staff can offer help with trips etc if you speak good Spanish. Breakfast was included although as we were up so early every day, we didn’t actually try it.
The room was clean but quite dated. They also advertise themselves as having an in-room safe, laundry service and toiletries - none of these are true. It’s not the end of the world but we like to plan for things like this, and we would normally always book a room with an in-room safe especially somewhere like the Galápagos, where access to cash machines are limited. The hotel didn’t have safe facilities at all, not even behind the desk. I just feel it shouldn’t advertise as supplying things like this if it doesn’t, as facilities like this are deciding factors when people come to book their stay.

Very nice place to stay. Unbelievably quiet place in the middle of a garden in the middle of a very busy tourist town. Very close to the beach and many good restaurants. Wifi worked, but very slow, just like the rest of the island. Bathroom nice and very clean; plenty of hot water water but temperature fluctuates often requiring constant adjustment. I still rate it 5, overall.

The room was clean and comfortable. Every day the towels were changed, consumables were replaced and things were cleaned.
Breakfast consists of fruit juice, a bowl of fruit (served with granola (whatever that is) and yogurt if required), bread and eggs cooked to your preference. It was always served with a smile.
The shower temperature could be temperamental, but if you can avoid freezing or scalding for the first minute or so, and persist with it, a really great shower could be had.
There was just about enough storage in the room for two people with a lot of stuff. Wet stuff could be hung under the veranda outside.
WiFi is very dodgy everywhere except for under the outside hammock area, where it is very slightly better. The WiFi issue seems to be island wide, so it can't be held against Peregrina too much.
The best thing about this b+b, however, is its location which amongst the very best on the planet. It is only yards from the fish dock, where one of the greatest free shows on earth takes place every day.
If we ever return to Santa Cruz, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

I must start review by saying the staff was wonderful however I was very disappointed in the rooms. We stayed 2 nights before our cruise and 1 night on our return. The first room we got was very small (slept 3) and sink leaked all over the floor, we had to shut it off below the cabinet. On our return trip the room was dirty and air conditioning didn’t work in the back room. I expected a much nicer facility for the price we paid and the photos shown on the website. I think we would have been better off in a hostel for $25. The location was great and the breakfast was very nice.

The hotels location is perfect. Tucked away from the main busy street but close to every restaurant you would want to try. Also a close walk to the Charles Darwin Research Center. The rooms are about average e of what you can get on the island. The beds were comfortable but the hot shower was an issue. The water would fluctuate from ice cold to burning hot. The breakfast includes is quite simple: fruit, eggs, coffee, toast and jelly. We only ate it once and found better food elsewhere.
