Staff is wonderful. We ended up hanging out in the lobby most evenings and had food delivered for dinner. Great vibe.

Hotel was walking distance to lake tahoe blvd. The hot tub, smores kit, pet friendly, complimentary sparkling wine, heated toilet seats, and free parking were pros.
Lack if stairs (our room was on the 3rd floor), lack of parking spaces (had to park across the street at lobby area), limited lobby hours (7am-10pm), uncomfortable beds and pillows, lack of microwave in standard rooms (hotel unable to fulfill microwave request), and resort fee were cons.
I may consider staying here again for a short trip but will look else where if planning to stay more than 3 days.

This hotel made me and my family’s short vacation perfect. Staffs were just amazing. Hotel is so cozy and our room was super clean. We were so happy and absolutely we will visit again.

AMAZING!!! 10/10. Clean, cute, and we saw a bear right outside from our balcony! So cool!!! The beds are also very comfortable! Great location!

Im not one to leave review's but i feel that it's a must. Wonderful hotel and doesn't break the bank. Service 10/10 all staff including general manager were welcoming and and were quick to address any questions or concern. Went the extra mile to get to briefly know us and gave us good recommendations during our stay and for our future visits. Location is great walking distance to mainly everything stores, casino, and restaurants. We definitely will be back.
Thanks Ben, Sosa, and Magarate (not sure if that was her name but she was amazing and fun to talk to while at the bar 11/7/24 around 6pm).
Keep up the great job and the positive vibes

It’s an amazing property, the VIP service was amazing, the amenities are incredible for all members of the family.

Building is old, bathroom door can’t open fully, carpet is dirty as hell. Stairs is dirty and sticky. There is no way to get an exceptional rating.

The hotel itself is in a perfect location, and the common areas are great. The renovation looks good
Just a few things about the room: 1)one of the lights didn't turn on 2) we couldn't figure out the TV remotes, prob most confusing ones ever lol. But that might be more of a user error on our part. 3) showerhead was not working properly. Ruben really tried his best and improved it but, that shower needs a new piece. 4) I had requested hypoallergenic pillows in my reservation, and both beds had feather. They were replaced by a very sweet William Sanchez. 5) I requested decaf coffee packets 2x, and when finally delivered they were regular coffee. 6) not a room issue, but the parking on Saturday night was atrocious. The hotel should have enough spots for their guests or work something out w the city because the 2hour parking around the neighborhood is a buzz kill.
Otherwise, beds were comfy, toilet seat warmer is great, and the tap water is the best. Also love the lotion and the Malin and Goetz bath products. We would stay again, but would hope room issues are cleared up. Thanks for the hospitality.

Liked the location, interior and exterior design, room size, cleanliness and easy check in and check out process
Here's where it went wrong:
1) strong pot smoke smell through our window every night,
2) walls and ceilings don't have proper sound insulation. We could hear people partying next door to us until 2:30 in the morning and couldn't sleep and couple arguing above us in the morning and woke us up the next morning.
3) mini fridge wasn't working
4) TV and wifi was spotty everyday.

This hotels location was great. Was able to take a scooter into the main area of town also had private beach access which was a plus.
The only downside for me was the rooms were so dim. Even with every light on it felt so dark. I couldn’t keep the curtain open to let light in because our room was on the 2nd floor and I felt like everything was visible.
The black out windows were great in the mornings, just wished there was a lighter curtain I could have used during day time.

Easy to reach by car and spacious parking even for RVs. Very friendly staff. Cozy rooms. Good breakfast options. Great to have the possibility for late check-in. Walking distance to the beach and surrounding restaurants. Good and strong Wi-Fi in the rooms and throughout the hotel area.
Lotion and shampoo containers were not refilled (empty). Thin walls between the rooms. When we arrived to check in (around 9 PM), the marshmallows were out, and it wasn't cleaned and was messy around the fires outside. The staff came and turned off the fire at 10 PM, so it ended up being a short and disappointing evening in our room, unfortunately. No indoor bar service available after 10 PM. I wished there was something to eat or a restaurant/bar menu for a cozy & longer time by the fire, but there wasn't any.
We’d gladly visit this place again and recommend it to others, provided that you can check in earlier in the day to have time to enjoy the pool, fires, complimentary bikes, marshmallows, etc.

Awesome hotel. Funky old motel transformed into a retro funky fun modern place to stay.

Cleanliness and amenities.
2.0 / 5.0
The room doesn’t have a door sign says “do not disturb”. We normally don’t ask house keeper to clean the room if we only stay for 3 days. The house keeper came to clean the room but didn’t refill coffee and body lotion was empty.

Easy check-in. Ample parking. Spacious room. Nice vibe. WE enjoyed our stay at the Coachman and will stay there again when we return to Late Tahoe.

Really charming place! The bonus was the added free access to the private beach of which we took full advantage. The only thing that about the rooms were that they were a bit small but doable.

We loved the coachman. It felt like we were at an adult summer camp. The outdoor areas and lobby were so nice to hang out in after a long day of hiking. The rooms were comfortable and clean. No complaints!

They need to have brighter lights in the room, helpful to have hangers for clothes. Ensure towels are clean.

Really cute hotel! The coffe/bar reception are was really cute & they offered smores every night! Had a fire pit downstairs but wished they had the upstairs fire pit too because it was always taken downstairs! Overall great stay and lots of amenities such as gym, bikes and lakeside access! Will definitely stay again

Didnt recive the vip package!
Shower had no pressure, handyman came looked at it and said nothing i can do.
No shampoo or conditioner, but they did provide.
Other than those 3 things, hotel is well situated, close to beach and downtown.
Plenty of parking, free smores to cook.
Staff in the front are friendly.

READ IF YOU CARE ABOUT SERVICE!!
The service and staff here are absolutely horrible. The walls are so thin, every footstep sounds like it’s in your room.
Hoping management can review the following:
Our check in was late, lacked any hotel information, and they forgot to give us our included beach passes (which we only found out about when we WENT to the beach and had to walk back to the hotel to retrieve them… a saving of $60/day)
The staff behind the reception desk/bar were absolutely USELESS. They were disingenuous, lacking simple customer service skills and hotel information… one told us to re-fill the hot water container ourselves if we wanted tea…another refused to give us our VIP Expedia perks (2 drinks per stay and a bottle of champagne, which we had in writing on our reservation) and she insisted that my perk was not valid because they “changed their policy”..it was not until I contacted Expedia and asked for the managers name (Benjamin) that she gave it to us. There should be a dedicated receptionist who can handle these things and isn’t also a bartender to reduce guest confusion.
Honestly, HE is the only one who cares about the property and guests. He was friendly but left doing the work that his staff should be doing (ex: cleaning up deck)…he needs to hire better staff instead of hipsters who think they’re too cool to be hospitable in the hospitality industry.
I was prepared to give this review a 1/5…this place WILL suffer if you keep those employees around.

The lady at check in was amazing, very helpful and nice (blond with eclectic makeup). We swam and enjoyed the complimentary smores, very nice. Food was available until 9pm. I tried to order dinner at 810 and was told cook was on a break, which is fine, but odd to have a 830-9pm window to order food. We determined about 9pm the AC unit was broken, called maintenance and confirmed. They offered a fan or try a new room. We were given a new room but it was already taken (figured this when we walked in on the current renters). As they were booked they offered half off the price with fans for the room or full refund. We opted to drive home at 10pm with a full refund. The staff was nice and helpful, just unfortunate situation. To add insult to injury, tried to use the restroom before the 2 hour trip home and both restrooms were out of service which was difficult with two kids. The amenities were great, room was small, price didn’t seem to match ($273/night) however seems the going rate for Tahoe.

We choose this hotel for being pet friendly and it was but the beach and around it wasn't the checking in very late until 4pm and the room have the shampoo and soap empty i call and text and not answer we have to go to the front desk to get help they aend a girl that did not complete the job the bed super noise like plastic, very hot. The room air conditioning working very poorly unable to sleep people outside walking up and down all night not a great experience
