We enjoyed it all.

Like: Very clean and excellent mattress.
Didn't like: no tissue paper and body lotion provided. Not bright enought, too dark to read while sitting at the desk.

Easy check-in with very helpful and friendly staffs.
Rooms were spacious and clean. Could do with a larger size pillow, as it was square in shape.

Fantastic staff who worked very hard and always friendly. A wonderfully large and airy room with all things required including air con. The supermarket downstairs is handy and very well stocked.
The breakfast was delicious with freshly baked rolls and croissants and the access to the Volendam dijk and bus stop to Edam and Amsterdam is in walkable distance, even for older people.
As someone who visits regularly as have family in Volendam, it is a perfect place to stay as a base, but also for relaxation. Hopefully the swimming pool will be repaired ASAP, but Volendam has another fantastic pool just a small bus or bike ride away.
Highly recommend this great hotel.

The room was pleasant & spacious
The shower was powerful & warm
The room was cleaned regularly
I left €100 in my room in my suitcase & it wasn’t there when I got back later that day so I can only assume that the room cleaner touched my person belongings & stole it

Very friendly helpful staff. Nice location. A little way out of the city but easily accessed by bus. Breakfast was very good. Nice cafes and bars within easy walk.

Great value for money. There were only 2 things we thought were a little dissapointing. The first one was that the bubble pool was the same heat as the main pool. Bubble pools are usually a lot warmer, so we only stayed in it for 5 minuets. The second thing is that the doors to the breakfast were locked at 7.55 when we came down. The first hotel I've ever stayed at like this. I wondered afterwards how people needing to leave early would resolve this issue.
Otherwise we loved the hotel!

Very helpful staff and wonderful room especially the bathtub!

The area around the hotel is beautiful and close to the charming villages of Holland. The bus to Amsterdam Centraal stops out front and takes about 30 minutes. However, the trip to the airport is not direct, and not easy if you’re hauling much baggage. The hotel room was pretty roomy and clean, but outdated. The double bed was 2 singles pushed together. There is no air conditioning, which I would not have expected to be a problem in early May but it was unseasonably warm, which made sleeping very uncomfortable. I think ceiling fans in the rooms would be a huge plus! Otherwise, I can’t imagine how uncomfortable it would be in the hottest part of summer. The hotel staff was exceptionally nice, and helpful. There is a convenience store downstairs in the hotel that has very reasonable prices.

THIS PLACE WAS CLOSED WHEN WE ARRIVED AT 7 PM and have been trying them over the phone since 3 PM but nobody was attending the call.WHen we reached we were told the hotel had closed down. This is a half an hour by taxi from the central station do not recommend at all for any one who plans on visiting amsterdam

Nice stay apart from the check in procedure. Not set up for English. We knew Reception closed at 5 and had to email hotel to say we would be arriving later. Received email to say we could check in until 2300 hrs. Arrived to find all doors locked but intercom beside main door. We pressed the button and got a message in Dutch and some music then it cut off. Pressed again, more music then someone answered. We gave our name and it cut off again. We thought someone was coming to let us in. After 10 minutes we pressed again. The man came on and said we'd been cut off. He gave us a code which we put in one of the boxes on the wall and we retrieved a key card, allowing us access There was a notice on door, also in Dutch and German and a phone number which I tried, but the message was the same as the intercom. The system is probably a very good idea, providing you know the procedure. This could easily have been explained in the email we received. We have travelled all around the world and this is the worst checkin experience we have ever had!
Apart from that, the hotel was in a lovely location, ony 10 minutes walk into Volendam. Very easy to get to from the airport. Breakfast wasn't very good for the price, but supermarket on site sells fresh bread, croissants and anything else you might need.
The room was very clean, with fresh towels every day, and the beds were comfortable although not very wide.
Staff pleasant but not that interested in my check inexperience.

Hotel reception is in a contiguous but separate building from the guest rooms and feels very much like a hostel (or youth hostel) - the staff are casual rather than formal and reception sits between a convenience store and the dining room just like in a typical hostel. The building with guest rooms also adds to the feeling you're staying at a hostel. I mention this only as it seems very overpriced - without breakfast - for a hostel and for the money I had expected that special 'hotel' experience.

Very nice hotel. Part of a complex of small cabins for rent, a marina, some shops and restaurants. Had a bit of a "hostel" or camp feel. We were only there one night, but I can see that it would be a great place for a family vacation. It is a short walk from the Volendam-Marinapark EBS bus stop from Amsterdam so also is a good place for a easy trip outside of the city. Once there it is an easy walk to the Volendam waterfront where there aremany restaurants and shops and you can get on the ferry to Markum.
