It’s a hostel. In an expensive area.

While I am reluctant to post a negative review, for the small fortune that it cost to stay here we were very disappointed with our experience. It doesn’t take much to make a stay even half good, the biggest piece being you are prepared to get what you pay for. Unfortunately there are few options in this part of the province seemingly, driving up pricing into what feels like highway robbery. The parking was limited forcing many guests to choose a piece of the narrow street. As a parent travelling with two kids, extremely disappointed to have paid close to $300 for 3 single beds that we had to make ourselves, in a tiny room with no AC, no window safety features and downtown Squamish. If there were towels we didn’t know where to find them. The bathrooms are open to any gender, which would be fine if they were self contained units, but the closed off bathroom with separate shower stalls and toilets open sink area didn’t feel like a safe choice for a family accommodation. I wish I had all the facts before I booked, would have skipped the stay here and driven extra hours for sure.

Clean, quiet, good kitchen set-up and a nice outdoor space. We had a hotel style double which was perfect for a grandparent and grandson to spend time together.
The location provided easy access to the town centre and to the climbing camp meeting place as well! Oh…and the ice cream!!

Decent place to stay!

This was my first time staying at a hostel and the staff made me feel so welcomed! I felt like I had a bunch of questions and the man working the front counter answered everything and gave me a quick tour. They've got a bunch of different places setup outside to relax and they've even got a BBQ for folks to use. I would not hesitate to stay here again - in fact, I'm looking forward to it!

The staff was helpful, the hostel was clean, the other guests were friendly. Great vibes all around. The only thing that was difficult was parking our van as the parking lot here is small and we drove a camper van. There is also no AC in this hostel so it can get pretty toasty during a summer heatwave! We loved the location's proximity to the beach and cute coffee shops and climbing locations. I would stay here again.

This hostel was a lovely place to stay for our family of five. We had a private room with 6 beds. The 2nd floor community bathrooms are split into men’s and women’s which is nice.
The community kitchen is well equipped.

Lovely place with friendly people. Close to everything you need and really nice river path to walk directly on the property.

The location of this place is amazing! It's two steps away from a lovely path along nature, yet only a few minutes walk from the town's ammenities. And, it has the spectacular mountain view in the backdrop. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and the layout and set up of the place is practical and user friendly. There were 1 or 2 spots that wouldn't pass the white glove test so I gave a 4/5 for cleanliness but the rest was 6/5. I also appreciated that I was able to book 1 night, rather than a 2 night minimum and that it didn't break the bank. Thanks for a great stay. I will recommended it to friends.

Nice little hostel but nothing to write home about.

Quiet, clean room. Staff is really nice and good views of the river out the window. It’s about 45 mins from Whistler. Longish drive. Wish the showers had some flow. The goal seems to be to save water but with flow like that, you have to waste water and shower much much longer just to get clean. Please fix.

Hostel feel

Too small dining space, however many people occupied for so long the dinning space and sofa areas with keeping chatting, reading and having laptop computer even though they dont even have dinner at the tables. I was wating to have dinner for over more than 30 minutes, but still no space to have a dinner.
So I had to have dinner in my car, unfortunately, i dropped the ketchup on my brand new white ski jacket and bad red stain was made on it.
I don't know why there is no time limit rule to stay at dining area on dinner time.

I needed an affordable place to stay while my son was at Outdoor School - basically just a room to sleep in with a bathroom. We booked a hotel-style room so we didn’t have to share space with anyone else but I really liked the hostel. It was very organized and clean and I felt very safe. Staff was super friendly.

They left dirty towel on the floor in the room so wonder if they actually clean the room thought the beds are made and trash can is empty. The bed was ok. Woke up with back pain.
