The hotel was great. Good location. Clean rooms. However, the hotel is right on the harbor where the cruise ships come in. There was a lot of loud horns at night and in the morning. Also, the hotel had a DJ on the pool deck Saturday night when we stayed. The bass thumped in our room till 2:30 AM. Then people continue to party until approximately 5 AM. We didn’t get a wink of sleep that night. When we brought this up to the front desk staff, she dismissed it. There was no apologies or any concern for the inconvenience . Would not stay here again

The service provided is super friendly and super helpful. Hugo the Manager is such a class act, nothing is too much trouble for him or his staff. Special Mention also to Gorati who ran the show in terms of the Dining, Bar and Breakfast set up. A Beautiful personable lady who made our experience so welcoming. We cannot wait to return in 2025. Its been 7 years prior to this week since we last visited, we will be coming back for sure.

Really great welcome. Initial issue over the room type was immediately and efficiently sorted by Katrina, who continued to be extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

A short break booked at the last minute, we found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful and hotel is ideally located to Funchal centre. The breakfast offering was great with very good selection of food to choose from. The only thing I would say was that the bed was a little too firm for both my wife and I, this is obviously a personal thing. Overall a great stay and I would recommend to friends and family.

Although the hotel boasts a fantastic staff and an excellent location, our experience was marred by several issues. The noise levels in the hotel were exceptionally high, compounded by a nearby nightclub blaring loud music until 8am every Friday and Saturday. Additionally, there was ongoing construction beneath our room throughout our stay, which proved to be highly disruptive. Our room felt rather dim, to the extent that we needed a flashlight to navigate the obscured wardrobe. While the pool seemed inviting, it unfortunately served as a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Moreover, the pool bar service was practically non-existent, prompting most guests to venture downstairs for a drink due to the lack of service. I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone.”

Stay away from this place roaches and ants on the bathroom, cracks on the floor room smells like humidity ac was not working at the moment of arrival lady came to fix it not a good experience

The a/c didn’t work, clogged bathroom sink, door going to balcony broken, glass next to door spiderwebbed, had to move to a second room because we couldn’t get into our first room, had to repack to move, send hotel director an email since there is no site manager and he never responded.

Very friendly staff, super clean hotel, excellent breakfast. The welcome drink was a Lovely touch! Perfect location and gret views from the pool area. Would highly recommend. If you are a football fan (regardless of the team) its a fun hotel with a chilled atmosphere.

It was a good stay overall. However the lighting in the room was awful. It’s not enough light to do anything. We have to use flashlights to pack our bags. I emailed the hotel a few times before landing to ask about airport shuttles but never got a response. Breakfast was the same things everyday…not the best. They should be a water station that guests can use for water without being charged. The staff was very friendly and nice!!

I had a few issues with my booking where Expedia over charged me, but Expedia Customer Service are absolutely awful and do not care about quality customer service, that is based on my experience so far! This has still not been resolved due to Expedia's poor service. Whereas the CR7 hotel experience was fantastic! The staff at reception and in the restaurant were fantastic & extremely helpful! Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner was great! The facilities at the hotel were great with a nice roof top pool, sauna, jaccuzi and outdoor gym! The location is great and 15-20min to walk to the old town.

It’s a good experience. However the back door of my room didn't lock (was broken), had to wait for someone to fix it. The room was very dark with only blue light under the bed and over the curtain to guid you. Would be perfect for a honeymoon instead of a holiday stay hotel. In my bathroom was a fake “camera” on the top corner of the wall. Made us uncomfortable. The curtains are so high we couldn’t reach to close it properly. The air con wasn’t really working.

Great location and staff! Buffet breakfast was incredible. Comfy beds. Loved the complimentary drinks during check in which was fast and also the complimentary tickets to CR7 museum. Excellent stay. View of Marina was nice as well.

Definitely not a 4 star! For starters the hotel lobby leaves a lot to be desired. The furniture looks like the cheapest a bachelor would buy at Ikea for his first apartment. Poor quality and do not have the smallest dimension for space. It looks like improvised decoration! It is not even warm to spend a pleasant moment in the lobby. The reception desk looks like the one they would put to sell tickets impromptu at an event Breakfast and everything arranged improvised on a bar and tables. Broken toaster It is not intended for the purpose inside a hotel. At dinner the smell of the kitchen invades the lobby. It seems like entering a Mc Donald's Without overlooking that it works so that anyone who is not a guest of the Hotel can have dinner. They don't vacuum in the room. Dirty carpet throughout the stay. Dirty curtains with stains. Ugly smell Barely a hand soap and shampoo dispenser No details of a 4 star They just go to make the bed. Because of the look and quality, the bathrooms look like those of a renovated hostel. The phone was never connected. I let myself be carried away by the location and the view. It's not worth it. Not to mention if you paid for a room with an ocean view You will only see cruise ships that moor right there. The hotel has only one floor. The cabins of the cruise ship will be much higher than your room. They can't sell that. The hotel entrance on the avenue goes unnoticed among the low-end locals Very little investment for this chain

Location great, level walk to old town. Staff wonderful. Great breakfast, but limited food in evening. Room decor is wierd, dark grey walls, poor lighting, and strange window from bedroom to shower, although there is a blind.

Parking was technically ‘off site’ but was under the hotel and the elevators access the hotel. Rooms were basic but spacious. Bed firm, rooms quiet, and cleaned daily. Our ocean facing view was occasionally blocked by the cruise ships docking (knew this prior due to other reviews). Only a few minutes away from the old town and tons of restaurants near by. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Great location. Good service. Great breakfast. But the loungers and chairs outside are very tired. Yea and coffee facilities could be improved. But I would recommend the room overlooking the cruise ships. It was something different to enjoy everyday.
