The hotel is not honest about its promises. I received an email encouraging me to check in online a day early, which promised a "welcome in style." However, there was no such welcome upon my arrival. When I inquired with the staff, they seemed completely unaware of what that "welcome in style" referred to.
The room was very cramped, offering just enough space for our small bags, leaving us with little room to move. The cleaning staff refused to change our bedding, saying they only do so every three days. The woman who came to assist us, seemingly in charge of the cleaning team, was wearing earphones and didn’t acknowledge us when she entered. Instead, she brusquely stated, "I heard you need my service," in a condescending tone. As she made the bed, she continued speaking, either to herself or to someone on the other end of a call, and there was no friendliness in her demeanor. I believe she spoke a language other than German, which I understood.
Apart from this - everything else was ok

Nice budget friendly hotel room. Bed was comfy. Room has climate control and a decently sized shower/ bathroom.
My favourite hotel all holiday

Really enjoyed our stay, the hotel was perfect for our needs. The hotel was about a 40 min tram ride (no 5) from Centraal station, the route passed by the Van Gogh museum and close by Anne Frank’s house so was in a good position for main sites. The tram stop was about 2 mins away from the hotel. The room was fairly compact with the trundle bed, but we didn’t mind at all with us barely spending any time there during the day. The en suite/shower was lovely. Breakfast comprised of a nice buffet with rolls, cheeses, meats, fruit, cereals etc and juices and hot drinks. The hotel itself had a convenient site in the ground floor and lovely restaurant next door. Also saw a heron in the outside pool. I would say this is a perfect option for people who want to save on accommodation to allow them to see the sites, and don’t mind hopping trams to get about. We bought a 3-day pass and it gave us the freedom to get about, and easily navigate getting back to the hotel.

We paid extra for late checkout and specifically asked the staff not to be disturbed but unfortunately, housekeeping barged into our room 2.5 hours before checkout time, without knocking. One of the bed sheets had small brown stains on it. Apart from those, the room was okay for the price.

No face towels during my stay. Hotel lacked cleanliness. Reception staff could be more friendly. Rooms were worn and needs updating.

The initial impression was of a small room with no USB connections but the hotel was actually comfortable, the front desk staff were wonderful, breakfast was good.
There was open air parking for bikes which wasn't ideal for us but adequate.
The Ibis is very convenient for the Line 5 tram stop and other public transport so it was easy to get into Amsterdam and the line had a stop at Museumplein for those that want to do the Rijksmuseum or the Van Gogh museum.

Great location in about of city.

It is a long way out of the city, the trams are a great service and it has good connections to the local train station (Zuid is the big one) so its not really a problem but do plan ahead and do your research. Three day travel ticket was great value for the amount we used it.
The staff were ok, but when I requested a ticket to be printed the first girl was not very helpful and seemed quite put out to be asked, but another lady was much more helpful. Check in and out was ok but not very welcoming or pleasant when leaving!
The hotel is VERY basic - room has no chair just a plastic stool, no bedside table, no desk, no kettle. Just a bed and that's about it, and a rail with a few hangers to hang up a couple of items. Bed was ok but the memory foam bit is just dumped on top and moves around a lot, and with the non fitted sheet I found myself nearly falling out of bed! Not a great nights sleep
Breakfast was acceptable but it is just a continental and not that varied, though there is plenty of it available, and drinks are good. Breakfast staff were very nice and helpful.
Vending machines basic and the little shop in the foyer is ok but very over priced - go to the Albert Hjein shop two tram stops towards town up for a much better shopping experience!
Overall for the quite high price paid this was a disappointing experience, I understand Amsterdam is not a cheap city for anything but I expected a lot better. Would probably try and book something closer and a bit more luxurious!

Trio room was tiny, definitely not big enough for 3 people

It is walkable from the tram station which connects to the city center. Breakfast was really good. A very easy check-in & check-out. Hotel staff was polite and helpful. Thank you!

The customer service here was horrendous. The games room , as advertised, was all out of order. The room was only cleaned when we complained. The t.v was temperamental. The bed was horrid, it smelt of stale sweat. I woke up each morning with a stiff neck and back ache.
Never, ever again.

Clean basic hotel close to public transport. Not too much in the immediate area of interest including restaurants but staff were helpful and friendly.

I recently stayed at the Ibis Budget in Amsterdam and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I am giving it two stars out of five.
The service was particularly disappointing. When I inquired about parking, I was informed that it was fully booked, and the staff member I spoke to was unhelpful and dismissive, stating that it was "not his responsibility." Given that parking is an essential service for many guests, this lack of assistance was frustrating, especially considering that I was charged around €15.
Moreover, the room itself was very small and not properly cleaned. It’s disheartening to arrive at a hotel and find the room in such poor condition. This made my stay uncomfortable and certainly did not meet my expectations.
Overall, the combination of poor service, a small and unclean room, and the lack of support regarding parking made for a very unsatisfactory stay.

The rooms are small, but perfect as an overnight stay for 3-4 days. Good aircon, but no access to a fridge. Fast public transport close to the hotel. Easy to buy tickets for public transport at the nearest station with Visa or other credit cards
3.0 / 5.0
Everything was perfect, just the parking was an issue that we faced as they get full fast. Parking on the street also gives a maximum of 2 hours which was inconvenient. Also you need to mention if you need housekeeping.

Very very small room. When I put three adults, they shouldn’t book that room for three people .

Great hotel for those who look for low budget stay at Amsterdam and still, close to city center by tram

I liked its location. It was very peaceful at night and really easy to reach just grabbing one tram bus from the center of the city. Loved it!

We had a good stay. Comfortable beds, simple room and bathroom. Reasonable price for service. Easy to get to the city centre - best to get a travel card (GVB).

On checking in, i booked 2 rooms as i am a family of 5, but they only had conformation for 1 room. ( booked though Expedia) luclky they found us another room, staff were very helpful. Rooms small, but that was fune, breakfast ok if you only want cold choice, would of been nice to have tea and coffee in rooms.

One particular staff (mexican guy, sorry I forgot your name) was super friendly and always eager to help. The others were not that bothered to be friendly or help.
Unfortunately there was a mistake on their part with the laundry booking and the hotel did not do anything to accommodate and we had to leave the hotel without sorting it out.
0.5 / 5.0
Absolutely appalling, staff didn’t seem interested form the moment we arrived, check in took ages and they gave us the wrong key cards we had to sort them out ourselves. We weren’t Informed about breakfast times etc. staff did not look professional and were quite ignorant. The hand soap in the bathroom in our room was empty, beds fold out from the wardrobe and rooms are very small I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and don’t usual leave reviews but this hotel is appalling.

Although it was very clean, the rooms were unbearably small, especially if you're a family of 3.

Warm and comfortable. Pizza machine in reception area very good idea. Very close to tram station for easy access to Amsterdam town.
Breakfast ok but no toaster. No hot food available.
No English tv channels.

Our stay was good, but weather wasn`t so good.
But we still very enjoyed our trip, we travel alot by public transport which well organized. We had visited many museums across Amsterdam.

The room i selected turned out to be small and had no furniture or closets which you dont always get the best photos to see that. I never thought that was a thing. We just wanted a decent priced hotel room with a bed for my spouse and I and one for our child. That is hard to find in Europe. The key card had to be inserted into a device on the wall in order to keep the lights on when leaving. They didn't have washcloths at all but I bring my own because they are soft and Iknow most hotel towels are not. When i tried to get fresh towels from the front desk they didn't have a handtowel. We didn't want housekeeping to come in while we were there so i had to go to the front desk for everything as there was no phone in the room either. The only "chair" was this plastic stool thing and it was in the way so I put it under the sink. The shower is small as is the bathroom. The breakfast should have been free because they really don't give you anything better than hotels that offer free breakfast and you don't get anything warm. No toaster for the bread but 3 coffee makers. We ended up paying more because of the tourist tax and the parking. You can't drive anywhere once you park your car so no driving down the street for a late night pizza or gasing up before you leave.

Clean and welcoming. A way out of the centre but right next to the tram so that was ok.
