Location is perfect. Close to everything. View outside the balcony is beautiful. Quite neighborhood. Parking next to the hotel.
It is more a hostel than a hotel. Easy check in . Basic facilities . Good stay for 2 days. Did not spend much time in the room .

Lovely place near the Cathedral and within a 10 minute of the old town. The host was very informative, friendly and accomodating. Room was a good size and clean and the small balcony was a bonus. There are a few cafes nearby, perfect for breakfast.

I got a text from staff that I had to check in before 930pm or I would not be able to check in. My flight was delayed and I was not going to be able to make it in before 10pm. When I reached out to explain, I was not met with any understanding, I will spare the details. Luckily I had friends who arrived in the area ahead of me and they were able to check me in at the 9:30 cut off.
I also got some bug bites in the night at this hotel and the bed did not seem clean...although the location was beautiful, I would not stay here again...
Highly recommend this area and swimming in the sea at the near by beach!

Javier was great!!! We had a great 2 nights here!! The cathedral was nearby so that was our point of reference when we traveled in and out of town. Everywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

stayed here for 1 night on route from England to Alicante the hotel is a little hard to find but in a great location i originally parked in the underground car park but reception guy (very helpful) said it will cost 22 euro per night. he explained that if i can find a parking spot with red/blue squares it is free from 8pm until 9 am so that's what i did a bit hard to find but got one about 5 mins walk away. The parking warden even helped me buy a ticket to cover from 7pm to 8 pm 2 euro. the hotel is basic but clean & very comfortable lovely French doors opening up right opp cathedral old town is just 10min walk lots of little bars in the streets right outside no teat or coffee facilities but a machine in reception coffee or hot chocolate 50 cents and it was good

We were really happy atPension SAN Ignacio Centro. Javier the manager was super friendly and helpful, the beds are comfortable and shower powerful. It’s in a great location and despite the hustle and bustle outside with the window shut the room is really quiet at night. If we went back to SAN Sebastian we’d definitely look at staying here again.

Never stayed in a pension and was very surprised. Balcony with views of the cathedral (under renovations right now) and gardens. Also, they came to clean the room every day for you, which we did not expect! I believe there may have been a breakfast option (or maybe it was included?) at the cafe downstairs but we chose to have breakfast other places. Gave us food recommendations on check in. All staff were very pleasant and even stayed past 2200 to help us check in as our flight got in late. Would definitely stay here again!

Have requested a quiet, bright room but upon arrival was told they only had one above a busy street room available. The staff who claimed he was only on the job for one day told us the noise would stop after 10, which was not true. It was late in the evening, too late for us to find another accommodation plus I have already paid for two nights which left us no choice but to stay and the staff promised they would switch us next day.
After checking in and used bathroom, I noticed a small black “residue” visible in the toilet bowel and a dusty floor and asked the staff to re-clean the bathroom which he did.
Next morning I left a note to the manager asking to switch to a quiet room after putting up with a night of traffic noise. I indicated we would be back after 7. While we were away Xavier the owner emailed me threatening me he would not switch us to a quiet room unless I removed my negative comment posted upon arrival. He confronted me as soon as I entered the place and berated me about my comments and calling me names saying I am not a Canadian but a bad Taiwanese woman.

Fantastic location, easy check in & good communication. A little hot without air conditioning and only a fan.

The location is perfect, in front of the main Catedral of El Buen Pastor, close to the bus station, shopping and walking distance from the old historical down town and the Concha Beach. The building iis dated as expected but the rooms have been uldated. The reception personel specially Javier were helpful and responsive to my request to check in earlier that their normal hours.

Great location, very friendly and helpful desk staff ( thanks for everything Javier), even went to another Pension to borrow an umbrella for us. When we mentioned it was a little cool in the room, they made sure the heat got turned on. Great suggestions for restaurants, felt very safe walking around the area. Loved that the cathedral was right outside our window... what a view!! The bells don’t chime through the night by the way. Don’t be put off by the old entrance.. very updated in the room we had. Has a little bar fridge in room. Small room but certainly enough for a couple. Hooks in the bathroom would be nice. Would highly recommend !

Tricky to find but a wonderful location. The bed was OK the room was clean. I’m not sure how quiet it would be because we were there on a holiday weekend so we heard celebrating in the streets from our room. The best part of staying there was the desk clerk Javier, mid fifties, friendly, Basque, born and raised there, knows everything about the place and is willing to share his knowledge.

Javier is a great host. He kept me posted before my stay. He had to switched me and my friends to another property after booking. It all worked out well. We were very thankful for the information provided by Javier. His English is very good. He told us where to find parking and what color of street parking was for visitors. The rooms were good size. Everything worked well.

The hotel was just on the outskirt of the center which was perfect location for semi quiet but only a short walk from everything in the city.

Housekeeping was extremely friendly. Condition of room was just okay, appeared nicer in pictures, but we didn’t mind. It was in a beautiful area right by the cathedral, walking distance to the beach and shopping area.

Centrally located within walking distance to everything you need. Only 5 minutes from the bus station and the beach and 10 minutes to the old town. We were met without issue and given tons of information and helpful tips. Room small but perfectly adequate with a comfy bed and better than expected for a 2* pension. Would recommend!

The most marvellous agent Xavier was the perfect host and helped with parking and bags above the call of duty, he made our stay exceptional with his local information and his charm and humour. I sincerely hope the management know what a wonderful representative they have in him

Pensión San Ignacio Centro is in a prime location and close to everything you need. The man that checked us in was very friendly and a wealth of information. We did have a small problem with our keys the first night, but that was quickly fixed and all was smooth sailing after that. We would definitely stay here again!
