The resort was unfortunately damaged by the storm. most restaurants and the pool

We had three great meal venues: Biked to Outlet on the Inlet for breakfast and Key lime Cafe for lunch and drove to South Beach Restaurant for dinner and beach front sunset. Sad we had to leave a day early due to Hurricane Helene- but the hotel said they’d credit our account.

Didn’t start out so well with our checkin being a little problematic however, the recovery was great. It’s offseason so it was quiet and peaceful. I would not stay on the bottom floor again the child running around upstairs was noticeable. Let us keep our boat on the trailer in the parking lot and I never worried about anything. We launched at the marina behind but only because we were too lazy to go to the public ramp. That marina is private and not setup for what we wanted to do so we wet slipped it for a night . $50 launch fee was a bit rich for me. Convenience store on property was great and the people are just plain nice. We’ll be back

In the info there was no mention that there is NO walkable beach access, despite the fact that the hotel is right on the water.

Location is very convenient
Staff worked hard to make visit pleasant

Over priced for the age of the facility. Very clean and comfortable.

Patrick was super friendly and helpful with dining and sightseeing recommendations. We loved how spacious our king size room was and that it was right next to the pool with easy access to the parking area. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it as a great option with a convenient store and golf cart rental right on the grounds!

The property manager was super nice and helpful.

From Check In to Check out, everything was fantastic. They even lent us beach towels when we checked in!!!
The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable!

If you prefer an older Florida hotel that is comfortable and clean, this is a great find. So close to the best beaches and located right along the dedicated walking/bike/golf cart path.

More like a motel, than hotel, but it was good, quiet, clean
4.0
Nice functional basic hotel; clean with extra towels, coffee, amenities available from stand in courtyard.
Next to marina and convenience store so lots of trucks, trailers, golf carts, dumpsters share back roadway.

The property is very old and only stairs to 2nd floor also tubs in the rooms very high and hard to get in and out of the shower falling not good for older people they need renovation to walk in showers.
The staff was helpful and very friendly Jo in the main office was great and gave us excellent information about the island and was willing to change our room, but we did stay in our original room and was very careful in and out of the shower for the time spent there it was very nice .

Customer service was excellent

The property itself is well kept and clean. The rooms are quiet. The staff is helpful. For the price and staying in a pristine area of old Florida, it really can’t be beat.

Great proximity to Gasparilla Island. Coffee maker in room did not work. Was unable to regulate thermostat for A/C in room - very chilly. Pool was nice, but could have used a cleaning.

The room was very comfortable and clean. But the price I paid was double of what I should have paid $444,00. The very nice lady that checked us in said we should have called the hotel direct. They would have given me a much better rate. Next time I will call the hotel directly and make up my mind before I book through hotels.com.

Quaint, clean room in tropical decor. Spacious rooms.

Great staff and clean accomodations. Right by the old train bridge- great fishing and kayaking- wonderful to walk out and see the sunset and moonrise.

An old style hotel operated by wonderful people. Great service which is non-existent most other places. Very clean and well kept. Large rooms, recently remodeled. Can't wait to get back and spend more time.

The room was clean however, very rundown and needed serious updating remodeling. Especially for 500$ / night.

The check in process was easy and the gentleman was very noce and accomodating.
We drove a few minutes to the lighthouse and enjoyed a very romantic sunset.
The hotel has an unheated pool and no hot tub, not a big deal but worth mentioning.
The only things that we didnt like was the tv screen in the room was broken (7-10 vertical lines on screen but you can still see the picture), and the sheets on the bed were very sandy. I woke up feeling like i had rolled in a litter box.
The water was the hottest I've ever had at a hotel, and the water pressure was good.
We saved about $135 over a hilton etc, but loved being on the island. I would probably have enjoyed more of a true hotel vibe with housekeeping and more amenities.

The property is well looked after, convenient, and the staff work hard to make it a good stau

We live in Boca Raton and vacation in the Fl Keys often. Boca Grande beaches are ok very rocky due to all the shells. There is nothing to really do and a couple of “ok” restaurants.
We know and love Old Florida charm and this just doesn’t really capture that at all. The small local shops that you see so often in KeyWest and other tourist areas are really no where to be found. Instead you have some public beaches a more of an upscale residential downtown that doesn’t capture the reason you came here, the island vibe. I felt as if I needed a Passport for The Fishing Pier (and I’m of Latino decent). And the trail from the Boca Grande “Hotel” (more on that later) to the Pier is a weed filled, dirty, unsafe, path littered with garbage.
The Boca Grande Hotel is really more like a Motel with a Sanyo TV that didn’t even work with furniture and wallpaper from the 90’s. The atrium has a broken fountain that is poorly disguised with some bad landscaping. And the hallway is dark and doesn’t really feel that safe.
I witnessed guys who looked like they came from a job painting, drunk stumbling out of the car onto the property headed to the Pier. And the “Hotel” is really a Motel in a Florida strip mall.
You also have to pay $6.00 every single time you enter Boca Grande toll bridge no exceptions, no day passes or hotel discounts at all! I took a wrong turn and had to pay again to get back onto the island, yup not kidding. The surrounding area off site is just as underwhelming.

Such a pleasant stay.

Loved everything about this property. Super easy checkin, no hidden resort fees when I checked in/out, super clean and quiet and very tastefully decorated. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in, the shower had great pressure, good sized bathroom - close to absolutely everything. The stafff - AMAZING!! Friendliest most accommodating staff I've encountered in a long time. I highly recommend this property and can't wait to go back.

Very conveniently located hotel on north end of the island. Pleasant and helpful staff. Spacious room, clean. Convenient parking, small but nice pool. Keurig in the room and small refrigerator.
The cell service there is not good though, and WiFi has a spotty signal. Not sure Hotel can really remedy that.

Great place to stay! Close drive to everything, store within walking distance, beautiful walking path, quiet and safe. Hotel has beach towels available and books to borrow. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, enjoyed my stay.

I needed a place on the island for a couple of nights and the BG Resort was perfect for me. Everyone was helpful/nice and the room, the room was nice/clean, and overall it was exactly what I was looking for.

Area still rebuilding after hurricane Ian and we went off season. That is the time to visit this gem on the west coast of Florida.
