Superb sea view with fresh air.

Less choice for breakfast buffer

We like the low density of 30 villas and layout of the villas. As its on the hillside , there buggy service to transport you everywhere and they are prompt and service excellent. The room service, buffet very tasty .. compliments to the chefs . Its exclusive and private , different from the conventional 4-5star hotels . 10mins ride to enjoy turtles laying eggs on the beach. Plenty of sea activities for young , just check with the hotel staff and they will recommend you such snorkelling in nearby islands. We definitely use this hotel on our return trip. Btw. The staff was very good , accommodating, and service excellent! Check it out .

Beautiful beach front resort - great for a staycation. Staff are friendly and courteous. The 2 bedroom villa that we stayed in is spacious with ample balcony space. Loved the swimming pool area where you can take a dip or just enjoy the evening sea breeze

Our 3d/2n was relaxing. A very good and quiet resorts to relax and unwind , away from the busy city. Hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. Downside is , there aren’t much in-house games for the kids to kill time when the sun was too hot to be at the beach or poolside. But my kids are ok as there are many channels in the tv for them to surf. We will definitely come back again if we are to travel to cherating as it’s a beautiful resort to unwind.

Stayed one night with wonderful experience.. overall was good... no lack of..

The view was amazing and the pool was clean. However anytime we were in the pool was unable to get drinks or food for well over 1/2 to 1 hour, as no staff.

Staff at Royale Chulan Cherating were awesome. They were always polite and accommodating.

Beautiful place to relax and enjoy the sea. The room is very comfortable and staff very friendly. Although there was not much variety to the buffet spread for breakfast and dinner, the dishes were delicious.

It would be nice if the resort is elderly friendly, there are too many stairs. A good place to rest and relax for the whole family.

As the resort is located at a hill slope, the roads can be quite steep and guests are not able to drive up. Therefore the buggy service is useful, but wait times can get a bit long during peak hours.

Great location overlooking sea however, pool was not maintained. Algae growth. Bed sheet were not changed but rather de odourised. Meals where mostly spicy food. Very little variety Staff was very friendly and pleasant.

The hotel price for a studio doesn't at all reflect the cleanliness and facilities that are available for use. The nice thing was that it was a really quiet place with nothing much to do, so it really works if you want to just chill and relax and get away.

Overall on staying here is good. The hotel is new, only 3 months old, according to the receptionist, so the room and buildings are new and in good condition. But because it is new, there are facilities not ready yet such as gym, and cafe. There are two restaurants where one serves breakfast and one serves dinner. Good: The hotel is on the beach, so you may play on the beach during your stay. It contains two swimming pools, one children pool and one small spa pool. The food ok only, because breakfast serves few choices only, doesn't look like the breakfast served in 4/5 star hotel. Fried egg & omelette are served upon request. The dinner is better than breakfast, serving salad, soup of the day, main course, fruit, coffee/tea. Bad: The hotel does not allow you to drive your car in, you are required to park your car at the parking area provided. You can only walk or take buggy to the place in the hotel whenever you want. Because the hotel is built on the mountain, so, there are a lot of stairs to access to the room, swimming pools, restaurants, beach, etc. There are no lift at all, thus, it is not suitable for elders or disabled people. Think it is suitable for couple or friends.
