Clean and spacious room, a good variety of options for breakfast and most importantly only a short walk from the Haram. Plenty of lifts and even at busy times no long wait times. The hotel is uphill on the way back from the Haram and pavement crowded with street sellers so often walking on the road - just something to keep in mind particularly for anyone with mobility issues.

I am happy with my stay at Hilton conventions as there was lots of construction work going on at the moment due to that lots of Haram area barricaded otherwise it is a very good.
N.B any adult parent using wheelchair will be little bit difficult so check before you book

Its location is horrible, and I am not talking about the distance to Haram but about how you reach it! It's on a plateau. Most of your energy goes when you want to get to the hotel. I recommend not staying in if you are 50 and older.

I like the decorations around the building very stunning. Access to my room was quite confusing. Need clear directions. Multiple lifts to avoid over crowding. Breakfast area was spacious clean.

Family room, had the most fantastic view of the Haram from 21st floor. Clean and kept tidy. Cleaner kept room with 5ppl in tidy every day. The journey to haram was approx 5 min from room. Summer, so hotel was not too busy. Up hill return - means it would be difficult for elderly and frail, especially in heat. But there were ppl with wheelchairs happy to assist. Good for young family with teenagers.

Great location, very close to the Haram - Allhamduliah. Very clean hotel and rooms. great breakfast and can’t complain about the hotel itself HOWEVER front desk staff was not very warm or welcoming, almost rude at times.
The wait time to be able to even speak to someone was always VERY long. They should have more people at the front as customer are checking in and out 24/7.
Things were always slow at the front desk if we had any questions or concerns. We requested a week before our arrival to make sure we have an extra bed in our room - we emailed and even reminded at check in - and yet we had to make 3 calls the same night and wait over 2 hours.
Hotel is great, staff and customer service not so great. Would we stay there again? maybe ….
As long as you don’t have any questions/ and extra needs the hotels is great.
Breakfast is good, location is very convenient.

Convinient location with a short walk to the Haram. Breakfast was great and was the highlight of this stay . Otherwise housekeeping service , bed quality and Wifi speed were all below my expectations for this facility.

Everything was nice. Bell man Obaidul Haque was very helpful for everything we asked like a local guide!!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Convention Hotel in Makkah, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The hotel's location is absolutely perfect for anyone visiting the holy city, as it is conveniently close to the Haram, making it easy to attend prayers.
The moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and efficient service at the check-in counter. The staff were incredibly courteous and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Special thanks to the front desk team for their professionalism and helpfulness.
My room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep after long days of spiritual activities. I also appreciated the stunning view of the city from my room, which added to the overall serene atmosphere of the stay.
The hotel's dining options were fantastic. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious dishes catering to different tastes. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruits and traditional Middle Eastern cuisine. The restaurant staff were attentive and made sure that all my dietary preferences were met.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's amenities. The fitness center was well-equipped, allowing me to keep up with my workout routine. Additionally, the complimentary shuttle service to the Haram was a great convenience, especially during peak prayer times.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It’s located within a 3 minutes walk to AlHaram. Very clean, the food is good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is very clean and comfortable. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in during Omar time or Haj.

While many of the facilities offered are what you would expect from a brand like Hilton, one issue that the hotel needs to look into is their over zealous monitoring of the hotel's closest exit towards the haram. I stayed 4 days and used that exit/entrance extensively but was specifically singled out almost every time to prove that I stayed at the hotel. While I completely understand why the hotel do that but as a customer who was almost asked to prove my stay every single time that I used the gate, by the end it had become a tedious and frustrating experience. It made me feel that there’s some profiling going on which I repeatedly fit into. Nevertheless, except this experience which left a bit of bad taste, everything else was Hilton brand worthy

From start to finish, our stay was amazing. We booked a family room, and the view was breathtaking. Full view of masjidul haram.
From check in to check out everything was perfect. Staff at check in, very friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff, restaurant staff, couldn’t ask for any more. It’s about a 4-5 minute walk to the start of the mosque and another 5 minutes to the gate 79 which is the umrah gate.
I would definitely book it again in the future and recommend it to families.
There is a bit of an uphill walk back to the hotel which can get tiring after umrah but we managed it with 3 children.

Going to Makkah? Heads up, never stay at Hilton Convention Makkah!!!
When I arrived I found out that my original booking was cancelled by the management without being notified. I was transferred with my family to temporary rooms as I was promised to get my originally booked suite the next morning.
The temporary rooms turned out to be dismal, with aging furniture, stained carpets, and cracked countertops in the washroom. Ultimately, not only did I fail to regain my suite, but I was also charged more than the agreed-upon amount for my original booking.

Clean property close to Haram. Good and friendly staff. The prayer area on the 3rd floor is a big plus. Would recommend Hilton Makkah Convention to anyone visiting.
