What a hidden gem! The hosts were wonderful - even packed me a travel breakfast my last morning. The place will take you back in time. I will be back!

This is a totally unique property- a beautifully restored antique with amazing service and exceptional home cooked, gourmet breakfast. Don’t miss this if you are in the area.

David is an excellent host who fixes delicious breakfasts and every day they are different. The Inn is an historical treasure, well maintained and easy to park in front of the Inn. The location is near the Blair Covered bridge and a restaurant that overlooks it. Mountain hiking is not far away. Many restaurants to pick from including The Common Man in several locations with its varied and very good menu.

A B&B that other establishments should emulate. Friendly proprietor who made our stay easy. Good breakfast. Historic building, so steep stairs, but lots of character.

From the greetings at the door to the delicious home cooked, unique breakfast, the stay was great. Beautiful historic colonial home. Very comfortable and quiet.

We had a lovely stay while in the area for a friend's wedding. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the hosts were excellent, the history of the property was fascinating, and we felt so much more relaxed than if we had stayed at a "business hotel". The host greeted us when we returned each evening to ask how our day was and confirm what time we wanted breakfast the next day. Absolutely lovely experience, and we plan on returning.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The Inn reminds me of the original bed and breakfasts my husband and I used to visit back in the day. Cozy and charming with a gourmet breakfast. David and Trevon are such wonderful hosts. They even made me amazing vegan adaptations for breakfast

David met us right away and showed us around made us feel right at home. He also recommend a Greek restaurant that was to die for. Would love to go back again soon.

The innkeepers made our stay so enjoyable.

A delightful and authentic property in a semi-rural area. Auto required to access dining, shopping, hiking trails, and entertainment area. Gracious innkeepers, creative, delicious breakfasts. Only drawback is rooms tend to be chilly when weather turns cold.

This was the best choice ever for leaf peeping! Wonderful good, wonderful host.

Oh my goodness we LOVED our stay! From the hello to the goodbye, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay here. The Inn is so charming and David is just so warm and welcoming! Our room was exactly as described and the entire place is beautiful and just so comfortable. Our daily breakfasts were DELICIOUS and the baked treats and candies left out were such a thoughtful touch.
I would certainly recommend staying, and my boyfriend and I already want to return. The town is lovely too, just an overall quaint little place and we absolutely loved it!

A beautiful and quaint B&B in a lovely part of New Hampshire. Stay here for the breakfasts; host David is basically a gourmet chef and is doing some serious cooking with his scratch-made breakfasts that are different every day.

Rarely have we felt so pampered. David and Trevon were attentive but not intrusive. The breakfast was 5 star and memorable. The perfect ending to a wonderful wedding down the road.

Quaint 18th century house with an excellent host , comfy rooms and a great host (David)

This is a 260 year old home and it shows. The hosts make a great effort and generally they succeed, but the property has not really been updated adequately and the amenities - bedding, towels, toiletries etc. - are second rate. Otherwise, a nice enough place to stay.

The owners were very accommodating and the homemade breakfast in the morning is the best comfort. The outdoor fire pit is very relaxing, just an overall great experience!

This is not a top of the line facility as it is a two hundred some odd year old house, but that said, if that's what you're looking for, this is it. Wonderful place, full of character, charming, great landscaping, and great location. The caretakers are delightful, attentive, and provide a wonderful breakfast each day. You will feel welcomed and cared for here.

It was a very short visit, wish I could have stayed longer. Lovely, comfortable room, and I was treated to a breakfast-to-go, since I had a very early flight and couldn’t stay for a proper breakfast. Highly recommend, and I would love to stay longer next time. Thank you so much.

The home was built in 1764 and still has the wide knotty pine flooring and low ceilings - a real treat if you like old homes! The owner was gracious and helpful and the breakfast was amazing! Pastry wrapped in bacon - wonderful treat. The room was comfortable and well kept - complete with the original fireplace. A great place to unwind after a long day on the trails. Will keep it in list of places to return to.

Wonderfully friendly host and amazing food. This is the best breakfast I have had (sausage, homemade spice cake, fruit, coffee and a wonderful egg custard dish made with phyllo). Loved our room (comfy bed at front of Inn). We enjoyed the main room and afternoon coffee and tea and used the wi-fi to do unexpected work. We got great recommendations for dinner from David which we enjoyed. This was convenient for our first ski trip ever to Loon about 20 mins away.

The host were wonderful. They helped with dinner recommendations. When they saw us wearing masks we’re willing to do the same. Their breakfasts were incredible!

We stayed at The Colonel Spencer in for Parents' Weekend at Plymouth State. David could not have been more welcoming! He offered great advice about places to dine in the area. The property is beautifully maintained and the breakfast is wonderful. They are very willing to accommodate dietary restrictions. We will certainly to visit!

It is always delightful to stay at the Colonel Spencer Inn! David and Trevin are so welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts and snacks are amazing and served up in a comfortable, homey atmosphere. They also give wonderful recommendations to area restaurants businesses. I have always had a great experience and will stay there anytime I'm in the area.

My experience at Colonel Spencer Inn was fabulous. This was the first time I have taken a hiking trip on my own. When I arrived at the Manchester airport in the evening, I received a call from David checking in with me. This was such a nice gesture as he put my mind at ease. Once I arrived, David met me at my car and helped me upstairs with my luggage. Then he gave me a tour around the Inn and offered me homemade cookies and fruit.
The breakfast each day I was there was phenomenal! I missed the breakfast as soon as I left. David gave me fantastic dinner options nearby and helped me find the hiking trails to take.
Overall, my experience was perfect and I am excited to go back again!

Everything was beyond awesome! I feel lucky that we got to stay here. The hosts are super kind and accommodating, the Inn is historic and the hosts are knowledgeable, the food was outstanding, the rooms are very comfortable, parking and check-in was simple, the area is beautiful and quiet, the patio was very inviting, and even the towels were soft and thick! It was the best of everything. We will be back!
