The room was amazing. The restaurant was good for breakfast. The amenities are really good. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The Pilates instructor was good. Service was impeccable. Unfortunately, there was a very strong smell in the room (humidity/mod). It made it very difficult to sleep at night as the smell becomes stronger. If you are sensitive to smell I would be careful with this place. Otherwise it was great.

Wish I had read the reviews before we booked! Here we are looking at a wall, no view at all. The cleaning and restaurant staff are fabulous, very nice to deal with and helpful. Breakfast has been beautiful each morning and we have enjoyed the pool. So there are some positives just a real shame about the room situation, it’s been very poorly designed.

We've stayed at Como Canggu before as well as Ubud & Maldives. Como Canggu presents as a 5 star but boy there is lots of room for improvement. We checked in at 3am after a very long flight delay, and paid for the day before. Walked in and had to walk straight out due to the strong odour of mould. Wowee. Another room organised within 30 mins. Como Beach Club was full of screaming unsupervised children. Twas crazy! Spoke to staff and they advised that the parents were in the restaurant having lunch. Yikes! There really should be a separate area for families. A Beach Club is to be enjoyed for a quiet swim or a cocktail by the pool, reading a book, not screaming children. Never again! I didn’t pay $1100 per night to go to Como Beach Club and experience that. Another guest got involved but it was a ridiculous situation 🙄. The staff are the best asset of the hotel. Cannot fault anyone. From Reception, to Restaurants, to Gym, to Housekeeping and Gardeners ... every single one has a beautiful smile and a greeting to you. They really do make the resort. The rooms are going to need an update soon. Some lights didn’t work but they were replaced within 24hrs though. The location on the beach is phenomenal though. A+ for location. Would I return? For the pricing, no. Better value for us elsewhere.

It’s a great property in what is becoming an over run Canggu. The pool and beach are a great refuge. The breakfast, lunch and menu are well priced and the food great. Gym is great, the coffee too! The hotel does have a musty/mold smell and we had the change rooms a few times. If you’re sensitive to mold… you should know.

Thank you to the team from arrive through to check out you looked after us and the service was top class and impeccable. You waited on us after our flight was delayed and gave us the ability to order so there would be food in our room. The spa staff were suberb and wonderful and looked after us, the team at the pool and beach club extremely friendly and professional and also housekeeping was always friendly, helpful and professional. Security and front desk staff always polite and friendly. Cannot wait to come back

My wife and I stayed at Como uma for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. The staff were very friendly and attentive . The beach club was awesome to overlooking the surf beach. Easy walk to rent a board or take your own. Definitely coming back and will be recommending to all our friends and family who want to visit Canggu.

A amazing resort with a large lagoon pool and delicate sunbeds. Pool boy always on alert and service minded. Great Residence with view and comfort over our exepectations. Comfort in all corners of the room. I wish the hotel improved the environmental recycling from guests - Bali is struggeling and tourist is the main source for waste on a resort. Clean the pool area every evening - and the pool (not in the morning when we want to swim). There are only 1 restaurant - the Beach Club - it gets boring not to be able to choose from different menus spending days at the resort.

Wonderful service. I was impressed by personable the staff are. The hotel itself was very well maintained. The one bedroom residence was very comfortable. I enjoyed a 60 minute complimentary treatment at the Como Shambhala Spa with a very skilled therapist. All in all an excellent stay with a focus on wellness.

Widi was super helpful and friendly from check in till helping me during my stay till checking out. I got Upgraded with my Expedia status to a 1 bedroom residence which was v lovely and the complimentary 1 hour massage was fantastic. My friends stayed in the 2 bedroom with private pool. The finishing were abit tacky and less appealing with a very short morning sun on their private pool area, the rest of the day it was just too cold to take a swim there. One other thing was their corridors were a pretty dark at night.. might be better with a little more illumination please.

We loved staying at the Como Uma Canggu. The staff were exceptional and so accommodating with me as I was on crutches for the entire trip! No task was too great and we were driven from room > pool > reception at our request. We were greeted by our names and met with a smile and service wherever we went. We booked two nights at the start of our trip and ended up booking our last night in Bali back at the Como because of the great experience we had. Rooms were super comfortable and the vibe of the hotel was awesome.

Como UMA definitely didn't feel like a 5 star hotel. The cleanliness and service (or lack thereof) left us feeling like we wished we'd booked elsewhere, with the service from one front desk member in particular rude and unhelpful. To start, we arrived at 2.45pm for a 2pm checkin. The room wasn't ready and we had to wait in the lobby until it was ready at 3pm. While being taken to the room, the front desk person who showed us to our room spent the entire time telling us about how we'd been upgraded, while neglecting to mention where the pool, breakfast, beach club, gym, etc., were. Upon walking into the room, we could see the upgraded room overlooked a construction site and rubbish-strewn river next door. The room wasn't soundproof from outdoors, which was annoying given there is a beach club on the property. The room hadn't been cleaned properly, with used tea bags in the kitchen, and marks on the tiled floor suggesting it hadn't been mopped. The shower smelt awful, and one of the taps was leaking. At some point during our stay, a rodent nibbed through the packaging of the mini bar snacks on the kitchen bench. We tried to book into the complimentary yoga class, however there is only one per day with a maximum of 8 people. Not sure how they thought that was going to work for a hotel. Service at breakfast was ok. The only highlight was the spa therapist (Ayu) who was amazing. We clearly would not stay here again.
