Great location particularly for the Guggenheim Museum and within walking distance to the old city and all other attractions. Basic, clean comfortable room.

We booked two rooms (for two nights) many weeks in advance but were given probably the worst/smallest two rooms one of which did not even have a window! Considering that we paid at least three times more than the hotel's listed price we feel we were short-changed either by Hotels.com or the hotel itself or both! The rooms were tiny, no space for the luggage. Cheapest and the lousiest amenities and a stinking bathroom -almost next to our bed! To be fair they replaced the room without a window on the second day. The only positive thing about this place was its location.

Incredible location. 5 minute walk to metro, 5 minutes to Guggenheim. With the location I was able to travel to Guernica, the coast and all over town through metro and trains.
The entrance from the street requires a code to unlock a gate - it is always closed at night but I found sometimes during the day it was closed.

The Check in Information that the reception is open to 22:30 and you have contact the Hotel before you arrive for an access code and the room no. I write lots of mails and got no answer. I called them and the told me, the reception is open. Later i got a answer when i was on the flight.

Overpriced. Room 9 small, sad, uncomfortable, interior. Same price (85) you can stay in a much better hotel in the same area. You should not be paying more than 50 euros max for that tiny gloomy room without even a desk to put your laptop and work, or put your luggage without tripping on it. Avoid it.

very loud, the walls are paper thin and you hear the receptionist yelling, the guests coughing in their rooms, grossly clearing their throats, going to the bathroom etc

Good location. Very bad WiFi connection in our room. The water in the bathroom sink drains very slowly.

I stayed with my 10-year-old son at Bilbao City Room for a two-night stay in the city. It was a perfect location to visit the Guggenheim Museum (walking distance). It is also a walking distance from the train station. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but if you tend to suffer from the heat, note that there is no air conditioning in the room. Ours had a ceiling fan and the window opened on a quiet courtyard. If you're looking for a good restaurant nearby and feel for Mexican food, try the Chilango.

Our concierge when we arrived was a great help in pointing out places to visit in the city. His recommendations became our itinerary for the visit!! He was very knowledgeable about the several buildings by world famous architects that have been built in Bilbao. The Guggenheim is just but one of many! One of the more interesting was the adaptive reuse of the Alhondiga by Phillipe Stark, but you have Calatrava, Ando, Moneo, Silva, so many more! Thank you so much to our first concierge at Bilbao City Rooms!

This hotel is right on the Main river and right next to a lock where ships navigate past a dam. You can watch big tankers and small boats raise and lower as they pass by. There is a walkway across the dam and you can visit a village on the opposite bank. Ice cream shop over there, but we didn't have time for that. Also the hotel fronts onto a riverside bike path and you see cyclists passing by. Check with the hotel - it looks like you might be able to get a bike. Also, the brew pub is great and has really nice food. It's about 30 Euros and 15 minutes from the airport, and worth it for the peace and quiet. We stayed one night each way on our trip, and loved it!

Locks on doors, no a/c

Central location good but hard to find. Hotel rang me, which helped as they were able to direct me. Small room with tiny windows with no view.

Very nice for a one-night stay to be close to the Guggenheim. Friendly and helpful staff. The only minus - in summer - is that there is no A/C. We were there in late June and it was OK, but I would want to be there in midsummer!

Mostly good, except that the shower was too small and that we had to keep the entry key card in the door slot in order to keep the light on.

Staff was extremely friendly , rooms were big updated clean quiet and modern ! Great location a few blocks from the Guggenheim with a ton of restaurant choice right outside the door! I would definitely stay here again! Highly recommended

This was a great location for assess to the central train station, the bus stop to the airport, the big museums and local shops. The room was big and comfortable. The fridge and kettle a happy bonus. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

The saving graces for BC Rooms are the location (only 5 mins walk from the Guggenheim museum) and somewhat friendly staff. But this is when it stops. We had a very damp smelling room. After notifying staff we got new sheets (as the smell emitted from the beds) and an air-freshener!!! Which helped for about a day but the smells came back. All hotels were booked during our stay, so we had no other option but stay. As mentioned by other reviewers the 'hotel' must have been a former hostel with all its downsides still present - the walls and doors are thin, you hear the neighbours, equipment is the bare minimum, very small rooms, no aircon just a very loosely rotating fan. Conclusion: this might be an option for an emergency stay for a night, but I'd be looking for another place to stay in Bilbao.

No conditioning air and the temperature in the room was insane. We found an insect in the room.

Arrived slightly after 1030 staff was not there hence couldn’t receive my room key of my paid reservation. I called and emailed several times and was never replied to. Had to find another hotel 1045 pm that same evening

The rooms are very small, barely enough room to put your suitcases on the floor. The bathroom is literally 2 feet from the bed, too close for comfort. The walls are very thin, we could hear everything in the halls. Found that the bathroom cups they provided were not clean, could see that the cup was used and just wrapped again in plastic to look clean. Our bathroom had a sewer smell which we reported but nothing was done about it.
On the plus side, it is in a good location to walk to the Guggenheim and old town. Bus stop from the airport is 2 blocks away too. They have reception staffed 24 hours.

Muy céntrico; habitaciones simples pero con muy buen estilo; los empleados super serviciales y amables. Regresaría sin dudarlo.

There was nothing terrible or great about my experience here. Very very small room for the price, one single uncomfortable but still sleepable bed. Power to anything in the room requires the key to be inserted into a socket on the wall which may be common in Europe but I have never seen. Overall okay experience but would not go again.

Clean room and great area and location. However, no AC, and one could hear every single sound from the street. Wifi did not work well inside the room.

관광을 위한 최고의 위치이면서 방도 아주 깨끗하고 좋았습니다. 미술관이 바로 옆에 있고 주변에 식당도 많이 있습니다. 우리 부부에게 최고의 선택이었습니다.

The best feature that this little hotel has is the fact that the owner is there to greet you once you come in! Iñigo is a character that exemplifies the welcoming vibe of the people of the Basque territory and specifically, the Bilbaoans. The hotel is far from luxurious but the price is perfect for its functionality. The location is also optimal, so I can definitely recommend it. Would stay there again.

This room maintained the quiet and solitude of the Camino De Norte. The location was ideal for great eats.

The staff were friendly and warm. The location is great! However, a notable downside is the noise level. You can very clearly hear the conversations from the reception in your room, and I assume vice versa.
