We had a quick getaway and booked this place because it was a convenient location. It is quaint and was a nicer version of “ The Rosebud Motel” in Schitts Creek LOL
We would stay here again. Restaurants are close and walkable, area is safe and nice. Front desk staff was very nice

I stay there Alot and Everytime we have to plug up bathtub with a sock ...the hot water is on cold side and vice versa. This stay was disappointing..the bed was very uncomfortable, bathroom was dirty ,room very dusty .

My sister and I traveled to Maine for a weekend of shopping. Room was overall fine .No soap and not enough towels.Bathroom was very dated.Could use a refresher....

Not the room i had paid for. Room bathroom much smaller than shown in my reservation. My bf is blind and we needed more space so he couldn't trip on anything especially in the bathroom. Kept feeling fleas jump on me and had a few bites. Not worth what i paid for the rooms.

Stayed here because my husband had been here before and raved about this clean simple hotel.
Given room #162 in the rear building. Doors and walls dirty. 3 inch smear on wall near dresser looked like dried blood, feces, or chocolate?!?
Hair on bathroom floor. Shower valve was broken and would only put out slightly like warm water.
Breakfast was good.

My wife and needed a room for one night at 11PM. The room was very small but that’s fine for a night. The free breakfast buffet surprised me with the selections. Only a toaster and waffle iron for hot foods. Reasonable rates, good parking that’s free and a nice breakfast.

We stayed for a night and the room was decent for the price. Checked in around 9 pm October 19th and we were allotted a room in the other suite behind. Parking was available in front of the suite. It had two floors and we were given a room on the first floor.
The complimentary breakfast was awesome.
Only thing was the bathroom floor was slippery and the coffee maker was not clean and it was in an inoperable condition.

Our stay was very good it served a purpose perfectly well, staff in reception were excellent. The only criticism would be that the bathroom could be so much better with an upgrade.

Missed our flight and had to stay overnight unexpectedly. Typically motor inn. Noticed a red stain on the floor by the fridge. Front desk people very nice as was the woman in charge of the breakfast area.

Older property so bathroom and shower walls in particular show age but everything is clean, bed comfortable. I like having entrance either from inner hallway or outside parking lot into room(2 doors).

When we walked in room smelled of pee. Told them and nothing was done. The room was hot and they said they would send someone down. No one showed up. Room just didn’t feel clean and said that their best housekeeper would come. Came and only took trash. Nothing else done

The breakfast was good, and the lady at the front desk was extremely helpful, but the room was pretty horrible. It looks like it was built about 50 years ago and has not been maintained at all. My wife didn't even want to take a bath because the grout was black. There was no heat, but the front desk lady have us a space heater and an extra blanket, which solved the problem.

This is my second stay at Vacationland, Brewer ME in 7yrs-- it has definitely changed along with my experience. Breakfast is very good, limited I felt, but good. Location is convenient, centrally located and I felt safe walking around after dark.
It is in need of fresh paint, what look to be minor repairs / updates throughout and cob webs swept down in the halls / room.
Our stay was Mon - Sat: after checking in, I requested the floor be swept & mopped, it felt gritty and was visibly dirty. By checkout on Sat, no one had addressed it. Fresh towels were replenished once all week, in room coffee was replenished once all week and the beds were never made all week. At one point on day 3, while we were out, the shower curtain rod fell down - we put it back up ourselves since it already appeared the room wasn't receiving service.
I believe this may be a partially 'resident' hotel based on a conversation with a few others in drive up rooms.

It was the worst place we have ever stayed and it was the most affordable hotel at $166 per night. It was our mistake to come to Maine peak leaf season I guess because all the places that were habitable were over $250 per night. But this place was disgusting. I think I got a foot fungus when I got up at night to use the bathroom and forgot to put in my shoes. The bathroom was filthy and badly done. There was no hot water the last day of our stay. There was no phone in the room so I had to call from my cell and she told me to let it run for 20 min. I did and after 35 min it got room temperature. I complained and she said it because everyone is showy at a the same time!! I was like it’s a hotel of course they are why are we all on the same hot water heater?!? There was a random cord on the filthy floor that we kept tripping on and there was a metal wall under the bed sticking out we kept kicking and stubbing our toes. If you stay bring your own bedding and shower shoes. The dresser was dirty too inside the drawers and outside it looked like someone spilled something and the room smelled like soured milk. It was terrible. And now I remember why I stopped using hotels.com for so long this place should be condemned not a 3.5 star rating that hotels.com have it as!!!

The room we had did not look like the picture. There were no chairs and the repairs were done poorly you could see where a repair was made on the wall in the bathroom the hole was fixed with cement in the middle of the tiles. It looked like they were having trouble keeping the lights on. Threre were signs at breakfast asking you not to remove food and only take one of anitem

I was happy to be upgraded to a another room because of maintenance issues, however, the room I was upgraded from had two double beds and the room I was upgraded to had one king size bed, and a very large Jacuzzi in the room. That would’ve been all nice if I hadn’t been staying with just my daughter and myself, there was a pullout couch of some sort and my daughter chose to sleep on that but when we opened up the couch, there was crumbs all in between the cushions. They didn’t have any extra blankets. There were extension cords plugged into the wall for the microwave TV and mini refrigerator, As a firefighters wife, it was a little unsettling. When we woke up the first morning, to leave there was trash thrown all over my car and come to find out there was an underage party that had happened right where my car was parked. Thinking we won’t book again 😞

It didnt start out great but we got an up grade in our room and it was very comfortable. Breakfast was great and all staff was very helpful. Particularly Eva, the manager that found a room for us that was suitable for our need.

The room had an odd smell but was comfortable. No housekeeping which we where not told. Breakfast was good. Perfect location for shopping and dining.

Room had not been correctly cleaned in a long time. Dead dried bugs in the drawers, roach egg sack, live roach running around the bathroom at night, door to the outside of the room looked as if someone kicked it in and it was barely repaired, and hot water was 50/50 if you got any.

What a little gem of a spot. We were 3 Canadian ladies staying there for a concert and was pleasantly surprised with the experience. It's an old school motel so expect the basics but the customer service more than makes up for that. Rooms were clean, continental breakfast was awesome and the added bonus of a shuttle to to and from the concert. I would stay there again and would suggest it to others.

The room looked clean, however, i moved the pillow and there was what im pretty sure was a roach. We only saw the one bug but it wasn't a good thing. The property could use some updating as well. The staff are very nice, and the breakfast was good.

Cute and decent prices, just a bit outdated and run down in some areas. Staff was very friendly. They did offer shuttle to and from the Maine savings amphitheater for concerts

Very friendly and caring staff. Free breakfast included and the public bus stops right there and it is close to restaurants especially coach house which is right next door. Easy walking to hannaford, dunkin donuts, and other stores like wallgreens, the dollar tree, etc. The only motel in brewer i trust!

Pretty outdated.. the room we were in had seen better days, specially the bathroom. However, the beds & room were clean, the price was very reasonable, staff was nice, breakfast was very good and free (loved the waffle maker) and the location is pretty close to the city. Overall, we were happy with what we got for the price.

Our stay was very nice, it is an older place but very cozy. The room was nice, clean, fresh bedding and everything worked. The only thing I had issues with was the air conditioner. The functioning buttons had faded and it took a while to figure out how It worked. I suggest you put a few labels so guest can operate it. We had a great breakfast, fresh coffee and great options to choose from. The waffles were delicious and they offer various fruit toppings. The staff were very nice and helpful, too.

We repeatedly asked for side by side rooms and were told there were none available and yet the room beside us was empty . When I asked in the morning they said it was a lesser class of a room with double beds instead of queen. We gladly would have downgraded if they had offered us that option.

We really liked staying here! great value. The newer remodeled rooms are beautiful! only complaint was the pillows, they were not good! Will bring our own next time. other than that everything was great!
