Really liked the pods for comfort and privacy. It felt much more secure than typical bunk bed hostels.
5.0 / 10.0
The pods are comfortable, other guests are quiet, the location is outstanding. Conveniently on a bus line and right next door yo a Green Line station.

Less than desired. Completely unresponsive to emails before arrival. The room was SO hot. Would never stay here again.

It was my first time in a capsule hostel and I enjoyed my stay. Capsules are partially closed with a roller blind but you still have a lot of privacy inside your pod. Pods are comfortable enough and are equipped with a reading light. I was lucky and nobody snore so the room was very quiet. It is a convenient option to sleep in DC if you are traveling alone for a few days and don't mind spending time in a ~2x1x1m pod. Restrooms and showers were clean and staff was friendly.

I always love staying at this hostel. It’s my second time, but it’s always clean, check in and out is easy, and staff are always more than willing to help you out if you’re confused or in a rush.

Super clean and lovely property. Has everything you will need at a hostel and the pods allow for great privacy

Great area, close to nightlife, food, and transit. Capsules are spacious, private, and comfortable. Would highly recommend for the solo traveler.

Staff were extremely nice and hosted multiple events for guests. I was there for the free beer night and hostel birthday which was a blast. I slept in the 14 person capsule room and had no issues. The locker that is provided worked perfectly and showers were fine.

I loved it. This is my first time staying in a hotel. I'm usually concerned about privacy but I loved this. The pods were very private and large enough. I could actually get dressed in there and there's a mirror with LED lights so I could do my hair and makeup too. It was also pretty quiet in the rooms and there are lockers. Only con is the charging situation.. there's only one USB and one USBc. So bring your portable charger. It wasn't crowded at all and it was clean. I would recommend for a quick stay especially if you only need a place to sleep and get ready.

The staff are so unfriendly. You feel like everybody is part of a clique and that you are an outsider. If i was a regular here i am sure i would have known the ropes a bit more. But dor a first timer this was no pleasant.

Anyway, the location is good and the water facilities are well equipped. Sometimes you may be guided to a broken capsule.

I was a little nervous staying at a hostel, but I absolutely loved it! The staff was so incredibly friendly and they really made you feel welcomed. The pods were actually really comfortable too, I had no problem falling asleep each night! I actually found myself coming back early just to relax in my pod :)

I think this is brilliant idea and will be adopted in the future as practical option for hospitality. If you are single and would like value for money for a business trip in DC. This will be a wonderful option.

You have to do self check-in according to an email you would get, but I haven't get any email until the day of check-in. You would have no phone number, any line to contact them. What I could do was waiting in front of the main gate until someone opened the door for me. I barely entered there, and the front person said my email might be wrong or hotels.com had a problem, never said their system is wrong. She said I would get an info for opening gate sometime soon so I believed her and left, but it didn't arrive again, so I had to wait in rain AGAIN until someone opened the door for me. I got in anyway, the capsule was dirty, there was no 110V inlet, and all the spaceship-themed panels, digital clock were just FAKE, printed paper lol. More annoying thing was I finally got that email for checking-in at 10 PM. Would never go back again.

If you know what to expect and plan ahead, hostels can be perfect. It was my first time in a capsule hotel, but I’ve stayed in hostels around the world many times. The location of this one is fantastic. There are so many restaurants, cafés, and grocery stores within a short walk. There’s a metro stop on the same corner, and it’s easy to find electric scooters and bikes for rent just outside the door. I actually had one busy day where I walked all the way to the Holocaust Museum, and it was a beautiful walk. It’s far so know that in advance. There was plenty of nightlife, although I didn’t partake in any of that. I was in town for a conference, which was 1 mile away, and pride, which was one block over. It was awesome to see so many homes and businesses decorated! The staff were awesome and I actually made friends with one of them! I was there for a full week so it was easy to do. The capsules themselves were much roomier than I expected them to be, probably 4‘ x 4‘ x 7‘. And once I got the hang of the plugs, I was able to charge my devices easily. The bathrooms on the third floor were always clean and available when I needed one, as were the showers. I always managed to get the accessible shower , so I had plenty of room for my clothes and whatnot. The shower Water pressure was amazing. Far better than my one at home! The mattress and linens were fabulous and very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was fast and I never had trouble connecting. Highly recommended!

If you are up for a hostel experience, this is a sweet place to stay and sleep in a cubicle.
The showers in the basement are as good as any health club for privacy.
I love the simplicity of staying here.

This was my first experience sleeping in a pod and it was very comfortable. The mattress and pillow provided were good quality with a lot of support. The Goki keyless system was handy and easy to use. I especially liked the location , there was a Metro and bus stop around the corner. The staff was friendly and helpful. Additional lighting at the communal sinks on the floor would be a big help. The showers had good water pressure. A fresh paint job would make the place shine. I'd stay there again.

For a capsule hotel on U Street, this can't be beat! I will definitely stay here again despite the locale which, while it has many charms, is a bit sketch around midnight. Really clear check in, very clean pods which were surprisingly quiet and comfortable inside, and no line for the bathroom at 4am.

Hidden chargers - I thought it was just a mistake however came to find out while sitting on the lobby that they wanted to charge extra to other guests too - also the accuracy on the information is misleading.
