Riad Assia is in a perfect location. It's easy to find, quiet, yet deep in the medina and a short, direct walk to the square. The roof terrace is lovely. The breakfasts are delicious and filling. They packed a filling breakfast on the day we left early. The room was small, but fine for two of us. We will definitely stsy again.

This riad is ideally located to walk to any of the attractions in Marrakesh yet nice and quiet. The reception staff were helpful and the ladies who made breakfast were friendly. Room was a little dated but comfortable.

On google maps, there us Hotel Riad Assia and Riad Assia. You want Riad Assia, 50m away from the Jamaa el Fna. We searched for an hour to find it, as we went to Hotel Riad Assia. At 11pm, in a Very shady neighborhood with weird people who constantly ask to help you, but you know that they just look for money and not sure to bring you where you are going.Once we told the "reception" about this, he said that it's our problem that we couldn't it.Area is very shady.Room much smaller than photo. Beds uncomfortable and squeaky even when you breathe.Water in faucet has a note "not drinking water".Very noisy area till 1am.Smoke smell from downstairs, and we were on 3rd floor.None of this was in the description. We travelled to a few cities in Morocco, this was the worst place we stayed in. And we are really not picky witj our accommodation.Look elsewhere, or you will be disappointed.

After spending a lovely month in Morocco, my last two nights were spoiled by this disappointing riad. The breakfast was by far the worst and the eating area very dirty. There are signs prohibiting the consumption of alcohol in the hotel but then staff do nothing when guests are drinking and doing drugs between 3 to 6AM and keeping the entire hotel awake. The front desk staff couldn't figure out my reservation even though I asked them twice about it before checking. Honestly, this hotel certainly doesn't deserve to be in the Lonely Planet as there are much nicer riads in Marrakech for a similar price.

Great Riad, central location with a short walking distance to Jamma El Fna Square. Well worth a stay with very helpful and friendly staff.
