Amazing experience. Onsen inside the hotel with tracker on their tv screens to see when empty or busy. Breakfast is fantastic too. Definitely coming back

I have stayed in other Mitsui Garden hotels in Japan and have been very pleased with their quality. The room was fine and what I have come to expect from Mitsui Garden. Their unique selling point is the bath on the top floor which was lovely. On the top floor there is also a laundry room. Unfortunately (and it's not the first time I run into this issue in a Japanese hotel) the room has zero ventilation which means that the clothes wont dry. I ran two extra 30 minute drying programs per load, extending the laundry time by another hour (luckily no one else was waiting to use the machines), but still the clothes weren't completely dry in the end. The location is good for tourist excursions to the castle and Kenrokuen gardens. There are poorly marked bus stops in the vicinity of the hotel, and the bus schedule is downright confusing. If I come to Kanazawa again I'd probably choose a hotel closer to the station, but that has nothing to do with the quality of Mitsui Garden.

Very nice hotel with a clean, comfortable and spacious room with two comfortable beds. The hotel was located about a 20 minute walk to the train station with stops near the entrance. The Japanese bath was fantastic after walking around all day.

I loved the public bath facility on the top floor of the hotel. It was very clean and the view was spectacular. Especially with the calming music-- I felt like I was at a spa. Good food selections at breakfast-- I prefer washoku over western meals so having the Japanese food option was a big plus.

We came here 5 years ago and came back. I believe the hotel is 6 years old. Immaculate! Neat, clean, nicely decorated, quiet. AC or heat responds in a snap, which makes the room very comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Lots of electrical outlets. Blackout curtains. Comfortable beds and pillows. Rooms on small side vs US hotels. The breakfast buffet is incredible. Beyond the croissant, yogurt, and cereal is a selection of Japanese items that you must try. For example there is a mochi rice ball, with sweet red bean filling that is coated in kinako, a roasted sweetened ground soy bean. Very traditional Japanese that you will love. The other Japanese selections are to die for. Maybe 25 different things that you eat with rice. Once you try it you’ll forget the fruit and toast. I would expect to pay twice as much for my room and breakfast. Enjoyed out stay here so much I booked a sister Mitsui Garden hotel in Tokyo and cancelled my other reservation. We had a great 2 night stay. The hotel was very nice - lobby area was very luxurious and welcoming. The room was comfortable, spacious, and quiet. Location was good for walking to most things (we don’t mind walking), with food and drinks nearby and plenty of 247 convenience stores. In room safe was a bit too small, but that’s the only thing I can think of that could be improved. We had a great stay and would be happy to return.

Lobby and exterior looks nice but felt it was a bit overpriced for the size of the room. Onsen was smaller (and views were not that great) compared to what the pictures show. Parking was also not straightforward.

Only a few minutes walk to Oumicho-Ichiba. Convenience store close by, and bus stop from Kanazawa station and to Kenroku-en areas. Can walk from Kanazawa-Station if you want (15-20min. walk so not too tough if it wasn't in mid-summer) Didn't use the restaurant but the public bath was very nice.

Stayed three nights. Very clean and comfortable. Public spa is very nice with great view. Good access to Kanazawa Castle site and Genrokuen. Breakfast is full with delicious local cusines. Hard to find negative feedback. I will definitely come back to this hotel.

The breakfast buffet is amazing-so many choices especially for a delicious traditional Japanese breakfast, but there are also Western food choices too. I think it’s a bit noisy so not much soundproofing. Especially noisy if you have a room towards the street as traffic at night can be a bother if you have a hard time falling asleep (particularly Friday and Saturday) but other than that a great stay 😊

This is a near perfect hotel to stay in while visiting Kanazawa as a tourist. The hotel - situated in the heart of the high end shopping district - is a short walk to the main fish market, the samurai district or a beautiful park entrance to Kanazawa Castle park. You can walk to the main historic district as well, but that is a 15-20 minute walk so the viability of that walk is up to you. There is a 24 hour convenience store across the street for last minute snacks. The hotel is very clean and modern, making it perfect for business travelers or couples, but there were also families here as well. The service is exactly what you’d expect from a Japanese business; everyone is friendly and helpful. They also spoke more than enough English if you need that.
