Absolutely lovely. Beautiful room, excellent location.

The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Very comfortable location - close to all local amenities; clean and stylish. To be recommended. Sara

Convenient location with rooms nicely appointed. However the single window is opaque and you cannot see out. The staff was courteous and very helpful.

Comfortable modern hotel with friendly service.

Really nice! We stayed in the room with the 2 bunkbeds, and it was a decent amount of space, clean, and functional.

Very modern, clean and comfortable hotel in a great location close to Kanazawa Castle and on a main shopping street. All staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Great room and facilities.

The KUMU share hotel is lovely. Our Japanese style room was huge. We happened to be staying here during the 1 Jan 2024 earthquake - the staff were so kind to us and helped to make sure we were safe and comfortable. Thanks for a memorable stay

Most beautiful hotel I’ve been in Japan.
We stayed in a superior traditional room and it was worth every cent - it was massive, with comfortable futons and a wonderful set of amenities.
Hotel breakfast and the staff were great.
The area is a little out of the old town, but all is reachable by walk. It’s pretty strategically positioned, between old town and Kanazawa station.
Would 100% stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kumu Kanazawa. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in the moderate room and it was spacious enough and comfortable. Bathroom was very clean. The breakfast was at a set time chosen by the customer, and alternated between 2 sets. Both were good and a satisfying way to start the day. The location is great, with easy access to buses, including the sightseeing bus that has stops right near the hotel. Would stay again.

Nice and clean room but bit dark. When you open a window for a view and it was view of the concrete wall

Party of three adults stayed for 1 night in June. Nice Japanese design hotel is located within walking distance from Japan Rail station (15-minute walk). The neighborhood offers plenty of restaurant alternatives. Room was very nice and offered enough space for 3 adults with backpacks. The common areas are outstanding (On floor small kitchen, rooftop terrace, and laundry).

The hotel was fresh and contemporary. The lounge and dining area was fashionable and the bedrooms were well laid out. However, the ladder to the bunks was almost vertical and dangerous for children to climb up and down (especially during the middle of the night). The common lounge in the entrance level was not allowed to be used by guests if they had their own food and drinks and we were told to leave, even though there wasn’t a single other person there. Unfortunately, there was no other comfortable lounge for us to sit and relax. The hotel provides ‘tea tables’ on a couple of levels but these are large tables with ridiculous half stools that are very uncomfortable, and in a very dark internal environment with no natural light. There was no comfortable space for guests to sit and relax with their own drink. These tea tables provided a hibachi stove but no cooking implements to use it. A rudimentary rooftop space with picnic tables was a welcome relief for an evening DIY meal but too hot and with no shade during the baking hot day. Overall, it was a pleasant and basic hotel for a couple of days, the staff were friendly and helpful, but this hotel wasn’t half as good as the Kyoto location which had a guest lounge.

Quiet location, friendly staff & clean room.

We love the repurposed office building and design. The only place for improvement is the rooms have small windows and traditional (hard) Japanese pillows.

since covid things have changed, i had stayed there 5 years ago and really liked it. this time not so much, you have to reserve breakfast ahead of time and selection is limited. there is no more maid service , only the third day of your stay

Laundry room only does cold wash, otherwise great. Comfy beds, clean rooms, walking distance to main attractions

Loved the ambiance of the whole hotel, it has this relaxing vibe to it. The room we booked its pretty compact; it is pretty small and with three people got a little tight. However it helps when the common area its just outside our room. We ducked out to get hot water and tea. Their green tea is a must try.

Super chic, cool looking hotel, but it’s not all style over substance! The room was super spacious, loved having the little tatami seating area! Lovely bathroom with shower and bath, good breakfast, lovely and helpful staff, and great location!

Great location with easy access to the main station and walking distance to the shopping areas and restaurants. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room were sparkling clean and well facilitated. And we loved the breakfast with lots of choices for vegetables. Definitely will visit again.

New. Modern stylish design. There are 2 Share Hotels in Kanazawa. This Kumu Share Hotel is 10 mins walk from Omniya fresh produce market. The Haachi Share Hotel is 5 mins walk from the Higa district (traditional Jap buildings). Walkable to train station but with luggage, the taxi fare of 1,000 yen is very reasonable.

Basic, clean hotel with excellent breakfast and helpful pleasant staff. The hotel is simple but in a great location and excellent value for money. The laundry facilities were very welcome!

The room design was something attracted me to choose this hotel. However it is very noisy, the sound from the traffic light, from those cars passing, really disturbing and cant sleep well at all. And the room seems not clean enough, actually no daily room clean up service, my girl sneezed a lot in the room.

we love this hotel, the room is beautiful and also big enough to open two suitcases at the same time. The staff are friendly too. Nothing to complain except the mini fridge in the room is not cold enough to store beer or ice cream.

Very good hotel in the center of Kanazawa. The hotel has an industrial/ loft style mixed with Japanese ryokan, all in all very nice.
There is a laundry room available and the room is comfortable.
The castle and park are at walking distance and in front there is a bus stop that will allow to easily explore the entire city

Very stylish rooms and tea rooms on a few floors. The hotel is conveniently located near the main sights of Kanazawa. However, traffic can be quite loud in rooms facing the main road.
