Definitely better than I was expecting. Excellent for the price. Clean and comfortable.

After reading the reviews I was dreading the stay and even took my own bedding and towels. But the hotel towels were new, fluffy white ones. The bedding was clean and had been ironed. The hotel is old but you can see that they are doing up the rooms in stages. The bathroom had new tiles and the shower was new. The walls and carpets were in need of renovation. But the stay for one night was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. It was value for money for what I paid.

Still some areas that are in need of renovation. There’s only one lift and it’s difficult to climb the narrow stairs to the top floors.

Handy room but scruffy place to store pensioners

The shower was powerful . Hired in entertainment was working hard for their pay.

No on-site parking. Strange aroma.

I booked at 2pm arrived at 530pm defo stay again for an impromptu get away

The staff were amazing polite kind and helpful

Place is a bit run down however for £30 a night it was clean tidy and wouldn’t have expected more

Comfortable and clean enough for short stay maximum 2 nights.

Good location Bath … fantastic water pressure had hot bath as quick as a shower!

Cold room overlooking huge skip in untidy back yard Heating never came on during our stay. Room had damp smell.

Not great.

It was located not far from Torquay centre.

The bathroom was tiny with a sliding door that hardly worked. The room was boiling hot and the fan full of dust so when it was put in the dust flew everywhere. The door had a gap between itself and the lock so when the hallway door opened/closed, our door would also make a bang.

Excellent value for money & great location.

Location was good. Room & bathroom was clean, beds comfortable with good mattress. Friendly staff.

Hotel was getting some refurbishment so did not get a chance to have breakfast which once finished I am sure will be very good as the breakfast room was huge & looked like there would be a good variety buffet style.

1 night stay at the Trecarn hotel!

Friendliness and can do attitude of the receptionist!

Booked through booking.Com only to be told by the hotel that there were no rooms available! They managed to fit us in to a small double room with no windows. It was less than ideal, but the hotel receptionist was very good and did her best!

Pleasantly surprised

Such good value for money was very surprised at how lovely the room was.

Couldn't make the checkout any later than 10am on a Sunday which is a bit severe. Would be good to pay a little extra and leave a little later.

Cheap and ok if you don’t expect much.

Location was fine. Didn’t have breakfast.

Paying for Wi-Fi was not expected and rate now. Not impressed. Pillow was thin and useless. Vent outside the room was loud and droning all night. Woke early and was unable to get back to sleep as a result.

WOULD HAVE BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE...

First of all when you booked ...selected room was with window and i made sure by requesting room in written with window which they accepted but afterwards called back close to check in time..not available window room ..but you would have cool air all the time..Room was like a jail no window, no exhuast...it was so underground that you need 5 to 7 mints to find out the way to come at the reception and worst part was cool air was turned off after 01.00am ...couldn't sleep at all...and instead of 10.00am checkout i made my self check out at 05.45am preferrred to leave early..Car park was listed at the property but it wasn't the case..i been told to park on the off street outside hotel

Had a nice stay

Location was excellent only a few minutes walk to babbacombe seafront and shops nearby and staff were friendly gave 100% and would help with anything you needed

Curtains hanging off and had a dirty kind of mold on the back of them and the wall above our bed had what looked like someone had thrown coffee at it but didn't hinder our stay at all.

Superb

Had a wonderful value for money stay. Wasn't expecting much after previous reviews but room was clean comfortable and toasty warm. Staff were fantastic really nice welcome. Great location. We would defo return x

Very bad experience

It was one of the worse experience I have ever had .no room service and staff must tell me this but they didn’t unfortunately and they just tried to be apologetic . I will never go back again 🤦‍♂️

Smells , mattress was very bad and no room service . You pay money and you have to sort yourself out .

Lovely exceeded our expectations

The staff were all amazing, all so friendly and couldnt do enough for us. The entertainment was lovely and we really enjoyed the singer after a long day of driving.

Bed could be a little comfier, bathroom a little fresher but nothing major.

Nikki is the reason I come back here time & time again.

they make me feel really special here - especially Nikki, what a credit to the company. she welcomes me on first name basis, even tho there are 60+ guests in the hotel, she takes the time to make me feel so welcome that I don’t want to stay anywhere else because of her.

sometimes the beds aren’t great, but if I go and find Nikki she sorts it out instantly.!!
