Very friendly and helpful staff, specially the lady behind the front desk… We actually came early morning thinking on leaving our luggage to go have breakfast planning on making time for the room to be ready but they actually gave us the courtesy to checking in as soon as we arrived to the hotel ( 10:00 am ) that for us was very nice specially after 6 hours flitting.
Very nice Hotel!!

Everything was great, except the WiFi did not work throughout our whole stay.
4.4
This is a great place to stay—clean, accessible, affordable, and in the heart of everything.
They should invest in additional WiFi routers so guests can use in their rooms.
Carlos was so helpful, nice, and attentive 🌟🌟🌟

The hotel looks great on the inside and very safe, the walls are very thin so there is so much noise throughout the night. It would be great is there was some shelving in the bathroom and room.

Great staff and good restaurants nearby. Bar in the front has great drinks.
4.4
It was close enough to everything but far enough to get some quiet sleep. The hotel is better in person than the pictures. Everything was clean daily. Would go back anytime stayed for 6 nights very reasonable

Basic. Clean. Close to the sights.

Great location as it was very close to the city center so restaurants, bars, stores were easily accessible. Rooms were great, along with staff, I only dinged the score a little as we were without water for a few hours.
Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel!

Great location, very clean.

Location, location, location. It is super close to everything you need or want to see in Oaxaca. The best restaurants/bars in Oaxaca are no more than a 5-20 minute walk.
4.4
Helpful staff always available - either in the courtyard or office. Drinking water cooler in the office.

Nice place.

We had a great time and experience here. The A/C works that was a must have and the water was warm. They have wifi which worked great and the tv can connect to your Netflix which was also great. The place is clean and very friendly, they allowed us to check-in early since we arrived sooner than expected. Centrally located we walked to a lot of place which saved us on taxis. There is a laundry about a block away which was great. We where there during the Festival which made it very busy in the city and they have a bar by the entrance which made it loud on a Saturday but I just turned the volume up on the tv and feel asleep. As a person traveling from Nebraska I would give this place five stars!

Cold showers and no chairs in room or patio. There is a dining type area as you enter but not really a lounging type area.

Everyone was super nice and it was a pleasant looking place and the rooms was modern with a comfortable bed and a nicely remodeled bath. The bath needed a shelf or two for toiletries because the raised sink makes it he’s to use what little there is of the vanity surface. The toilet lid did not open properly, and the shower would leak into the bath. The hot water takes forever to get there. You have to open the shower like a fire hydrant for three minutes before it gets there. But the pressure is so high that this DOES work. The towels are REALLY old and stained and used. But they are sanitary. Lots of lights in the room. Here are the things that are unacceptable. The curtain in the room needs to be lightproof because there is a lot of artificial light in the atrium that comes in. Also, you need to caulk the door jam and put some type of sweep on the bottom to block noise from the atrium. It isn’t the guests that make too much noise. It’s the guy who comes in at 5am banging and clanging whatever it is he is doing to prepare for the day. Also, why can’t the guests have a key to the gate so they don’t have to wait for someone at night after they ring a bell? I also didn’t like that I had to carry an actual key around. The doors were flimsy and not very secure and they had a keyed lock which is also easy to compromise. There is no other security on the door so female solo guests may feel less safe, although the hotel seems very secured. Well located in Centro.

Excellent location and service, easy to find the hotel and it’s actually top value for money. A special mention to Alma the manager, she is outstanding and very helpful. All the staff are very friendly. I would recommend this hotel for the stay in Oaxaca. I booked 3 nights and stayed 9.

Very clean and great location. Staff is also very friendly.

Excelente servicio del personal. espacio, limpieza excelentes. amenidades acordé a la relación costo-beneficio … céntrico a toda el area turística, súper recomendable !

Staff was excellent and very friendly
Gates locked at night with a watchman
Ductless mini-split AC worked but leaked a lot of condensation if left on continuously
Expedia said checkout time is 1pm but staff said it is 12pm FYI

Staff are friendly, helpful, and accomodating.
Noise travels within the accomodation. A dog was barking incessantly throughout one of the nughts and made it very difficult to sleep, even with my earplugs and ambiant noise.
Rooms are clean, comfortable, and fairly large. No issues with water pressure or temperature.
The only issue was that I couldnt connect to the wifi in my room so had to use the terrace or reception area.
Overall, great place to stay in a convenient location.

If you are looking for a place to crash for a few days this would work. No frills. A room with a bed and bathroom and a little closet space. The rooms are small. Good for one or 2 people max. Advertises AC but room 205’s did not work . Good price, fair location , clean room.
4.4
It was quite, small room but nice. The shower pressure was good but beware of floors getting wet. The bathroom but good.
The bed was decent. AC was great for the hot weather.
Felt safe as they shut the gate after hours.
Loved the outside seating area, balcony to see the street and night life outside. While viewing safely.
All in all nice and safe. Would stay again

This was a nice room and very convenient to the tourist area. It was relatively small so may not work for a longer trip where you need to spread out more. The wifi didn't work for us and we were in a service dead zone (T-Mobile), which was fine for overnight but might cause problems for others.

Excelente atencion y servicio!

Really good service from the staff, in the perfect center, everything near by

The staff were very friendly and helpful, walking distance to some of the historic sites in Oaxaca, comfortable beds, we had hot water at all times, the location is quiet and safe. Very clean and laundry service offered. They have cute tables in the court yard and an interesting art gallery. Enjoyed our 9 nights with no problems.

Small hotel, rooms are ok, with air conditioning. The shower was great. The staff is really hepful. Downside is the restaurant/cafe service is very limited there, although other options are close by.

La ubicación del hotel es muy buena y la zona muy cerca de Santo Domingo. El hotel parece renovado recientemente y el servicio y atención del personal muy bueno. Definitivamente volvería a hospedarme aquí!

We stayed at Hotel Casa Santo Tomas for 3 nights and it was the perfect place to stay for Oaxaca. The location is excellent (10min walk/5min drive to ADO Terminal, <10min walk to Zocalo) and the price is very affordable.
The rooms are quite large with a huge king-sized bed and good bathroom. A small note that the shower takes a long time (5mins+) to heat up but then it is great. Clean and modern - everything you need for a great stay.
The staff were also super helpful and accommodating - allowing us to checkout late, store our luggage and calling a taxi for us to get to the station when we left. 10/10, definitely recommended!

Very clean, and a great location.
Water from the shower flows and floods the bathroom.
Too minimalist.
No chair, table, or small refrigerator.

Hotel Casa Santo Tomas was great. The staff was really lovely and the hotel itself was very clean, simple, and extremely well located. The main issue was that is was rather echoey so whenever anyone did anything in the courtyard, everyone in the rooms would hear, which made it difficult to sleep when guests or staff started moving around in the early hours of the morning. Also, the water went out while we were there which was, of course, not great, but it was resolved and the staff provided any water necessary in the mean time. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone that is looking for a simple, clean and centrally located place to stay during your Oaxaca city adventure!

The location of this hotel on the map at Hotel.com is not accurate. It is a nice and new hotel at central location. Everything is fine except one thing which is the problem with shower. Water pressure was not good when I tried to take a warm shower (cold water was ok so maybe Mexican people prefer cold shower?!?). Following the morning when I tried to take a warm shower again, basically the pressure was worse and warm water was limited. If they can get this fixed then this hotel will be excellent for its price!!

This is a new hotel. Clean, but spartan room and furnishings. Room AC was good. Never saw any staff after check-in. The restaurant and bar were not open. One serious concern is that the stairs to the second floor, which are open to the weather, were terrible. Almost every step was a different height of 4" to 8". On a rainy night, my wife had a bad fall, which left a bruise.
