Comfortable and quiet stay in Oaxaca

Very comfortable king size bed and pillows. Friendly staff. Very clean property. Breakfast was average and only had it once at the hotel. They provide one pitcher of water daily which is nice but I wish they would provide more water. Lovely little terrace with table and umbrella where we sat to drink coffee. Good coffee packets provided. Dulce at the front desk was very helpful.

Only a few options to eat nearby however it’s only about 10 min walk to center. We had to purchase additional bottled water outside the hotel. Between needing it for coffee and drinking lots because weather was hot , it would have been nice if it was provided.

A wonderful experience!

The property was beautiful. Staff was warm, knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms with the outside patio were wonderful with very comfortable beds. Good location within walking distance of sights and restaurant. The tasty Mexican style breakfast was a morning treat. We can’t recommend it enough.

outstanding, modern, friendly

Outstanding. We (2 adults) had a suite with 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed & AC plus a well equipped kitchen with a microwave, coffee maker, kettle & hob (2 rings), kitchen island and x2 barstools plus 2 armchairs. Shower room. Modern design, good quality fittings, furnishings & finishes throughout. Outdoor terrace area with table & 4 chairs catches the evening sun (odd number rooms only). Very clean, hard to find any fault. Breakfast/coffee area equally good. Good quality simple breakfast menu inc cooked. Well designed central garden feature between the rooms. Dulce, the sales manager, was extremely helpful & friendly but so were all the staff. Dulce speaks excellent English & responds quickly to messages. About 10 minutes walk to the main square. Highly recommend it. .

Delightful stay! Oaxaca was exceptional!

This is a quiet smaller hotel with very nice large rooms. My room had a kitchenette, sitting area and nice outside patio. It was clean and very well kept. The service from all hotel staff was helpful and kind.

This hotel is a bit of a distance from most of the places I want to see. It usually was a 15 to 20 min walk one way. In the morning this was delightful but by the evening it often felt like a longer trek. This distance is what allowed the hotel to be so peaceful but also made it hard to pop out in the evening for a quick look around and then back up to the room.

Comfortable stay in well located hotel with great staff

Lovely hotel, well located near the centre (but far enough away it didn’t feel too touristy). The hotel staff were all lovely and incredibly helpful - thank you Dulce and everyone for a great stay.

Only thing I’d have preferred was a water filtration unit or water cooler in the room - we got through the jug of water pretty quickly each day! But that’s a small thing.

Loved my stay at Marialicia!

The room looked exactly the way as pictured. It was very spacious, clean and quiet. Check-in was a breeze. Dulce at the front desk was so sweet. Near lots of restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay here again.

There was only one splitter in one room, the other rooms were very hot, suggest maybe adding additional splitters to make the whole place comfortable.

Marialicia Suites is a quiet oasis to return to.

The manager, Dulce, greeted us warmly upon our arrival. She gave us many excellent restaurant recommendations. Her staff are hard working. Both the room and common areas always sparkled!! Breakfast was filled with choices of fresh and dried fruits, cereals, yogurt, eggs upon request and assorted coffees. Bring comfortable walking shoes as you'll love exploring the area. The staff will call a taxi or an airport ride when you need it.

Exceptional

We had the most amazing stay at Marialicia Suites! It was our first time in Oaxaca and I'm sure our entire experience would not have been the same without the exceptional recommendations, service and generosity of the staff. They were extremely friendly and accommodating and held our bags before and after check-in/out. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean. The courtyard is peaceful and calming while the suite was comfortable and fit our family perfectly. I highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay and appreciated the warm hospitality. Take your walking shoe though!

The staff is WONDERFUL. Incredibly kind and helpful for all needs. They really made the stay special. The rooms are very comfortable with descent beds and a kitchenette in each unit. The location is quite a walk from the center of things but that meant it was much quieter than hotels on the main drag.

The location is about 8-10 blocks from the main square -- this adds at least 15 minutes to your day in each direction and can feel very far at the end of a long day exploring. Water pressure when you want hot water is very low.
