Brilliant location on Eyre Square. Really clean modern rooms. Cheap parking with Q Park. Great breakfast too.

Lovely comfortable room, facing the christmas market which was nice. One drawback is npise but the room has ear plugs and your advised of noise upon check in. Car parking is in qpark and you pay €10 for 24hrs with a validated ticket from the hotel

Overall it was a good experience. Excellent location.

Great stay, great amenities, terrific staff!

Despite being in a busy section of Galway, the room was very quiet due to the double “city” windows. The room was large, the bed comfortable, the dining area luxurious and the staff very friendly.

Best hotel in Galway!

This place is ground-zero in the center of Galway. Parking is off-site, in your choice of huge city parking garages about 10 minutes away. The hotel is old, but has been renovated. We found the place a bit odd, and the parking issue was the last thing we needed being challenged by driving in Ireland in the first place. The big surprise - the hotel is next to probably the nicest and liveliest bar and restaurant in town. It is another operation of Skeffington, and we spent every night there - just a walk-thru from the hotel. Breakfast? Excellent. Staff very friendly and professional. Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Aran Island Ferry dock, which worked out great for us. Book your ferry ticket in an office about a block from the hotel.

Property was very conveniently located with short walk to the train as well as near many bars and restaurants. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and attentive. Had a great meal at the attached pub. We could hear some of the music from the pub but it was very muffled from where we were located and didn’t bother us at all. Would definitely stay again.

Very happy with property and location

This was our favorite motel while we were touring in Ireland. Still would’ve been nice to have some complimentary coffee during our visit other than that it was fine.

Nice hotel, centrally located for dining and entertainment. Liam, the hotel manager was especially helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff was excellent, professional, kind greeting, very informative by Niall!

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel, especially the staff! Niall was a gem in helping us out at every turn! We appreciated the heads up about how the connected bar may get a bit noisy at night, but all was good. Especially appreciated the extra security measures the hotel takes at night which made us feel very comfortable. The location is outstanding, perfect for walking to shops, restaurants and music! It was our final stay ending a 2 week vacation in Ireland beginning in Dublin, and I would highly recommend the Skeffington Hotel! Many thanks for a great stay! Joan and Jason

Very nice I really liked it

Our room (102) was right over the bar and it sounded like we were trying to sleep on the bar among the glasses :-)! We had to cut our stay down to one night due to lack of sleep. They should not rent that room on music nights but I am sure they make more money on the pub than the rooms !! Not sure how others felt but we saw a bunch of people moving out early the next morning.

Great restaurant and pub attached. Beautiful park out front door.

Great location. Beds comfortable. Really great service. 3 stars because there are incredibly thin walls. Heard the TV and a whole lot more (!) Next door. So bring some serious earplugs. Both of us slept with headphones on!

The front desk staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location was excellent with the train station nearby and a lot of shops and restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. Very convenient location.
My only issue was the exhaust fan in the washroom was a bit too loud for me whenever it was switched on.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Thank you.

I wish we would have booked for longer than one night! We loved the room as it was the most spacious, clean, fun, and well equipped of all of the hotels we booked for our two week Ireland adventure. Also, the staff was the most pleasant and friendly of all! The location couldn’t have been better as it is in the center of town. There is an attached restaurant/bar that can get loud but it didn’t bother us at all.

Very helpful receptionist assisted us in finding the hotel whilst we were negotiating the one way traffic system. Excellent breakfast and very clean and comfortable room.

Great place to stay. Park at the Q park for Eyre Sq around the block from the inn and make sure to get a discount with the front desk. Front desk and staff are extremely helpful. 5⭐️ location!

Room was good and the beds were comfortable. You could tell there were people outside on the sidewalk in the late evening but it was very muted. There was no evidence of noise from the 6 bars two floors below. Night light was a good touch.
Breakfast was OK, not amazing. We opted to go across the square to Esquire and that was the best of the coffee shops nearby. There must be 20 restaurants between the square and the river.

The staff were amazing! They went above and beyond to make my experience in Galway comfortable. The room was also spacious and well-maintained. I’d highly recommend staying here!

Too much noise after 11.30pm, really difficult to park near location. However conveniently located.

We loved the centrality of this hotel. It is close to the train station whicih helped us leave early for our itinerary. It's also close to a hostel where many bus trips leave from on the same block. I would say that if you're looking for a hotel with a built-in pub, this is the place. If you want a quieter hotel for sleeping and you're a light sleeper, maybe one on another street would be best. Overall I felt like this was a good choice for us. The staff was super helpful with any question, even researching and helping us print some train tickets we needed help with. Thank you to all!

Great little hotel in a perfect location, very walkable. Amazing service from the front desk staff.

The hotel is connected to the most beautiful pub I've ever been to. Located in the city centre of Galway.
This is also the only contra. It's quite busy and you'll need earplugs for a good sleep.
But then you'll have breakfast right in the beautiful pub itself.
Rooms are beautiful and very modern, far above Irish standards.
Service was also immaculate.

This was a great little hotel and centrally located. You do have to park at the mall down the road for 10 euro a night and the bar/restaurant is quite loud til two am which you can hear through the walls. We still got some good rest as the beds were cozy and they put a chocolate on our pillow. The lady at the front desk was always so nice and full of energy
3.0
Staff was so friendly and the hotel was close to everything. However, the driving disco beat permeates the place from 11:00-2:00am so if you’d like to sleep then forget it. After 2:00am when the pubs close all the drunk patrons come streaming back in. We stayed for two nights and were wrecked by lack is sleep. Huge disappointment overall.

A late bar with rooms above; noise from bar went late, LATE into the night. Should have guessed something was amiss when clerk offered me earplugs at check-in.
5.0
The room was nice and neat, a little dark with the dark painted wall and a small window, but the restaurant/bar makes up for every possible tiny thing you might be annoyed at. 10/10 for the connected restaurant and bar.

The Skeffington Arms is a great hotel for exploring Galway. Easy walks to the train station and ferry terminal, and at a great central location for shopping, food, and drinks. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the room was delightfully large.

The Skeffington Arms Hotel was a perfect choice! Great location, customer service, comfortable room and nice bar. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. Thank you very much!

Decor was very dark. Room was adjacent to a roof mounted extractor fan. Live music in bar below us.
