The Stardust is your basic motel. Nothing really remarkable one way or the other, and I would not dissuade anyone from staying there. I would recommend getting a unit near the office as the internet is much better (i.e., rooms 5 or 6): it was pretty anemic in room 2, so I would walk down towards the office when I needed a better connection. The cheapest place to get gas in town is next door to the Stardust. Pretty view from the porch.

Bed was comfortable, staff very nice. Hot water ran out in 4 minutes, cold shower. Towels are thin and small. Bathroom needs upgrade. Ok for one night but I wouldn't stay again.

A nice quaint little place
3.8
Much nicer than it looked from the outside. Good location and nice room
3.8
Very clean room. Friendly and professional manager. The motel is very dated.
3.8
Too bad that the toilet was really dirty...had not been cleaned in months as the outside was covered in urine and grim. Rest of room appeared clean. There are several other accommodations in this area and I recommend you book elsewhere.

Great hotel
3.8
Only good thing was the water pressure
Only one towel for each room

This is a basic no frills hotel. Has a sink/shower and tv and coffee. Lady at check in was pleasant and even offered me one of her own sodas(as there are no food or beverage options here). Convenient store 1/4 mile away. I slept well, good shower and coffee. If you want luxury look elsewhere but there’s nothing wrong with this place.

Easy check-in, beautiful views, comfy bed.

This is a road side motel type accommodation. Very basic and retro. I absolutely loved it. I hope they never change it. It was very clean with everything you needed for a quick stay while travelling the Alaska Highway. It is not on the same scale as a Hilton or Marriott, but I would stay here again if passing through. The view of the mountains outside the front window was breathless.
3.8
Beautiful view. When checking in, we had to call someone to come. My phone would not make the call. Luck for us, the phone of the person I was with worked.
3.8
Old tired furniture and old fixtures in the bathroom. Good internet and TV
3.8
This is a very basic property with few amenities. It's a welcome sight on the side of the road for a weary traveler ready to sleep for the night.
3.8
It’s an okay motel, but it had the most uncomfortable beds I have slept on in the last decade! I am thinking these are the original beds from the early 1900’s?! Probably time for an upgrade… also, but wifi went out on us all evening and into the next day which was not cool.
3.8
This motel is a 50s style and was situated across from some gorgeous mountains. The only issue was that we had some very loud neiighbors and they kept my husband up most of the night.
3.8
This small property was a quaint old place, but you get what you pay for. Internet did not work though TV was Ok. There was no hot water until way into the night. Staff told me to just wait for a while. Finally there was hot water. View was very nice from window.

Young lady at front office was fast and friendly

For the price it was fantastic. Room was spacious and clean. The lady (and her little boy) who checked us in was friendly. We only stayed for 8 hours as all we needed was a place to sleep so it was pertect for what we needed.

Shame on you Expedia. I’ll never use you again. This motel is dilapidated, had zero people staying there. Very seedy looking place. We stayed nearby. I’m shocked you would show a motel of this low caliber that looks deserted and out of some creepy movie. I demand a refund.

Property is an old motel with paper thin walls. The room is clean, the bathroom did appear to have some mold on the baseboard near the bathtub.
Water is not potable.
The young lady and her 5 year old son who manage the place are friendly and attentive.
It is the cheapest option in Haines Junction and if that is all you need, it is adequate.

Rustic

I stepped out of my room in the morning and was staring at mountains. Absolutely gorgeous view.
3.8
Office had unkempt appearance as did the entire property. No ice available.
3.8
Although this property is very old, the room was clean and comfortable. Coffee pot did not work properly.
3.8
If there is no other place to stay, the Stardust is better than nothing. That’s the best way I can say it.
(Thinnest pillows I’ve ever seen in my life!)
3.8
Plenty of parking and had ample room for my truck with trailer. The room was spacious with 2 comfy beds; showers worked well and basic toiletries provided. Only negative was the thin walls to hear the neighbors who thankfully were not too loud and the floors creak loudly so you can hear every movement
3.8
Rustic and quaint.

Totally enjoyed

Property is very old. If you stay, we cleaned room 2 upon arrival on night the 3rd…. We had too. The bed linens are horrid. The sheets are practical see through and the pillows are so old they are paper thin. You absolutely will hear everything your neighbors are doing. The floors have a nice give to them, real bouncy if you like that sort of thing. There are a couple positives the view from the room was amazing, parking lot was large enough to fit my pickup truck and trailer easily.

We were on a road trip and our arrival was delayed until around 11PM. One easy call to the motel resolved our late chech-in problem. Our room was simple, clean and adequately furnished. It is conveniently located on the Alcan Highway.
3.8
It was an older place but mostly kept up. Sat on porch looked a beautiful mountains. Loved just driving up to the door.
3.8
Our stay at the Stardust was wonderful! This place is so conveniently located and comfy. I look forward to stayin here again on our way through the Yukon.
3.8
Very little lightning in the room, light bulbs burned out, lamp kept flashing from high to dim, tv didn’t work and shades on the window were not complete so you had no privacy. I thank rating it average is probably too high.
3.8
Cable tv did not work. Cleanliness is lacking. Old towels in room, old soap in shower. Maid needs a checklist.

I'm having a difficult time, trying to figure out how this motel has so many 5 star ratings unless lower ratings are being removed.
When we arrived in the afternoon, (approximately 3:00), of our reserved night, the place looked deserted. The office was closed, but my name, room number, and "key is in room" was written on the door. There was a phone number to check in. I called the number and left a message.
The room was very run down. Old bedding, no pillow case on the old, flat pillows other than the zip on cover, which was torn on one. The sheets and towels appeared clean. The heater wasn't coming on so I contacted the number. The manager came and said he turned it on, so apparently he needed to flip on the breaker switch. I had to ask for the wifi password which was inside the one nightstand. No comfortable chairs to sit in, (two kitchen table chairs.)
We wanted to go eat, but didn't feel comfortable leaving our belongings so we turned around and went back to make a sandwich. No one else checked in that night, so we felt like we were all alone on the outskirts of town, and did not sleep well.
Would not stay again. Would not recommend to friends.
3.8
Room was not clean. Water wasn’t clear so didn’t trust it. We did not stay second night. Took the loss as they would not refund our money for second night.
3.8
Outside of hotel not like actual trashy, not kept up. Room 6 had only 3 half electrical outlets available for use. Small compact refrigerator was sitting on floor with tray and coffee supplies sitting on top. Room smelled, had to buy air freshener. MINIMAL furniture. Only picture on wall was glued up puzzle. No phone. Sink and toilet sized for midgets! Sink could fall off wall if leaned on per staff note! DO not stay here if you require ADA! Not supported! Cheapest bare furnishings used. Saw check in clerk once. Was told to leave room key hanging on wall when leaving, NO FORMAL CHECKOUT!
3.8
advertised laundry services although none on site, bed was too small and uncomfortable

We missed our original booking, but the owner made accommodations for our stay.
Thanks
