This was an amazing experience from start to finish. The room was comfortable and we had a sanctuary view, we woke up to a koala in the tree outside our window! The lounge area had gorgeous views of the harbor and opera house and the direct access to the zoo was a huge bonus. We opted for a night tour which I highly recommend as some of the animals are more active at night. Overall this was an unforgettable experience and we'd highly recommend.

This is the most amazing place I have ever stayed at, and i travel a lot. It's just beautiful, everyone friendly & helpful, so modern & comfortable. It is inside the Taronga zoo & non profit so it supports the zoo animals. AND there is a koala sleeping right outside my window!!!

This was a wonderful hotel. Great staff and service. Unfortunately we had animal view rooms, but the koala never moved by the windows of either of our rooms. One suggestion would be more food options for kids on the menu.

Check in was quick and efficient. We arrived at 12.00 and was pleasantly surprised that our room was ready. The room was comfortable and clean. Access into the Zoo was via your room key and the retreat had its own entry so you could come and go as you pleased. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend a stay.

It is a resort hotel near the city in Mosman. The service and environment are much better and comfortable than the 5 stars hotel in the inner city. We book an ordinary room since We could not book the animal room online. We are so lucky we can upgrade to the animal room without cost. There are 2 koralas we can see from our room. The young one is very active in the morning and walk between 3 trees to search the fresh leaves for breakfast. It is the first I see korala walks and I never forget this moment. The large lounge is semi-circle, and we can see the harbour bridge and opera house. We are so relaxing and comfortable by sitting both inside and outside. We spend most of time there （dust and after fine dinner） at the first day of arrival. The view is stunning, and birds are flying just in front of you. The Zoo is well maintained, and we have 2-day pass which is connect with the resort hotel. We can go in and out by many times through a special entrance. I and my young adult daughter enjoy the day very much. There is something need to be aware if you have big bags or immobility. All the lifts are not working, form the Taronga wharf up to the main hotel entrance. I can see people carry the baby chairs struggle with the steps and deep slope. Taking ferry from circular quay is extremely convenient. 2 ferries per hour and it takes about 25mins ride.

Staying at the retreat was amazing and one of those core memories that we will forever treasure with our kids. I love what they are doing and how our stay is contributing to the zoo's conservation efforts. Every penny was worth it and for a great cause too. If you're still thinking, don't. Book it now. Very convenient location to the zoo and we feel special too because they recognize the lanyards given by the hotel. The sanctuary tour was a treat and the breakfast with a view was heaven on earth. We hope to be back soon. I heard it is hard to book when the locals heard us that we're staying at the property. We were more than lucky!

We had an amazing stay! This was the highlight of our trip to Australia! We decided on the animal view room and to be honest I wasn't expecting that we may not see any animals from our room during our stay. Well we had a koala right outside our room during the entire stay! The entire staff from the bartender, front desk staff and the zoo tour guides were amazing! The lounge has a spectacular view of the Sydney Harbour and it is especially at sunset. We had a tour of the zoo before it opened to the public and the tour guides were so friendly and informative. You can tell how much the animals and conservation means to them.

This really was a retreat and a unique experience! Every morning, we were greeted by a koala in the tree outside our window, and we enjoyed watching the echidnas beside the patio every day. Access to the zoo was easy and convenient, and the staff and private tours of the property were fantastic.

This resort deserves a five star review.The welcoming staff go above and beyond to make your stay amazing, the Me-Gal restaurant were very knowledgeable and accommodating as I am coeliac, our meal was outstanding and breakfast just as delicious. We had the bushland view room which still had an amazing view, was very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. Being able to park easily at the zoo and have access to wonder around on both checkin and checkout days made this overnight stay feel like a full weekend away. We will definitely be back

AMAZING stay. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They treat you like gold. The room was perfect. We loved our Animal View Room. Such a special experience. To be able to wake up and see him, visit with him before bed and check on him during the middle of the night. I would stay again snd for 3 or 4 nights. Food for the lounge snd restaurant were a bit pricey.

It was amazing to stay near the koala. Hotel is beautifully designed, and offers a nice view on Sydney. Room is very comfortable and quiet. Staff are nice. Hotel guests have a special entrance in the zoo, which is really cool. For the standing of the hotel, it's ridiculous that the complementary coffee/teas are not fulfilled during housekeeping.. Should be more relax about check-out time, no late check-out was offered. Breakfast wasn't amazing, but ok.

We were a family of 4 adults and two toddlers staying in interconnecting animal view rooms. So lovely to wake up to a koala nestling in a tree outside your window! Great access to zoo on the day we arrive and our checkout day and so relaxing to be able to return to the lounge area with spectacular views of the harbour whenever we wanted. Breakfast overlooking the harbour included!!! A must do.

I had an excellent experience as a hotel guest with easy access to the Zoo. The hotel has its own exclusive entrance/exit directly to the Zoo, which was incredibly convenient. It was amazing to be so close to the wild animals, and I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and unafraid they were towards people. Additionally, the hotel's restaurant was fantastic, offering delicious food, and the view from the restaurant was breathtaking.

Everyone staff member was absolutely delightful, very informative and very friendly. The retreat took our breath away from the moment we walked into the reception area. We arrived very late but the service was outstanding. The tour this morning was amazing before we could take off and enjoy the zoo on our own.We will definitely return. Thank you 😊

This is our second stay and, as usual, the service was amazing. We messaged to ask if we can be put in room where we have a better chance of seeing the resident koala as we missed it the previous year and they made an effort to observe the behaviour of the koala and put us in a room that he is frequently outside of! Everyone is so warm and welcoming. We only wished we had better planned this trip and had the time to stay longer! Thanks to everyone at the retreat for making this so unforgettable!
