Nice place

Stay was awesome. Restaurant food was good but less options and expensive
Staff was simply great. Staff was quite helpful and guiding whenever required. Many activities available at the hotel
Sauna was amazing at hotel too
4.5
Relaxt and comfortable place to stay when visiting Abisko National Park. We stayed in a twin room.
4.5
STF is the best place to stay a few nights at Abisko national Park . You are in the center of the amazing park. Very clean and staff are very helpful. Will stay here again for sure .

The cabin needs a bit of renovation but overall, it's still acceptable. It would be lot better if linen and towels could be provided for free.
4.5
Great to be in the Swedish mountains again. This is the perfect place to stay for the ambiance.

Husband Skied the Kungsleden so I stayed here before he finished and then we both stayed at the end. Lovely hotel and perfect location.

Incredible location, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere :)

Super nettes Personal

Very lovely place with several good facilities!

Very well run retreat into nature. The front desk staff was amazingly patient and caring; dealing with clients from many countries with different expectations. There is no TV - yeah! - or piped music so it is very relaxing. The sauna was great. Beds comfortable. The location is great and again, the staff is great.

Cleanliness was good but bedlinen needed to pay additionally

Our stay at STF Abisko Turiststation was great. The location is a bit out of town but great for viewing the Northern Lights. There are so many activities offered. Breakfast was served every morning. The lodge is very quaint. Lots of places around the lodge to lounge and relax. Definitely would stay again.

The only reason why I would book this accommodation is because close to the start of Kungsleden trail, there aren't many other options. The staff especially was not only unfriendly, but also extremely unhelpful. Also from one day to another, the price for breakfast just went up. When I pointed this out, the only comment I got was: "oh yes, we just increased the price today".

We stayed for two nights as part of a magical trip in Swedish Lapland. We loved it here, the staff were super nice and they allocated an amazing room as we were celebrating a big birthday for my wife. Food at breakfast and lunch was fine but choice was maybe a bit restricted, but we had a fabulous dinner on one of the nights. The walk down to the lake is lovely, as was the Sensing the Arctic installation next to it. Late check out was available for only 150SEK which made our final day a lot easier.

This is a stay to be experienced. We stayed in the hotel room (not the hostel).
First off , the restaurant is amazing( good and views and especially the staff) . Lots of options even for those with different food allergies and sensitivities. This is a high quality buffet with ginger turmeric shots as well. Lunch buffet was different daily and we waiting for it to be lunch time . For dinner there is also a bistro.
The kitchen in the hostel is huge and very clean. Has microwaves and refrigerators as well as 4 cooing ranges each with 4 stove tops. Huge dining area.
Several reading and sitting areas all around with great views. The rental shop had everything. the tours usually start from here. The hotel offers its own tours as well.

Close to everything. Happening. Easy access to so many easy and difficult hiking trails. Amazing location with gorgeous views.

Beautiful area and staying in the igloo was an awesome experience. We got excellent pics of the Northern Lights!
4.5
If you want to see the northern lights, this is a safe, warm location to do it. The food is expensive and not very good. The man at the front desk (owner?) wasn’t warm or friendly. Overall, you might have a better experience somewhere else in Abisko at a smaller establishment. I’ve been here twice and it’s still my opinion
4.5
The room for two people is very large and clean. However the hostel has no elevator. Breakfast is good but bacon is not very fresh.

Stayed in one of the rooms in the main building. It's perfectly comfortable and nice. The location is perfect too. Breakfast amazing, they even had a tray with vegan cheese, yoghurt, etc. and the porrige was vegan. All good, thank you
4.5
Wonderful place that is unusual in both its accommodation offering and the landscape it resides in. Great place with lots of nooks to take it easy, read and pass the time whilst watching the snow fall. Great service and well informed staff.
4.5
Good hotel, in a perfect position for viewing the northern lights. The staff is young, energising and kind.
4.5
Clean, warm, quiet room in the heart of Abisko National Park. Northern lights tours pick you up right on the premises. Many hundreds of km of trails with a variety of views around the park right outside the front door. Breakfast buffet was good and the bistro was excellent.
4.5
The most closest and convenient accommodation from Abisko national park.
All of staff are very kind and lovely. I strongly recommend this hostel and would like to stay again if I visit here again.

We loved our stay! We stayed two nights and saw the northern lights both nights! We enjoyed hiking around during the day and had plenty to eat at breakfast. We would recommend this place if you’re looking for nature and northern lights!

Eco friendly and great kitchen, nive view

Not quiet - doors slam loudly making it difficult to sleep. Would never book again unless renting a private cabin.

Great place! Lovely weather!

This stay was wonderful from start to finish. I truly thought the high cost of this facility was due to the location and it being as desolate as it is.. however, I was so wrong. This hotel was perfect. We had a speedy check in, some of the best food we had the whole trip and perfect guest services. BOOK THIS HOTEL! And also book the lights over Lapland tour with it! Best place in the world to see the NLs.

We booked a superior cabin with breakfast & bedding included, however on arrival we were charged for bedding and told that breakfast was not included as this is not a hotel (which is obvious and felt kind of rude). We were allocated one toilet roll for our 3 guests 2 night stay and had a set amount of hot water that we could use. The wifi did not work in the rooms and there was no TV in the lodge either. I appreciate that this is not a hotel, but we paid £500 for a superior lodge for 2 nights which felt very expensive for what we received. However, the location was absolutely amazing with great views from the lodge which made it better.

The perfect place to stay if you wanna see the Aurora. Just at the entrance of Abisko National Park so there is no light pollution. We stayed there for 2 nights and both of them we saw the northern lights. And the best thing was that we could watch them directly from our window without even leaving the warm room :) The only thing we didn't like was that we had to clean our room prior check out or pay additional fee to the property. I've traveled many countries in different continents and this is the only place where I had to clean the room.
4.5
Really amazing! We stayed on a cabin and was a dream. With kitchen, leaving room, and rooms on the 2nd floor.
4.5
Good clean place, warm and cosy. The food is very limited for vegans and very expensive too

We stayed in a hostel room in a separate building. The hostel was clean and well organized. Large full-ystocked kitchen, shared toilets and showers in each wing (four wings) and nice saunas in the lower level. When booking, we should have been told that everything is closed in the park at this time of year (everything opens again on 17 November) except the hostel. The restaurant was closed (so bring food or walk 3km to nearest store), the nature center was closed, the butik was closed. This would have been good to know when booking. Also, bring house slippers as you are not allowed to wear your shoes past the entry hall (a good thing). You can bring your own sheets and towels or rent them from the hostel (around 170 SEK).
Renovated in 2015, the hostel is a great way to see Abisko National Park as it's right at the entry to all trails. The train drops you off right across the street from the hostel and there are carts at the train station that you can use to cart your bags to the hostel.

The hotel does not look nice from the outside. However, don't be fooled - it is very nice inside.
Another however: the rooms are National Park nice, which means they're a little spartan, but perfectly adequate for a place to launch your adventures from.
The food was great; the staff were great (and very helpful during a stormy-road-shutdown); and the setting is phenomenal.

Overall the staying experience is great and I may visit the place again. The only disappointing thing is that our room was not locked after the cleaning service. We reported this to the reception and the person there didn't care.
