Had few problems getting the code to get into room and took a little while and a few phone calls to sort out . Room was fine and lovely breakfast. I was in yen room and the shower is very small and the shower fittings are worn so you need to hold the hand held to use but as it’s a very small cubicle it isn’t easy . Obviously this is a minor issue as is when leaving I couldn’t put the keys back in the safe box as it wouldn’t open again. It’s only a few little minor things that I’m sure will get put right in due course.

Would not stay there again The apartment was tiny not suitable for two people. The bathroom was even worst. Couldn’t turn around in the shower. I fell of the bed because of the unevenness of the floor and bed. The side tables wobbled and were very unsteady. No room to put your bags, we left them in the car and took a small back pack up to the room. On the positive side the breakfast good and was huge.

Where to begin…the entire experience went from bad to worse. To start, the room was not ready when we went to check in at the advertised check in time. After being promised that it would only be another 5 minutes, we waited an additional 30 minutes to get in to a room that was in terrible shape. Large stains on the bed and sheets. Stains on the side table and chairs. Massive black scuff marks on the walls. A spider made its home in the (obviously uncleaned) bathtub. The shower and sink barely drained to the point of not being functional. And on top of all that, the basic security amenities of a security lock on the door was painfully absent and when we attempted to contact the facility manager, we were ghosted all weekend. If this room was one third of the cost, I would say it is overpriced.

Beautiful room. Amazing breakfast delivered to the room so it all felt very romantic.
The view was wonderful out of the beautiful bay window.
The room was Clean but compact so next time I come back I would book the larger room.

Incredible location and experience. Terrible check in. Didn't get the email with code and nobody on site to help. Wasted an hour with tears searching for answers

Booked very last min, arrived an hour later, friendly host on the phone helped us get in as was late. Yes it’s above a chip shop but no smell or anything. Really lovely / clean comfortable room. Ample tea and coffee - very welcome!!! Beautiful view of the river with chairs to sit on in front of the window just to watch the world go by and my friend was in heaven with the free standing bath in a lovely bathroom . Definately recommend . 👍

When we arrive at 4pm, the cleaner is still cleaning then we can only take our room at around 5pm.

The location was perfect for morning strolls. The square around the hotel gets very busy during the day, but night and morning slowed down quite a bit. Very nice to get up and wander in the morning without the crowds.

INCREDIBLE home located in Bourton-on-the-water that truly feels like your home away from home. It was very well equipped, super clean, cozy and comfortable. Their attention to detail sets them apart from all other housing options. Definitely recommend!

Brilliant find: perfect location with lovely views over the main high street & river, modern and clean accommodation, fresh milk in fridge & cafetière coffee is a step up from usual hotel rooms and the breakfast room service was absolutely fantastic!

We loved this little inn. The family suite was perfect for 4 people, we had a beautiful view of the lovely town. Breakfast of our choice delivered daily was wonderful. They even accommodated gluten free for one of our children. Angelheart helped us with a cot one evening for an extra guest and he was so kind. We would stay here again if we ever visit the Cotswolds in the future.

Although the price/cost is the same as other hotels, there is no personnel/place in hotel to check you in. You simply need to open a locked cabin to get keys for the room.
The bedrooms are tight, the bathrooms very, very small. They also aren’t very clean.

Centrally located, wonderful view of the river.Toiletries were lovely, bed comfortable. We were pre warned that the room was small, this was not a problem.Really recommend that some bedside lamps are installed, the overhead lights were way too bright. Also the bathroom bin had the previous occupant’s rubbish in .

As other reviews say this hotel is ideally located in the centre of the village with most rooms, including ours, overlooking the river. Ours (Sterling) was spacious and well appointed with a large bathroom & a large comfortable bed. What other reviews might not tell you is;
* There is a chip shop on the ground floor
* all breakfasts are delivered to your room at half hour slots of your choice.
* There are no staff at the hotel (keys access from key safes)
* Bourton can get extremely busy ,especially on sunny weekends ,and you almost certainly wont be able to park close to the hotel
However none of this is really a problem (though we had to ring the contact as our key safe number hadn't been emailed to us). The chip shop doesn't stay open late & doesn't smell. The breakfasts were always delivered on time & were delicious. There's a pay car park just on the edge of the village about 10 minutes walk away. The crowds go home in the evening!

Really nice and easy place to stay. Beautiful and clean. Only thing was the main spotlights in the bedroom only had 1 working and there was no bath mat and only 2 towels so would have liked more.

Neet and tidy, great location, nice breakfast
Shower is miniature, can’t move in it
Room very hot all night - faces the setting sun
We didn’t receive the email with check in arrangements and had to call the manager who was helpful

Prior to writing this review I have given the hotel 3 opportunities to respond to me privately. The location, the view, the room, the breakfast can’t be faulted. All outstanding. However the mattress in the Euro suite is broken. When laying on it you sink right to the base. Very unpleasant night. Ruined what would otherwise have been a perfect stay.

Great location. It was a bit hot on our day, so that made me enjoy the roll less (no air). The fan was helpful, and the TV was a nice touch. Breakfast was good. It was also a bit difficult having no one to talk to about parking, etc. the restaurant workers didn’t seem familiar with the hotel process. Otherwise - fabulous view.

Great location, lovely rooms and view. In room breakfast a bit awkward though as there wasn’t sufficient table space and chairs for the 3 of us.

No car park. No staff on hand for any questions or help. Tables to small to comfortable eat breakfast. Would have like to use the dinning area. Breakfast was delicious and we got fruit and yogurt which to fair was not on the menu . No saucers for the very small cups. Tea and coffee was not very pleasant, but the pint of milk in the fridge was a nice touch.

The hotel is lovely, the Euro room is spacious and really nicely appointed with everything you could want for an overnight stay. The bed is super comfortable with lovely linen, good quality tea & coffee is provided, dressing gowns and a mini fridge. The bathroom is amazing, roll top bath, huge shower and double sinks. The view is great over the village and lovely to sit and enjoy your super breakfast in the morning.

Great location with river views, really nice decor in the room. Great shower as well.
Unfortunately the room wasn't clean (lots of spider webs and spiders) and there was a very cold draught from the window. It was also very noisy as the windows are not double glazed, and there were loud noises from the shop next door at 6am that woke us up

Lovely setting, beautiful bathroom and nicely decorated. TV was stuck on demo mode, so couldn't watch TV properly (not a huge issue).
Most disappointing was a soaking wet bed due to the leaking roof (a crack in the ceiling with water damage markings). After a long day we climbed into bed to discover the pillows, duvet, sheet and mattress was soaking wet - too wet to ignore or sleep on. We called the 24 hour number and a very helpful man arrived to get us new pillow cases and duvet cover, which helped. I must stress, the man was incredibly polite, understanding and attentive, especially given that we called around 9pm on a Saturday.
We were told that this would be reported to the owners and we we could discuss our experience with them.
It's very disappointing that we have not been contacted since, despite our attempts to contact them and raise the issue via email.
It's understandable that these things happen from time to time, but the affected bedding showed signs of water damage (brown marks) indicating the issue had been there a while.
£195 is a decent price tag for one night (18 hours if you go from allotted check in/out times). I wouldn't expect such a disruptive issue for that premium.
