Nice roomy corner room

We love the hotel and it provides us with a classy and comfortable stay when we visit our family member in a nursing home in Roanoke. We enjoyed the menu last night at The Vault. Our only concern is that for the last few stays we did not receive a full box of tissues and a full roll of toilet paper upon our arrival.

The hotel was beautiful and comfortable. It was a perfect combination of old and new decor, wonderfully appointed. The staff couldn’t have been better.

It was very, very clean, and the staff were exemplary. The only thing I did not care for was having to keep a room key card in a slot inside the room in order for the lights to stay on for more than a couple of minutes.

The building and lounge areas are very beautiful. The location was perfect for us. All of the staff we encountered were incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. Our room was clean, but very small, which is fine. However, the TV was placed to the side of the bed, which made watching less than comfortable. Also, there was not a luggage rack, or any drawers, so we had to put our roller bag on the desk. Overall, we had a great stay!

Unexpected gem of a stay! Unique and historic. Very creative renovations. Romantic birthday Surprise!

The lobby and hotel bar are beautiful. We stayed in the Superior King room and it was quite spacious. The downside is the noise level from the train tracks which is 1 block away. The hotel supplies you with ear plugs and even a sound machine. Unfortunately, none of this helped me.

The price for this place was quite expensive, I expected way more!! Very basic and standard. I have paid less for better places!! Very over rated!!

Amazing hotel nice clean little city!

Overall the hotel was wonderful. The bed was not. There was no fitted sheet, just a flat sheet covered the mattress that slipped off constantly during the night so we were sleeping on the plastic mattress pad. We didn’t realize it until we left, but the bed cover/blanket was actually a Mattress pad! I will attach pictures. Clearly the person making the bed is clueless!

The only add that I would see is to have a chair in the room.

The Liberty Trust is a terrific hotel with a super friendly staff, conveniently located in the heart of downtown Roanoke. Situated in a historic building previously housing a bank, the Liberty Trust oozes charm and sophistication!

I stayed here one night before hiking the AT Triple Crown section. I was a female traveling alone and felt very safe. I ate dinner about 2 blocks away at a Lebanese restaurant, and then ate breakfast downstairs in the hotel bar area. Room was clean and quiet. The building used to be a bank and still has a cute little vault and the mail chutes in the halls.

Very nice stay, though we booked the cheapest queen thru Hotels.com and wound up with a view of the ventilation shaft. Could have spent $10 more for a bigger room with a view.

Ohhh, how I loved this hotel! I loved the old building that was carefully restored and somehow the modern, clean rooms just worked! I loved the bathroom and the towels were so soft! Toiletries were wonderful and it just had a great vibe! Location was great!
However… starting around midnight the outside noise was unreal and it really ramped up at 2am when Corned Beef closed. The rest of the night/morning was filled with sounds of sirens, street racing, horns blowing and people yelling. The hourly trains passing through were nothing compared to all that! There was no chance of sleeping. The hotel did graciously provide ear plugs, but most parents who are away from home have to be able to hear the phone in case they’re needed. I am so sad to say that I wouldn’t stay here again. The hotel was WONDERFUL. The area ruined it.

Directly next to a bar that is noticeably loud after 11pm then even louder when the bar closes at 2am. Woke me up. I was on a lower floor but be aware. Room was very small but very nice. Bathroom and shower especially beautiful. Window panes and sills very, very dusty.
I arrived after 10pm and found the outer door locked so I called and no one answered. I tried the bar option upon calling a second time and did reach the check-in desk. Lady was very friendly and helpful, but the process was lacking. I even had tried what I thought was the doorbell to no avail. She quickly brought additional towels to our room.
The most egregious issue was that stair access was not actually accessible. Hallway outside the rooms that led to the excessively narrow stairwell was being used as a laundry staging area. Seemed very unsafe in the event of emergency. Probably would not pass inspection.

We've stayed here a few times and always loved it! Very accommodating and accessible.

The carpet in the elevator was horrendous. There was not a discount or any consideration regarding the false advertisement. The shower was good except the lower half of the grout was discolored. Also, there was a missing blanket at the foot of the bed. I did not want to charge for items someone had taken away.

Totally unique property since it was a bank. Love how vintage it felt with totally renovated rooms. Awesome bathroom and perfect sided riom

Very good location but construction made it a little difficult to get around on foot. Room was huge and clean, but no housekeeping between nights even though they asked us when we wanted housekeeping to come. I’ve read reviews complaining about noise from nearby railroad. Yes, we could hear it, but it was barely noticeable.
