Beautiful facility, terrible service. Staff inconsiderate (Ashley Galvan and Elsa). We have stayed at numerous top notch hotels through the world and never received worse service than from here. Sad because it’s a beautiful location, but the staff ruined our trip.

The pictures at Hotels.com perfectly matched the hotel property. The landscape around the bungalows is beautiful and the views of the sunrise and sunsets were spectacular. At night, it is so quiet and it made for an amazing place to stay. The bungalow was clean, the mid-century design and comfortable furnishings made our two night stay amazing.

The location was spectacular overlooking the desert with the mountains in the background. The room was good, the bed was comfortable and the kitchenette area worked well. We could sit at the table in the room or on the back patio with a spectacular view. We didn't realize that the Bungalows was a part of a retreat area, but being in the middle of the summer, the other facilities were not in use, such as the cafe. Many of the buildings were designed by Lloyd Wright and all of the fell into the midcentury modern mode.

Friend and I stayed here one night in August to go to a nearby stargazing tour in Joshua Tree. The location was perfect; a short drive to where we needed to be. Room wise, this place was great! Clean, comfy, and modern. The beds and pillows were super comfy and loved the floor to ceiling windows to look out. The bungalows are in a place away from the rest of the retreat but easy to find if you follow the signs. At night there are lights to drive around the property. It's a short 5 min. walk to the pool area, which was refreshing given how hot it gets. However there are no umbrellas and very little shade. We only got to use the pool for an hour since check in was 3 pm and we needed to go to dinner at 6. No TV in the room which was fine; a/c worked great and was cooling. Shower and bathroom facilities were also nice and having a kitchenette was good but we didn't need. Overall comfy and relaxing stay for one night. They email/text you the code to get into the property two hours before check in. We didn't download or need to use the app they recommend to check in. Bungalow came with a parking spot. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

Beautiful surroundings. Great room with everything you could need including full kitchen with drinks and snacks. Pool was wonderful to cool off and the deck chairs and lounges perfect for stargazing!

Amazing property! Definitely exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the Deluxe studio and it provided enough space for a weekend stay with everything we needed. The large windows and private outdoor seating area make for a great place to watch the sunrise and the sunset! Will definitely be back 😊

A beautiful bungalow that has been lovingly renovated and curated with the most comfortable furnishings and equipped with everything you need. The desert views are stunning by day and the star gazing is magnificent at night. A truly magical place to rejuvenate mind and body. We will definitely be back.

The bungalow itself was nice and cozy, desert mid century. I didn't realize there wasn't a TV but it ended up being better that way. We had some wine and sat on the back patio looking out into the desert, looking at the stars. The property is interesting, and if you've never been to a desert town like Joshua Tree it might spook you. I didn't know the history of the retreat property until we got there and read up on it. Some of the buildings are closed but will be really cool if/when they get renovated. The only thing I think could be improved is making sure someone checks the grounds/does more regular upkeep. We went on a walk around 1030 pm, and by the pool there was a woman's hat with freshly picked flowers tucked in the brim, and about 3 feet away was a pair of women's underwear. Kind of felt like a crime scene but hopefully just evidence of someone having a fun night. Also, there is a spot on the property with an older outdoor bookshelf. The books aren't in good condition which is fine, but on the ground next to it there was a discarded, old looking duffel bag with male clothes in it. It looked very weathered like it had been there a while. Again, felt a little spooky but it's Joshua Tree and spooky is part of the vibe. Otherwise we had a great time! lol

Fabulous! Our 1 bedroom was beautiful. There were wonderful touches to make your stay as comfortable as possible including providing coffee, board games and drinks in the fridge. The property is so unique and an experience unto itself. A yoga retreat from the early 50’s with interesting architecture, art and even vortexes on the property. It made our visit to Joshua Tree that much more magical.

We really enjoyed the privacy these Bungalows provided, as well as their close distance to Joshua Tree National Park. The Bungalows offer a great opportunity for family gatherings! The rooms are clean and spacious and kitchen area well stocked. Desert scene from the large windows bring such calm into the space. We definitely recommend a stay here!

The bungalow was beautiful. Very comfortable and has everything needed. Quiet and lovely . The property did not have anyone on site… could not locate pool on arrival … did not have code for gate and nobody working on site

The bungalows are very beautiful and comfortable. However the hot tub was not working which would have been great to know before - that was one of the main reasons we picked this place - also - in addition to the room fee I have two charges on my card from the bungalows for $89 each which I can’t get anyone to respond to me about / help me with. This is a significant amount of money and I need it back. Resorting to review here to see if I can get help

A beautiful, unique and peaceful stay in the desert! It was pretty chilly the night we stayed so my boyfriend and I opted to enjoy our bottle of wine in the comfort of the warm living room peering out the glass door/windows into the night sky. The views right from inside were breathtaking. I would definitely stay there again.

If you love mid century modern like we do, you will LOVE this space! Perfectly appointed. Do make sure to request one of the units facing the back of the property for the best views. We got lucky when checking in and did not have one of those units, but we were able to switch after reaching out via text at check in (although I’m sure the unit we were originally booked would have been just as beautiful inside just not the same gorgeous dessert view). The bed was unbelievably comfortable as well. Make sure to get up and enjoy sunrise right outside on the Adirondack chairs at the back edge of the property. We had delicious cocktails and dinner at the Copper Room which is close by . Thank you for a wonderful two night stay while we were hiking at Joshua Tree! We have already recommended you to other friends!

This is neat complex of bungalows that have been restored with modern materials and amenities. The photographs provided on the website give a very good idea of what you will be experiencing in terms of space and design. However, what is not clear from any of the reviews or description is that the complex is located right next to the major highway going south. This is a four lane ordeal that is noisy all day and pretty much all night. To me this is a major distraction and takes away from what at one time probably was a very cool and somewhat remote location. Last, as others pointed out, this complex needs a wayfinding project to be completed so that everybody can easily find their way around. The signage is terrible and if you arrive at night good luck! Also, be aware that this property is dog, friendly and many of the owners do not have their dogs on leashes.

Really great stay. Very helpful staff and were able to answer all my questions prior to my stay. They accommodated my dog with a doggy bed and some poop bags. Had many comfy amenities around the room that are very useful if cooking indoors. Overall we had an amazing stay!
