We attended an event at the Murat Theatre at Old National Centre. From our apartment at the Argyle we were able to walk to the theater then to dinner. We felt safe. There were many others walking around enjoying downtown. Parking was available right behind the building which was wonderful. We parked when we got there then were able to walk everywhere we went all weekend.

Great location within walking distance of Mass Ave bars, restaurants, and shops. It's a little unconventional since it's an apartment rather than a hotel, so you gain the amenities of having a full kitchen and more space. You lose the amenities of concierge, housekeeping, etc. Checkout instructions included cleaning your own dishes. Street parking in the area was paid from 7 AM to 11 PM on all days except Sunday. We arrived Saturday night and left Monday morning, so it was cheaper to NOT buy the $20/night parking pass. Instead, we downloaded the app on the meters and paid as we went.

We stayed in 6 apartments for the National FFA Convention. The location worked well. Parking a school bus was a challenge but that worked itself out. The bathrooms are small but still fit our need. There was a communication debacle regarding our pup being with us but that worked itself out also.
4.3
The apartment is really cute, and the location is great. But understand it's a neighborhood with a lot of nightlife, so it's not quiet until late.
I took one star off on communication because it should've been communicated better ahead of time to purchase a parking pass, as none was available once we got there. And even if it were, no one was on property to be able to give it to us the evening we arrived. Other communicating was good.

This stay was exactly what I was hoping for. Love the walkable area. Bustling and lively. So many places to go within walking. Great if you are looking for nightlife and lgbtq+ friendly establishments. I would stay again. It is noisy at night, but city sounds don't bother me. I slept like a baby.

My first time staying here was great, and the amazing location is what made me want to stay again. The actual apartment had all the comforts of home. The only issue this time around was the WiFi went out a day after I arrived and was not working properly throughout my entire stay which made it difficult to get things done. The company tried to fix the issue and said it was due to problems in the area, but it did put a damper on my stay being that I couldn't get certain things done to to slow or no WiFi.

I felt right at home during my stay at The Argyle. The layout of the apartment was perfect for my needs. The building was quiet with the exception of the outside street noise, specifically on the weekends, but that's a small price to pay to be in an excellent location with plenty of restaurants, shops, and close to everything downtown Indy has to offer. I definitely would stay again!
4.3
Overall a good stay! Agree with previous reviews about slight cigarette smell, slow draining tub, decreased cleanliness in hallway and street noise. That being said, the bed and couch were comfortable, the location is great, in the unit was clean and the communication was excellent during the stay. We booked a separate parking spot that was very close through Spot Hero.
4.3
The Argyle is located in a cool part of Indianapolis with lots of options for food and drinks. The common spaces of the building show their age but the units themselves are quite nice. Getting to the location and getting in and out of the unit and building is easy. A good place to stay!

You get what you pay for. Overall, I would say "okay". It's an older building so the windows had no insulation for noise. The second night we were there, a music venue right below had an event and the floors were literally vibrating. Lots of street noise as well. Very difficult to sleep. It's walkable to great restaurants and a grocery store, which was very helpful. The biggest challenge and frustration for us was we wanted to shorten our visit by 2 nights as our plans had changed. We contacted the property first and was told we needed to go to Expedia.. I contacted Expedia within the guidelines of the cancellation/change and was given a confirm # and amount it would be reduced. Later, the property told us that they could not honor that. Left hand/right hand. I probably will go back to the hotel route next time as it's just easier.

What the best “hotel” stays we have ever had. One bedroom apt for less than any hotel. Amazing restaurants right under us. We definitely do this type of experience again. Private apartments.
4.3
I love the surroundings. Easy Acess to restaurants and Starbucks
4.3
The unit itself was very clean. The hallways in the building, however, were worn and very dirty
4.3
Good place to stay…a little rowdy on weekend nights.
4.3
The apartment was very clean, great location. There were a few mechanical issues at the location- a closet door was off the tracks and the tub drained slowly.
The parking upgrade is highly recommended- the area is busy!

Great location, great room. Fantastic overall.

The unit was nice but over all needs better cleaning service. I checked into my unit and soon as I walked into the unit it was a strong urine smell, like pets were previously there before me and wasn’t cleaned properly. The carpet was kinda sticky in some areas, you can tell where the pets have pissed on the carpet. I also had been in contact with the place about the smell because upon checking the bed it also reeked of strong urine smell in the covers and sheets. Which is discussing, and when I let them know about it, I was blamed for possibly doing it because they swear their cleaning crew didn’t smell any urine before I came. I was offered to change rooms but I didn’t accept it due to all the things I had brought with me I didn’t want to move all my stuff into a new spot because I wouldn’t really have time or help to do so. So I asked if I can talk to an actual person to bring them to the unit to see and smell for themselves and if they can provide new sheets and covers then I would stay in the unit. On top of the piss smell it was a cigarette smell lingering and I informed them about it as well and had been blamed for it bc their cleaning people told them other wise. So instead of listening to a paying customer, and at least discounting my stay I was blamed for things I didn’t do or cause and I would not recommend staying here if you like to deal with people in person. It just seems like when they would respond to me via email, they were implying it’s there way or no way

The property was Good, only drawback was the central air was loud
4.3
Good location: plenty of restaurants and bars/breweries around. Comfortable apartment that was clean.
4.3
I really liked this apartment, and it was convenient (read: a doable walking distance) to the Convention Center. There were a few hiccups: My parking pass (purchased separately) was not ready for my arrival, and I had to jump through some hoops to get one. Also, I received no notification or communication upon check-out, which is no big deal--except they make a big deal about texting them at the right time or facing additional charges. Some kind of confirmation would have been helpful.
Overall, though, this place gets my recommendation.
4.3
The apartment was small but quaint. It was clean and the kitchen supplies were great! But the bedroom door is very squeaky and the screws holding on the hinges are very loose.
4.3
Great place. Very happy.
4.3
The common hallway carpets could be cleaned better and a parking pass should be included in rental and if additional are required then charge for those. Overall experience was good

The room and location were great. The unit was very clean, the neighborhood was quiet, and we had everything we needed. The only complaint we would have is the living room furniture was not at all comfortable, but we were in the room so little, it wasn't much of an issue for is.
4.3
Nice property in downtown. Not new, but has charm. Location for activities is great. If you don’t do well with night nose, may not be ideal. I have no problem falling asleep, so no issue for me.
4.3
Great location! Dinning, museums and shops all in walking distance. A very enjoyable neighborhood.
4.3
great location. plenty of dining and entertainment options within walking distance

We enjoy staying at the Argyle when we’re in Indy. The building is older, but the location is great. It’s nice to have parking and a kitchen.
4.3
I enjoyed my stay and the location. I just wish that I could talk to a live person instead of communicating by text messaging.
4.3
The property was immaculately clean, and the staff perfectly prompt and helpful. If I ever come to Indianapolis again, this is where I would stay.
4.3
I love how well and prompt they were communicating with me regarding any questions I had. Check in n out was smooth n easy. The apt. was clean n up to date. I think the only thing I could say needed fixed were some minor cracks in the ceiling n walls in the bathroom, otherwise I had no issues. The area was nice, very walkable n people friendly. Would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

Was in town for a swim meet at IUPUI - quick 10 minute drive so that was great. Location is amazing - walking distance to great restaurants and many things to do just outside of the inner city. Very clean. Only negative is the street noise - bring earplugs if your a light sleeper.
I would definitely stay here again!

The rooms were nice but logistics were difficult. Managers advertised that parking was available for a fee of $20/night. I reserved four units for two nights but was informed the day before arrival that only one space was available for one night, and the fee was $30/night. In this area, finding convenient parking is a hardship. Area has a hopping nightlife, which is cool, but the area were very noisy at closing time (≈2AM), and the units do not filter the outside noise well at all.
4.3
Unit is right on the street side and widows are only single pane. Noise and traffic keep me up most of the night time. constant smell of pot in the building from the moment you walked in the front door. The unit itself was nice, but would not stay there again.
4.3
We love the location. It's convenient to have a kitchen.

This was an awesome home base for my stay in Indianapolis. Nice central location for all sorts of restaurants, bars and the convention center. Highly recommend it, felt like a second home.
4.3
This place is terrible. My reservation was for 10/27-10/30. We arrived late, and check-in is through an email. Where it gives you the code to the front door and guides you to your room. Then it tells you to enter the code and press the check mark to enter your room. There was no code given to me other than the front door(and if it was the same code, it did not work). 2:30am called maintenance. Got a voice mail. Called the number through the box the front door, Got a voice mail. Called security got a voice mail. Called the complex, got a voicemail. Left messages on everyone’s voicemail. No return phone call (not even the next day. We had to get an Uber back toward the airport, about 20 miles to find a hotel that we had to pay AGAIN to stay in a place nowhere near where we wanted to be. Which cost us way more money in hotel fares Ubers and rental cars. STAY AWAY. Even during the day, they do not return phone calls, nor do they offer you a refund. 0 contact. Even no response through hotels.com who opened a case number.. but big surprise… no response.

We had a pleasant stay.

The room was extremely clean and fully furnished. I asked a question on their chat and got immediate reaponse. Very easy check in/out. Value at the price of room. Only drawback is it is in a city nightlife district so a lot of noise from traffic & people until early morning. The mornings are very peaceful and quiet. I would stay there again and highly recommend for the prive and the extremely friendly and responsive staff on site.

This was a very good location, and the room was perfect for our family. Communication was great, absolutely no problems!
