The way the holiday accommodation used to be. Family fun on the beach. nice little place to take the kids. Very few of these left on the shores of Vancouver Island sad to say.

The front desk Chris was very nice but the really nice thing was that they called us shortly after we got settled, they called on the house phone just to check and see if we were happy with their room! Basically a QUALITY CHECK! I have never had a quality check at a hotel or motel before, restaurants yes but a motel, never. Very nice thank you Sea Edge, everything was great we will be back!

After the giant crickets in our room were removed, and people with army boots above us moved on, and the shower curtain bar was put back up we had a lovely stay. Staff were extremely responsive and apologetic. Location right on the beach is beautiful. They are slowly modernizing. Even though I room was super old it was very clean.

The location was great. We walked to several restaurants nearby. It sits right on the water. The motel provides picnic tables and a fire pit so you can sit outside and look at the ocean. The view was gorgeous. The room was nice and bathroom updated with cool led lite mirror. They provide you with a fan because no AC. My only complaint is i wish the sliding door had a screen so we could have slept with door open because no window to open and it happened to be a rare hot day.

Beachfront motel conveniently located to downtown area. Rooms are a little outdated but clean and bed was very comfortable. Kitchen had everything needed for basic meal prep. Perfect for families.

This is an older property, a traditional beach motel, and it shows some wear. It's nothing fancy, but fine to stay in and reasonably priced. What stands out is it's the closest property in town to the beach -- about 250 feet with no bank -- which is why you came here in the first place. It's right at the end of the boardwalk, easy stroll to the park. All rooms face the water and the views and sunsets are stunning. Big grounds to play on, with games, swings, volleyball, picnic tables and fire pits. Great place for kids. All rooms have decks or patios, most have kitchenettes. Across the street from shops and restaurants, grocery stores 2-3 minutes away by car. Very nice, helpful staff. Cons: Very noisy -- you can hear your neighbors quite clearly -- only thin wood and metal screening between decks. If they smoke, you smell it. Bathrooms are tiny -- about 6x6. Parking lot is messy, with discarded furniture and other junk. Rooms are inadequately lit -- weak overhead lights and only one 40-watt lamp by each bed. Despite these problems, I'd probably stay here again.

Loved my stay at the Sea Edge Motel. The rooms have been recently renovated, mine was clean and quiet and comfortable. You can’t beat the location! Right on the beach! Free parking and wifi and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

We've stayed here many times. The motel itself is old and almost hilariously outdated, but the location is top-notch! An amazing spot for kids and extended families. Staff are very nice and it's kept clean, just don't expect anything fancy, except of course the beautiful beach out your front door.

We love that it is right on the beach at Parksville and have stayed there many times. Only this time did we feel our room had not gotten a good clean..someones underwear in a drawer, coffee grounds in pot and beer cans on deck...minor but we did pay a high rate to stay. Will we come back...sure

This an old school motel no doubt about it. The rooms we had were not fancy by any means and certainly show wear and tear. If you are looking for the most ideal and fantastic location on a sandy beach at an affordable rate though.... this is a great place. We had our rooms full of people and no one bothered us at all. It is a very friendly place to stay with amazing beach access.

For over $400 for one night stay, hotel rooms were very old, beds were uncomfortable and bathroom was extremely small. Countertops old and worn and room door didn't close easily. Beautiful beach view however, but not worth the price

Stayed at Sea Edge on short notice and really enjoyed our time there. Great view, super helpful staff, a little smoke in the room migrating from the beachfront fire pits, but quiet and comfortable in the hottest weather of the year. We will be back.

I had paid $300 per nights for bugs, ants crawling through my walls, and my literal sleep parasite on my walls, and spiders; And for the funny joke guests who was in the lower level room, they played music at 12am-1am with very loud noises, talking loudly, TV loudly, then the motel manager just did nothing.
