Molto maleducata !

Great location. Quiet. Booked private room which was lovely.
There was no staff at reception ever but you could reach them quickly by phone.

Host was very kind and attentive to everyone's needs. Beds and facilities were clean and towels were provided too.

Clean, excellent facilities, good quality beds. Just lower beds and six bathrooms that are spacious and well equipped. They even throw in a towel and offer a hair dryer on loan. Excellent and very close to the Camino.

The LOCATION couldn’t be beat…We were initially skeptical as the area seemed a bit sketchy with graffiti and dilapidated buildings….BUT the hostel was clean, spacious and quiet( at the time of our stay). We arrived unannounced and called the number listed on the door. Jose met us and we were able to have an easy check in. Jose was accommodating and friendly!
We happen to be seasoned travelers and prefer the intimate nitty-gritty to the standard “hotel”. There is a “bar” attached to the hostel…El Porton…which is fairly new, eclectic and a fun scene. We totally loved our stay, the location and LUGO!!! Thank you, Jose, for accepting us and for a wonderful experience in your beautiful town!
We highly recommend and would love to return.
NOTE: It IS a hostel…we had the only private room with bath.
A bit chilly at night required asking for more blankets… certainly not a problem!

Everything is really good in this hostel. A lot of people to talk and the staff is amazing. The peregrinos are the best part of staying here.

Very new and modern and beautiful appearance. Although it was closed during my stay, the attached restaurant/bar looks absolutely stunning, and probably a great place to hang out.
I was charged twice, as with many booking.com reservations I've done over the past month in Spain. El Porton refused to do anything to correct it. This is in addition to many other issues, including with the lights (no switch to turn off the light in the dorm, had to open the utility panel just outside the room which was already propped open, and had a light switch dangling from the panel) and the very heavy smell of mold and dampness, and some other minor things.

The house is pretty, rooms are dry, clean and showers are perfect.
Friendly staff.
Perfect for 1-2 nights during Camino.
Beautiful living room.
No space to dry hiking clothes, shoes, raincoat! They have a room, but it makes them even more wet.

Modern clean and comfortable. Loved the single beds. Good location, close to good food places but nice and quiet. Very nice and friendly owner.
One small thing - the light sensor in the bathrooms can't tell when you are in the shower and so the lights keep going off which is a bit tricky.

too much noise from adjacent bar that was owned by same owner as hostel- noise until around 5 in the morning and light not turned off on hostel until midnight. all this distracted from otherwise good hostel.
