This is basically a B&B but in a Palace with historical connotations. Arrival is somewhat difficult without a key to the entry courtyard lift, where the "hotel"" itself is on the 2nd floor. The rooms are sumptuous, particularly the Breakfast room. However you are on your own for any other services.

Wonderful building, great location. Feel like royalty when staying

The room was a good size with nice touch of the minibar was included which has soft drinks and also beers and some snack food. The bathroom was rather small and dated and non-luxurious compared to the rest of the room.
The room was generally quiet as it was looking into the courtyard rather than onto the street.
Rest of the accommodation was also very luxurious with lots of chandeliers, billiard room and a bar/ reading room, all had a beautifully decorated interior . The highlight was the large breakfast room with the three chandeliers which made it an absolute gem of room with the beautiful painted ceiling with views out to the main road contrasting the serenity of the inside to the hussle of the outside.
Breakfast which runs between eight and 11am. A disappointing first experience, when we first arrived 9am on the first morning; and they had no scrambled eggs and had run out. It wasn’t just the eggs, a number of items needed to be replenished but was not. Highly disappointing, considering that they had another two hours, of breakfast to get through.
The coffee was at a good standard and generally the food was good at breakfast if adequately replenished once it ran out.

Staff were generally quite friendly. if you have a car, it would be an absolute nightmare to park anywhere around where the hotel is. I simply recommend using the metro and walking rather than having a car while staying here.
Highly recommend staying here to the interior and the grand tour of old Naples.
I would have given 5 stars but disappointed by the way breakfast on the first day was handled!

I strongly recommend staying at Palazzo Doria Napoli. The hotel is an experience unto itself. It was conveniently located (short taxi ride from the airport and to the central train station), including walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, and shopping. The rooms were incredibly clean, decadent, and stylish. The staff were responsive and offered helpful recommendations for dining, and navigating locally.

What an unbelievably SPECTACULAR hotel..it was like walking into a time warp and staying in a Palace from the 1700’s. And easy walking distance to most historical sites. We only wished we had stayed longer…

Spectacular boutique hotel in a palace. Gorgeous room. Excellent service. Easy check-in. The hotel employees went above and beyond to give us the history of this amazing place. Everything was perfect and we will definitely be back!!!

Very unique and beautiful property, a truly rare opportunity to feel like royalty:) excellent central location, the only major downside is that it’s extremely noisy, hotel is on the main road and above the metro

Where do I even begin?! The Palazzo Doria Napoli was a dream come true hotel to stay at. From the moment we entered though the gates my husband and I were transported back into time but in the most modern of ways. We ended our honeymoon trip here in Naples and this hotel was the cherry on top of our entire Italian trip. The opulence and luxury were breathtaking, the service from staff was noteworthy and the location was key! Thank you to the staff for our honeymoon upgrade, for the tour of this historical building and for opening up the kitchen earlier to allow us to have breakfast before our departure the next day. Our stay also included so many free amenities, including a fully stocked minibar. We just really felt taken care of and are so grateful for our experience here!

Very deceiving on it’s location; had a bad experience finding the place and trying to check in. We left after a couple of hours to another hotel!!

If you go to Naples, you must stay at the Palazzo Doria Napoli!! It’s like a mini Versailles, absolutely amazing. Our room had the most beautiful fresco on the ceiling, super high ceilings, a gorgeous bathroom, totally surpassed our expectations. The hotel is on the second floor of this grand old building. You will have to call when you are at the door and someone will come down and get you. Daniele was wonderful, and he makes great cappuccinos! Nice breakfast, too. We loved this place.

Amazing hotel, such a unique experience to stay in a real life palace. Honestly best hotel we’ve ever stayed at before

Amazing hotel. It is truly a palace.

This is not really a hotel. It is a bed and breakfast in an old, historic palace. The decor in our room was unusual and a bit uncomfortable from a North American perspective. However, good location and quiet. Frederica was very kind and helpful. You are close to the action, but removed from it!

Wonderful place, it’s a real palace. Manager Danilo and all his staff are the best. Outstanding rooms and service. Will definitely recommend and hope to come back.
