Lovely spacious, clean room. Very comfortable.

We were greeted by a very caring and helpful receptionist who explained everything we needed to know. A very clean room and ensuite. A comfy bed with the extra pillows, that were lovely and soft, that we always need - thank you. We will use this hotel again for our next theatre visit to Plymouth.

The stay at the Drake Hotel was a 5 star experience .Hotel was spotless and decor was beautiful.Reception staff were more than helpful have not experienced any better in any hotel.Room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was excellent very bright and plenty of space for all items
If breakfast is required you will not be dis-pointed full English cooked to perfection. All the staff are very pleasant and always greeted with a smile .Plenty of free parking so big bonus.Situated a short walk to the left for the Hoe and Barbican and right for the shops. Will definitely be staying again next time we are in Plymouth.

On site parking is limited, but on-street parking is available, but at a cost of around £10.

Well what a fabulous place to say. Super friendly staff and very comfortable beds. Rooms are very modern better than most national ones I have stayed in

Super friendly staff and a magnificent room to relax in when not out enjoying the city.

This hotel was very clean, the rooms (I booked two) were comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. In addition it is well placed for walking to dinner, shopping etc.

An excellent hotel I would definitely stay at again if I return to Plymouth

Car park at the front was full, double parked but we found another car park around the back with lots of spaces.
Unfortunately had quite a wait to check-in as receptionist was away from the desk and a queue had formed by the time she arrived.
We booked a superior room on the top floor which was quite a trek with heavy cases.
The room was old fashioned decor but smart and clean with tea and coffee facilities. Bed very comfortable and couldn't hear any noise from neighbouring rooms.
Breakfast was really good - great choice of fruit juices and lovely fruit cocktail along with cereals and toast. There was continental and a choice of cooked breakfasts too. They could probably do with more staff to serve as the waitress looked run off her feet but was very friendly and seemed to have everything under control.
We would definitely stay here again

First hotel room that I have stayed in that has no windows, otherwise room clean and modern, the room had an AC unit which was definitely needed

Helpful staff , easy to find, clean , excellent breakfast. Room nice and clean

Room was comfortable but not the cleanest. There were dirty marks around the toilet seat that could have easily been cleaned.
While having breakfast i left my table to get a coffee and returned to find that my breakfast which i had only half eaten had been removed.
No one available on reception to tell so sent an email with no reply, very dissapointing.

Very enjoyable stay, good breakfast, excellent staff, spotlessly clean and easy car parking.
Perfectly located between the town centre and the historic Hoe. Would definitely use the Drake again if in Plymouth.

Lovely small hotel in a great location. Receptionist was very friendly, room was clean and comfortable and the shower was brilliant. Breakfast was a little chaotic which is the only thing that let it down. Selection for continental was limited, no pastries, cheese, cold meat etc, just toast, cereal and canned fruit. You have to decide what you want the night before, yet the waitresses come to your table to take your order in the morning still.

Nice place but small room. Overall enjoyed the stay with lovely breakfast and great location with parking.

Fabulous stay.Really cant fault the hotel. Just what we wanted for our concert on the Hoe.
4.0
Nice place, good location, friendly staff, quiet room, nice breakfast. Only issue was the bed was very firm. Similarly the linen and bedding clean but not massively comfortable.

Everything about the hotel was good except in room 1 the view was a wall with a fire escape above it no view at all and this was an upgrade room 😟😟
6.0
Nice clean modern rooms but small, but to be expected. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful.
Only letdown was the parking situation. We booked this property because it stated free parking. Unfortunately only 12 or so spots. We checked in later in the day so had to pay another 20 UK pounds or so to park in the street. Really not happy about that situation. If I was running the place I would offer to cover the parking fees in the Theater Royal car park for the guests.

This was a lovely property. Stylishly refurbished, spacious and comfortable room in a house of the Georgian era. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay here, and would definitely book again if visiting the area in the future.

I stayed here with my young son. The team were lovely, all super helpful and very child friendly. The room was huge and very clean. The location is great as you can easily walk to town for shopping & restaurants or go in the other direction to the sea.
The breakfast was fab as you can order a hot breakfast or enjoy plenty of continental choices, which suited my son too.
10/10 - Deffo worth the stay!
