Could be great but too many issues
The good points are: * comfortable beds  * plenty of hot water * nice fluffy bath sheets * bedrooms on first floor were nicely decorated and furnished * great location * free onsite parking for 3 cars
The negatives were: * no meet & greet on arrival * no welcome pack on arrival * house freezing on arrival (heating working but took a while for house to warm up) * family bathroom shower head fixing holder broken * cleaning generally sub standard * toilet in family bathroom stained and needed descaling * toilet rolls needed in all 3 toilets * TV in main sitting room did not work properly * main sitting room did not have adequate comfortable seating if house were at full capacity * shoddy workmanship and finishing in most areas of the property * garden path covered in leaves making it very slippy Seating is an issue in this property and really needs addressing. There were only 4 in our party but the house is advertised to accommodate 6 people. Because the TV did not work in the main lounge we had to use the TV in the dining room. We moved chairs from the snug to the dining TV area so we could watch a movie together. We made it work but it was a very tight fit and would not have been possible with 6 people. This property relys heavily on its location at Bourton on the Water, a beautiful village in the Cotswolds. However, the cost is high end but without the high end care that one would expect at that price. Kimkeri lacked a cosy homeliness that we hope for and appreciate when we select a property. We would like to thank James (named contact for the property) who personally delivered the welcome pack (which was of excellent quality) and toilet rolls plus a bottle of prosecco as an apology. James also responded promptly to our texts with regard to TV. However, it is unlikely we would visit the property again in it's current state.

Could be so much better. Could also be much worse...
Great position - close to the centre. Nice walled garden and good parking. Very well equipped, everything you'd reasonably want is there. We liked the dining room / lounge with full-width patio doors to the garden. TV works well, with some sort of digital box or other, meaning you can get YouTube, UKTV Play etc. I stay in BOTW quite a lot, and usually the TV only has a few channels compared with home (in Cambs). The bedrooms are OK, especially the 2nd floor one with its shower room, and the central heating works fine. Most of the carpets seem new or newish. There was only me and my son staying, but I'd say there's plenty of room for 4 - 6.
Rather depends on what you're used to. In the motor trade, you'd say it'd had a quick blow-over. IE: It's been decorated for a quick turnover without too much attention to detail. It's a big place, and the helpful Victoria (who met us on arrival) has no chance of a proper clean between clients. It'd take me alone about a week to do it properly! On entry, the tiled kitchen floor looks dodgy (damaged rather than dirty) and gives a poor impression. Pity, as the kitchen's OK otherwise (except the dead flies etc on top of the cupboards). The hall floor is an old-fashioned tiled affair. Not my thing, but fair enough, except for the dodgy repair near the front door. The bottom sheet in 'my' first floor bedroom had some ancient blood staining, which wasn't great. The adjacent bathroom has a shower-over-bath, but its's difficult to use as the fitting is broken (dirt cheap to fix), balancing the hot and cold (combo bath and shower taps) is tricky, and the bath is sloped at each end. At my age, I found showering tricky, albeit I managed it! I should mention I had to use the hoover on the bathroom floor as there were some remnants of the last guest on the floor (I won't go into detail). The toilet itself is also stained (or past it), but flush is good. I hate to do negative reviews, and there's more I could say. I'll clarify that we've stayed in several houses in BOTW, and most were a lot rougher than this one. Owners seem to rely on the fabulous village that it is for repeat business. Personally, I wouldn't stay here again, sorry to say.

Wouldn’t stay again
We booked a stay here for 2 nights however we had to leave earlier due to food poisoning from a nearby pub. I informed the host that we will be leaving earlier and if it was possible to have a refund for the second night as we didn’t stay however they was not able to help and didn’t offer a refund. As we arrived the kitchen was dirty including the kitchen sink and floors. We informed they when we left and had to clean the floors and kitchen ourselves. They said they wouldn’t do anything as we didn’t inform them as we arrived. I felt the customer service was quite cold and there was no resolution or even a refund given someone from our party got food poisoning so it ruined the trip. Lastly, I think we have left a charger at the property and I’ve been messaging the host but no respond at all regarding the charger and if we can have it back. Overall, I would say the location is great but cleanliness and customer service was not the best.
