Quaint beach themed cottage about one hour from London, Ontario along Lake Huron. Steps from the lake.
Two bedrooms, 3 pc bath, full kitchen and living room area. Two outdoor flagstone patio/eating areas, fire-pit and a barbecue.
The cottage has two bedrooms. Both equipped with double sized beds, kitchen has full size appliances, fridge, stove and microwave. The bathroom is a 3 piece with shower and the hot water tank can only wash one human at a time, reheat time is 20 minutes.
For those who love to stay Fit - The stairs to the Beach - 92 down and 92 up... Potential for a great work-out!
Lake Huron is steps away. Lake Huron water levels are the highest in years. Beach sand is available specifically on the days where the wind is not coming off the lake. Grand Bend, Ontario beach is 30 minutes away; it can get quite crowded *but can be a lot of fun!* and you must pay for parking. Highland Glen Conservation Area is about 5 minutes walking from my cottage. There is a boat launch ramp (currently closed due to high water levels) and a public beach (with sand) picnic area and public restrooms, pets allowed... You can actually walk to it from my place along the water
I have a kayak and there is Paddle Board and Kayak rentals at Beach Bums about 20 minutes away.

This whimsical cottage was well appointed, very comfortable and a lovely oasis for our week away. It had everything we need. Brigette was accommodating and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend it and hope to return in the future.

Very much enjoyed this quaint little cottage and outdoor space - multiple touches of whimsy!
The walk to the beach was like a step back in time as many cottages are 75+ yrs old. The neighbourhood and beach were very quiet.
I hope to get back again next year for a longer stay!

The cottage owner is easy to communicate with and has thought through every detail of the cottage decor and comfort. Self check in was easy. The bed was comfortable. The cottage guide was helpful. I could see a bit of the sunset from the front lawn but it was better to walk for about 2 minutes to the top of either set of steep stairs that lead to the private beach. No need to go down the stairs. View is gorgeous from the top. Her guide describes how to find the stairs.
Due to a family emergency, I had to leave early, so didn't explore the area much but did have a good experience and excellant club sandwich in the town of Forest at a diner called 'The Barking Forest.' Several restaurants have closed for good in Forest.
I will definitely rent the cottage again.

Nice little cottage with a great outdoor space. It had everything we needed it to have as a small family gathering place. The beach is beautiful and sandy after a couple feet of large slippery rocks.
The neighbours were a little loud running power tools and listening to music but this lasted only briefly.

A lot of time and effort went in to every aspect of this stay. A talent of making something old new again. So pleasing to the eye. A short drive to beautiful beach. Just what we were looking for.

We loved our stay for the month at this rustic cozy cabin. The location was perfect for us being close to all the places we wanted to
visit. We loved sitting in the back yard relaxing & enjoyed sitting
around the fire pit. The area was very quiet & was close to the beach area of Lake Huron.
We felt very much in touch with nature there with all the squirrels
running around, Monarch butterflies, crickets & the spider webs.
Great stay, would recommend it.

Cutely decorated little getaway in a quiet neighborhood with all the basics and only about 1000 feet to the lake.

We had a wonderful time at this cute little rustic cottage. It had old charm, with a rustic chic beachy theme:) I loved the light fixtures in every room, the colour was very inviting and calming in each room. Outside hosted a nice backyard with a fire pit which we were lucky enough to get use out of and a couple of rustic out buildings. I bet during spring and summer months the yard and gardens look amazing! You could also hear the noise of beautiful Lake Huron and could get a view standing out front of this cottage...the water is only steps away! The owner of this property was a delight to communicate with, answering all questions quite promptly. I would definitely recommend this property if you’re looking for a peaceful time away:)

Loved this place, the lake is amazing and countryside was just what we were looking for.
It was relaxing and comfortable , and aside from the spiders, it was clean and stylish.
The decor made me feel welcome and free to dream ♡

My family and I really enjoyed our time at Brigitte's "beachy" cottage. The woodsy setting was so "artsy" and enchanting that each day we would discover a stone figurine or an awesome wooden carving that we'd missed the day before. My grandchildren were especially enchanted with the 2 "resident" toads who occupied one of the beautiful wild flower areas in the yard (and yes, these toads were real). The little ones also loved the hanging swing at the front of the property. The cottage itself was a mere 20-30 minute drive from many other summer attractions, like Ipperwash Beach and Sarnia's Canatara Park. We enjoyed riding the waves at Ipperwash Beach and visiting the blue flag beach and wonderful petting zoo at Canatara Park. Brigitte's cottage was a welcome and relaxing get-a-way for us all... an amazing escape from the crazy pace of life in the city.
Thanks Brigitte,
Sharon Wrighton and family
