About this house rental
Ahoy, land-ho! Gorgeous getaway destination ahead! Come visit La Casa Delphine: an elegant 3-bedroom waterfront haven, tucked away in the exotic habitats of North Captiva. No passport needed for up to 6 guests to escape the crowds, cars and bustling chaos of the mainland. This 3 story beach house offers a full kitchen and adjacent dining and living spaces, the master suite with accompanying bathroom & balcony, 2 upstairs bedrooms - one with queen and a fun 2 twin bedroom. There is abundance of windows, providing elemental views. Our favorite is the private harborside sitting porch. Recently renovated in 2018, fully prepared to host your vacation. New appliances, beautiful islandic atmosphere, AND included accoutrements for your trip… total #beachvibes.
What is La Casa Delphine? Well, it translates to the Dolphin House – and for good reason! Though the HOA mandates no in-home pets are allowed to accompany, you’ll find fishy friends along the harbors and docks. Immerse yourself in the oasis, where dolphins play and manatees graze. Traverse the various nature-filled hiking trails, or use the fat tire bikes provided. Roam the stretches of intimate, white sandy beaches. The surrounding waters of the Gulf of Mexico offer many activities – paddle the canals in kayaks (complete with life vests), rent jet skis, fishing charters, cast a line, hunt for shells & treasures with snorkel gear, venture out to meet a pod of porpoise pals!
How will you find us? If not a Florida native, we suggest you fly into RSW Fort Myers, FL, drive or taxi to Pineland Marina, Pine Island, FL. This exclusive island is only accessible by water or air – private aircraft, boat, or Island Girl Ferry (approx. 30 min scenic ride). You can BYOB (Bring your own boat!) or rent a vessel, on the island’s private boat slip($25 daily fee). A guide will escort you to your Casa upon arrival, and can direct you around the island.
How will you get around? Your stay includes a 6-passenger club car, an electric golf cart to transport you from place to place. You can also go by bike or by foot, the island is at most only 4 miles long! You and your guests will have granted access to the Safety Harbor Club – offers a heated swimming pool, tennis courts pickleball, look-out towers, outdoor gazebo, private wharf, fishing pier, and ice machine.
What will you eat? Groceries can be taken with you on the ferry, or ordered delivered right to your villa (w/fee). The Mango’s Store offers the island’s grocery and convenience items. The Mainstay Upstairs offers delicious ice cream, gifts and specialty food items. Barnacles Bar, Bar & Grill at Mango’s, and the Waterfront restaurant (guests get priority seating!) are fabulous island options for some fresh fare. There is also a fine dining option, the Boathouse, for the fancier occasions.
What else will our Casa provide? Along with the aforementioned kayaks, there will be fat-tire bikes, beach chairs, floats, outdoor gas grill, wifi access & DirectTV. The ground floor garage has a utility room with washer and dryer. Home will be stocked with toiletries, linens and first aid materials. Not to mention the priceless and unique view of each sunrise and sunset, free of charge. The adventure and activities are endless – amazing memories to be made, fresh seafood to be had, untethered nature to explore, marine wildlife to see, sweet ocean breeze to smell, sun kisses to feel. Do not wait to dream about it tomorrow, when you could plan your getaway today!

We could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish. The location was perfect and the host and his team were first class. If you are looking for a beautiful townhome in a perfect location don't look any further than here!

I cannot say enough great things about this property!
1. Host and property representatives - AMAZING communication
2. Amazing views - even saw dolphins swimming from sitting on the screened in porch and while kayaking on the 2 kayaks provided. Launched them right in front of the house.
3. Golf Cart was great for exploring the island
4. Home is clean and packs a punch! Everything we needed was there. Decorated just perfect. Kitchen was well stocked. Screened in porch was great, especially on a rainy day. The master even had a king bed which was a nice surprise as the listing stated 2 queens!
5. Getting to the island made us nervous taking a ferry and having groceries delivered, but with the help of the host - it was so easy! We ordered groceries to be delivered to the ferry from Fresh Picked Groceries. SUPER EASY! It's more expensive, however there is one little store on the island and while it has SOME things - they are very expensive.
6. We ordered a seafood boil from Chef Becca. She brought it over on the ferry (which docks within a stones throw from the house) and we picked it up!
7. Had dinner at Over the Waterfront which is right in front of the home. Great food! Just have to make sure you make a reservation (they are only open limited hours)
8. The island is still recovering from the hurricane, but that did not stop us from having a great time. The island is still beautiful and lots to do! Was a perfect week to relax with friends. We will definitely be back!

I can’t say enough positive things about David and Ashley and the property manager, Jenny! David was a trooper with our MANY questions prior to booking and then prior to heading to the island. The house was clean and comfortable. There were enough decorations to feel homey but not too much that there wasn’t a spot to put my own things. The beds are comfortable. The water pressure was great on my thick hair. There were plenty of towels. The microwave/air-fryer was terrific! We did all our own cooking and the kitchen was adequate. They have good knives and plenty of cutting boards. The location is central to the best sunrise place, a good beach, and walking or driving to Mangos. We ordered groceries through Debbie (she’s on the app) and did ferry pick up. It was easy. We took advantage of all of the amenities at the house. We used the kayaks daily (if they’re dirty from disuse, turn the water nozzle on the hose to full blast and they clean up easily). There was a problem with one of the bikes and David and Ashley set us up with a loaner. We saw dolphins daily and manatees frequently. People on the island are friendly and helpful. I would stay here again without hesitation.

I would recommend this property if you are looking for that get away from the hub-bub and want to spend serious family time with your friends and loved ones. It had enough room for my family of 5 along with all the kitchen staples necessary to cook with ease. David, the owner, has thought of everything and provided beach towels, beach shelter and the like. Jenny, the property manager and Gage were always quick to respond to a question or need.
North Captiva has limited resources on the island primarily due to the rebuild of the devastation from Hurricane Ian and what was open had limited options in restaurants, groceries and things to do. The weather was not as warm as we would have liked but it did not limit the activities we chose to do (beach, pickleball, kayak and swim in the heated pool and drive around exploring the island in the 6 person golf cart provided).
If you want to get away for a few days or longer you will not be disappointed with La Casa Delphine with its harbor views from the screened in porch and the possibilities of seeing dolphins and manatees with a few minute walks from the property!
Also, take Island Girl Ferry - dock to dock fast reliable service!

We had such a great stay at this townhome! It had everything we needed. We biked, kayaked, fished, and used the 6 person cart to get to the pool and the beach. We loved the view from the porch especially in the mornings. We saw manatees, dolphin, turtles, and loads of fish. Jenny was an excellent host greeting us when we arrived and helping us to get acclimated. We can’t wait to return!!

The townhouse was very clean. The location was quiet and beautiful very close to the water. There was a lot of natural wildlife which was awesome. We loved using the kayaks and hanging out with the manatees. Gorgeous sunrise and sunsets. We biked and walked in the nature preserve everyday which is lovely. Jennifer the property manager is the absolute best! Jennifer was always a text away if we had any questions or problems. Gage is wonderful too he was very prompt and professional when we had some tire issues. There is still debris on the Island but we had the expectation of this and it did not hinder our experience. We also loved the golf cart especially that it fit 6 people.

This was a very relaxing getaway with my husband. The townhouse was very clean and had just about everything we needed besides a few minor things, but it sounds like David, the owner, will be taking care of that. We even ran out of water not knowing the Mangos store on the island would be closed from the hurricane and David was kind enough to give us some of his own. Both David and Jenny (the property manager) we're very responsive to any of our needs. The communication and stay was fantastic aside from the hurricane damage. I highly recommend.
