We required a place to stay for a few days that would fit not only my wife and I, but a few friends traveling with us; five adults in total. Though cozy, we never felt crowded. The house is conveniently located within walking distance of the shore (including a 10 minute walk from at least one lighthouse, three eating establishments (we enjoyed dinner at The Bell Rock Tavern, and take away from the Besties Chippy at the corner), with a Co-Op market on the same block. The owner was communicative, gracious in allowing us to check in anytime that day, and even offered basic groceries (milk, etc).

It was perfect for us as we were visiting family in Tayport but couldn’t stay with them.
It would be a good place to stay for anyone wanting to visit Dundee and St Andrews, as both are very close by. We would use this property again

Lovely size, very clean property. There was everything you could need there including cookery books. Easy to find and very convenient for both St Andrews and Dundee.

We have been coming to this area once or twice a year for 23 years. My son and his family, live in the area. We are from the United States. We prefer the self catering rather than the bed and breakfast type places because we are jet lagged and tend to sleep in. We also don’t eat a large breakfast. So this type of stay allows us to not bother our family and we have all the comforts of home. It also serves as a home base so we can have day trips and have a place to come back to and rest. We also love the pubs close by. Also the restaurant at Cobbies the Kitchinn, has fantastic food! Also the Harbour Cafe! The only con we would have to say is that we were chilly most of the time we were there. There were directions by the thermostat but we couldn’t seem to turn the heating up. It was a cooler than normal cold spell. Even with that we would happily stay here again. Just maybe bring your slippers and an extra fleece. All in all it is a lovely place!

Lovely cottage with everything that you need and really comfy beds.
An information book on local amenities, walks and places to visit would be a great addition.

This is a cracking property and surpassed our expectations. Very well equipped inside and in the garden. We felt safe and it really was a home from home. We stayed here because it was close to our family. Tayport is a very lovely place to stay in.

Great property for a larger family or group and great location. Would be really nice to take advantage of the back garden in warmer weather. Would definitely stay again.

Three of us had a most enjoyable stay in the cottage. It is a very comfortable and attractive property. We were impressed by how clean it was and how well it was equipped, particularly the kitchen. All the beds were very comfortable.
The cottage is well positioned for cycle routes especially in Tentsmuir Forest and is handy for Dundee northwards.
We would be happy to come to this
cottage again and would recommend it to others.
