About this apartment rental
If you want a taste of traditional Puglian lifestyle, it’s not just about fantastic wines, juicy olives, and fresh Italian herbs. While flavours are in abundance, the modern-day region is starting to see less and less of its classic architecture – the trullo. The village of Alberobello offers the region’s finest examples of such buildings, with dry stone masonry, conical roofs, and limestone walls, but just a thirty-minute drive away, you can stay in your very own.
But there's a twist. This home is not a rural museum, but a wonderfully luxurious villa in the countryside. It has a striking extension built on from the original trullo, all the way to a modern verandah, and onwards to the edge of the saltwater infinity pool. We can’t think of any better place to sip negronis than the patio and poolside terraces, especially with the heady scents of olive groves and flowers in the air.
When you need a moment to escape from the Mediterranean sun, the stone interiors will keep you cool. In the rustic kitchen, you can prepare a fresh caprese salad and pour yourself a Puglian white while you admire vintage furnishings. Take your glass with you as you explore the intriguing shape and layout of this unique villa, soaking up the atmospheres from history and modernity.
