Incredible staff, thank you Carolina and Valentina for making our stay so wonderful.

Everything, from location, the room and breakfast was perfect. The room was very well cleaned, the pool and surroundings are very nice. Staff was very helpful and responsive. For us just perfect.

Fantastic property, rooms, service/staff, pool area and great breakfast. We were a family of 4 that stayed in the junior suite room, sleeping two adults + one 5 year old in the main bed and 2 year old in a cot (that was available without any additional cost). In this room it was also an option to pay for preparing the sofa bed for sleeping. Our room had direct access to pool area. During a very warm period in Florence area, this was a perfect stay for us, a bit outside of the city of Florence.
A few notes:
- Possible to order in food in / take away (great for us having small children going to bed early).
- You will need a car for a flexible stay here. Approx. 15 min by car to Florence.
Not much to note, but certain rules were a bit inflexible. We were not allowed to eat / drink food in large areas of the property (both indoors and outdoors). This even though the what you could buy to eat at the property was quite limited, and there was a lot of different sections with seating and tables around. This is a small change that would make the stay much more flexible for us and increase the impression further, especially travelling with kids.

outstanding venue, real confort
From Bagno a Ripoli to Florence downtown the journey is not that easy. It takes more than 40 minutes to cover 10 km or so.

This is a lovely villa approximately 25 mins by car from Florence. Well situated to explore the surrounding Tuscan countryside and villages.
A nice breakfast was included.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful advising us the best sightseeing in the area.
Unfortunately the dining room was closed except for breakfast. We also could not sit out by the pool for a drink or in any of the lounge areas. All food and drinks had to be consumed in our rooms. Crockery and cutlery were provided reluctantly to enable this.
We had expected services as per were advertised on the website.

Beautiful villa. Great and friendly service.
Had to adjust to nothing to visit or eat within walking distance. Once we started taking taxis to/from
Florence we had a great time.
Ciao!

Very cozy and authentic
The AC in the loft room do not make enough cooling for the higher part of the room. this maybe an issue during some summer days

Amazing!
Google maps navigation is wrong and should be changed. We have discussed with the owner and he already asked Google few times, however no action made by Google so far. So this is nothing negative towards Villa is Sasso, it's a negative comment towards Google and maybe Booking.com could help.

Villa il Sasso is simply great!
Location is nice, the villa itself is beautiful, rooms are large and comfortable and both the owner and staff are very kind and helpful. Also breakfast is exceptional.
It was my 5th stay and this place and when in the region Villa il Sasso will always be my first choice!

We loved everything: from the location to the little details that were taken care of. Our room was very spacious and had a huge nicely furnished bathroom with amazing views to the hills.
The staff was friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Luca for arranging our first dinner at a local restaurant after our arrival and for being very kind and responsive to all our needs.
The atmosphere of this 14th century villa is classy, it really brings you back to a different time dimension. The relais has only 7 not adjacent rooms which makes it amazing for people like us who look for peace, quiet, amazing views together with a good service and comfort. Amazing place, we will be back!

This place is a little Gem, Just 15 mins drive from central Florence. It really is a fabulous place to really relax away from the hectic city center. The Staff were superb, so so helpful. The breakfast is delicious and a great variety of food on offer. I couldn’t recommend a place more highly.
There was nothing to dislike.

Great place, full with history. Great food and in general conditions. Nice pool with great view.

We loved everything about our stay. The beautiful grounds, the nostalgic and decadent interior and most of all the helpful and friendly staff. The location is perfect as a base to get both into Florence and the Tuscan hills. Very close to the Autostrada, we easily made day trips to Pisa, Modena and around Chianti. Can't recommend this place enough!

The location is great, very calm and picturesque.
It is very close to Florence.
The villa’s garden is very nice & authentic furniture, accessories inside.
There is no restaurant or snack bar in the villa. You can have only breakfast and lunch upon request. So we had to plan every meal outside the villa which was an incovinient for us.
You can not prepare your own food neither.
They should have informed guests before arrival.

The breakfast was very good and the hotel was very clean
It did not have any restaurant in the hotel

Beautifully located on a hill, overlooking the valley. Out of town, but still very close to Florence by car. The rooms are very spacious and cozy, the bed is super comfortable, the interior is wonderful and some rooms have an amazing view! Great breakfast, nice pool area, very friendly and helpful staff! Would come again!
In the outside area, you can hear the close-by highway. Driving up to the property is quite steep and can be a bit challenging with a big car. The tiles of the bathroom floor are peeling off.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. They recommended and booked us our restaurants which were all fantastic places that we would have never found ourselves. Thank you!

Beautiful place, very clean room, very friendly and helpful staff! It was a very nice stay
The blinds couldn’t be closed fully, the curtains help but some light still comes in with the sunrise.
Just a note for the people using google maps, use the address instead of the name of the hotel as otherwise google brings you to a wrong location

What a wonderful place with gorgeous views, relaxing atmosphere, tasty breakfast and the most helpful and friendly of staff! The bed is comfortable and the suite was spacious and spotless clean. The accommodation is close to Florence as well as to surrounding wineries. We spent our days walking in the surrounding hilly areas and by the pool, and took the car each afternoon to a winery followed by dinner and some sightseeing in Florence. It was a great combination of pool, hiking and city experience, and we would very much recommend staying at the hotel, especially to those who like the calmness of a resort (that’s the vibe of the hotel). We would without doubt stay here again! Five stars ⭐️
