I was shocked the minute I entered the room, the room is really small and outdated .. it is really highly priced for it’s condition, the fan grill in the washroom was super disgusting the towel dryer was rusted , outlets were loose so you had to actually support the sockets to keep charging…

Our stay at the hotel was very nice. We had a quadruple room and it was large and comfortable. The hotel is close to the train station which is nice if you are traveling by train. The hotel is located a few blocks away from the extremely touristic areas of town, which was nice. However, there are several restaurants and shops close by. I would definitely stay there again

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Convenient to major attractions but not right in the hub. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

The room we had are huge if you’re travelling with kids and even friends. So much space. Quite and accesible to everything. 5mins walk to market which I loved.

This property was very nice. Great location to walk to every tourist attraction except for Vatican City. The rooms were a bit small, but they were accommodating and gave our family of 4 (4 adults) 2 separate rooms.

Wonderful place. Massimo at check in was so nice and gave us an upgrade at no additional cost. Nice hotel. Would definitely stay again!

Good hotel for a couple of nights and close to the train station

Very spacious room, which is rare in Europe. Updated bathroom. The restaurant next door is amazing.

Two pillows per person would have been very nice

Hotel is a good value for the money. It is spacious, safe and comfortable. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and a 10-20 minute walk to most of the major sites in Florence. The Hotel St. James is across from a park filled with Linden Trees that perfume the park in the evening. I would recommend it to family and friends.

There was a large amount of mold in the ceiling which was our main concern but just know the photos that are posted on the site are NOT what is actually there ! Also one bed had no sheets and when we asked for sheets the guy at the desk was sooooo rude and wanted to know why we had not told him earlier??? Definitely would NOT advise anyone to stay at this property !!

Our AC didn't work at 10.30pm. But the service was awesome! The receptionist still managed to call the technician, called back & forth until the AC finally worked again! So, thanks so much again for that awesome help so late in the night!
The hotel shares a parking with another hotel, about 5 minutes to walk - absolutely good. The location is awesome! Within 10 minutes you're in the middle of the old town!

Service was nonexistent. The condition of the properly was very rundown and not clean. The staff were very rude. Would never stay here or recommend it to anyone.

The inside is bland and utilitarian, like walking into an apartment building, not a hotel. The front desk is on the second level. No welcoming greeting from the staff. We paid the tax and were given a key. There was no mini fridge and were told by another staff member none of the rooms had them, however our friend’s room did. A sign in the room said they offered a continental breakfast but when asked about it he said no breakfast. It’s a room with a bed and bathroom. It was more like a hostel than a hotel. The room was clean but the hallway had dirty glasses in it and some other debris. Upon check out we turned in the sign advertising their continental breakfast as they may want to remove it from the room. The man offered breakfast at their sister hotel a block away which should have been mentioned beforehand. We checked out of our prepaid room and went downstairs to wait and the man ran downstairs calling out that we didn’t pay and demanded we come up to look at his record. I had the receipt showing we paid and had to physically point out my name on his record showing we paid but he kept saying the room number we were in was not paid for. I had to explain to him a few times that the man on the desk who checked us in gave us the key to our room, we had no control over the room he assigned and it clearly shows paid next to my name on his records. He had difficulty understanding they mixed up our rooms and our friends who stayed in the other room had to pay not us.

Massimo was awesome. Gave me two dining recommendations and they were the best meals I had in Florence!

While this accommodation was within walking distance of the train station and all the sites, overall it was very basic. It was extremely noisy, potentially a school excursion was staying in the same accomodation, the bathroom facilities were quite tight and the bed was uncomfortable.

This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Similar to other European properties, the outer door leads to a shared interior space. Reception is on the second floor. The staff was very kind and helpful and allowed to us to leave our bags before check-in time and provided us with a map of the city. Our room was spacious and clean. The room had an AC unit as well and it overlooked a little courtyard. Very pleasant stay.

Great find in Florence. Big room, modern bath, elevator, secure entrance. Good deal.

Great little stay . Location great

We booked it at the same day we did a check in, may be that’s a reason we got a very old room with walls cracks and old furniture. 145 euro is a too high price for a room like that.

Great location. Big room for our family of four. AC worked great. Room was a little dated but overall worked great for our two days that we stayed. Front desk staff were very personable and allowed us to store luggage for free on day of check out. Would definitely come stay again.

Very good location, super easy to walk to the station and several museums and famous places of the city.

Quite a decent size room with a spacious bathroom. The location of the hotel is close to the central station, leather market, main attractions and food places. Good breakfast places around as well as mini marts. Bus stop is close by as well. Friendly staff and the room had all basic amenities.

Quiet, clean and an easy walk to anything.

Room furnishing a little spare but functional/ could have used a small refridgerator. Window effectively soundproofed against bus traffic on Via Ventisette. Nice continental breakfast buffet, though unexpected to charge on top of room fee for it. biggest complaint was the lack of clear signage at the entry door, arrows were confusing and unclear that we were seeking small buzzer.

The hotel area of Florence is amazing. Everything you want to see and do is no more than 2-3km away. You will be walking because parking and traffic is terrible. Hotel parking is properly but very close. The rooms are old and workout, but for this price in this area of Florence, was a good deal.

The room was very old and the bathroom was very dangerous.

Centrally located, walking distance to all major sites. Very basic but clean. Hotel is on the second floor of a building. Over-priced for how basic it is but also visited during a busy time in Florence so not much choice.

Good location, overall good experience, and excellent customer service for reception staff.

I loved the location of this property but was very disappointed in the hotel itself. When we got in, it looked like an abandoned building. We went up the extremely claustrophobic elevator and finally got to our room. The toilet bowl was loose, and every time I sat it felt like it was going to fall over. With every flush the toilet also sprayed water, and the shower was also leaking. We asked for the hotel to fix it, and they said yes, but nobody came. They said the next day that because it was Sunday nobody could come. We had to ask to move to a different room, which they agreed to. Our next room was much more functional and we appreciated them moving us, but we felt pretty disappointed that we still had to go through the inconvenience.
