A gorgeous, classic B&B with stunning views. The family who runs the property is so kind and welcoming, and were incredibly helpful! the rooms were large and clean, with gorgeous antique touches and hardwood floors. A pool table/games and shallow swimming pool out back (with a play structure for children) make for a relaxing day/night should you choose to stay in, with mountains views all around. Oh and the pizzeria below (run by the same family) gave us some of the best pizza we’ve ever had! This has been my favourite stay in Italy by far!
a little far from town- but a lovely walk with gorgeous views!

Breakfast was a classic continental style buffet, with bread, pastries, fresh fruits, ham / salami. To drink there was also a wide selection of fruit juices, as well as the option of tea or coffee. The breakfast room itself was also fantastic.
Corrado and the other staff were wonderfully kind and helpful, and always smiling.
The pizzeria in the cellar of the B&B serves absolutely phenomenal pizza, definitely the best we had in Bellagio, and it was such a relief to have something right at our doorstep that was of such quality. We even did "takeout" one night, and brought the pizzas up to our room -- on checking my receipt, I realised that from the time I placed the order, to the time I got back to the room with the food, only SEVEN minutes had passed! The pizza uses real sourdough too, and even the most basic "Margherita" is extremely memorable.
The only downside for this place for us was the location. Google says it's a 30 minute walk into the town, which is true, but it ignores the gradient of the climb, and the poor quality of the old cobbled path. If you can, I would recommend renting car for the trip, because we found it impossible to get a taxi / uber, and the nearest bus comes only 3-5 times per day, with the last one returning around 8 pm. This meant after every meal in the town, we were faced with a long, tough walk up the hill, with plenty of opportunities to roll your ankle, especially if you were wearing something open-toed.
This combined with the temperatures during our stay (pretty much always hovering around 30 Celsius) made it practically impossible for us to say, go for a swim in the lake in the afternoon, and then come back up to change for dinner.
Thankfully, on arrival, the wonderful Corrado was kind enough to pick us and our bags up from the ferry in his car; but as he happened to be out when we checked out, the walk down with our bags was pretty intense, and certainly not the most relaxing way to end a holiday.
We are both under 30 and relatively active, but this walk will definitely linger in our memory of the trip!

Large room not really suitable for two friends as it had one double bed and only a narrow bed in a side annex with no curtains or blinds for the other person.
One unpleasant member of staff (owner?)

This was an amazing place to stay in Bellagio! Everyone there was fantastic, the location was tucked away, but not too far. The breakfast was amazing and a great way to start the day.

Very old property which has its charm but also downside. Needs love. Gorgeous views though and location is OK if you followed the stone footpath to town. The restaurant across the street, I think it’s called Buena Vista, was amazing. The views and food were great.

Friendly service. Quirky converted villa. Breakfast with a view

The room was good and clean. The location of the B&B was beautiful. From the room you could see the lake and the sunset.
Besides the room, the owner is kind and is also having a delicious pizza restaurant in the B&B.
The breakfast is in a restaurant down the road. From this restaurant you also have an amazing view. The breakfast is savory or sweet.
The pool is not ‘inviting’.

The hosts are very friendly! We stayed in a wonderful room with balcony. The interior really gives you a feeling of staying in a genuine and personal Italian home, and that makes this B&B a memorable stay. The room was very clean and was cleaned and restocked every day. Beds were also good. Breakfast is also very nice. We can definitely recommend staying here! The walk to Bellagio centre was better than expected, having read previous reviews. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Alla Torreta was a perfectly comfortable property for our trip to Bellagio. We loved the old villa it was set in, and the incredible views of the mountains from the room. While slightly out of town, we liked that this meant a walk back after all the pizza and pasta meals! And also allowed us to see a new part of town. Thanks!
