Our large group of 13 all enjoyed the property and the views were just spectacular. Plenty of rooms to accommodate large gatherings. The owner was very accommodating and took great care of us. If you have a chance to enjoy their special meal, you will be in for a special treat, as we really enjoyed the food. Just be mindful, the villa is near the top of the mountain, and the drive up can be challenging, and is not for the faint of heart. Other than the drive up, we would definitely recommend this to others.

My family and I loved our Tuscan experience , from the views , food , winding roads , hair pin turns , aggressive drivers ! Such a great adventure we embraced the Italian experience hook , line and ,sinker ! Enjoyed the shopping ,wine , and especially our host Franco and his wife cooking us a great Italian dinner antipasto, bruschetta, liver pate , tuna , fresh pasta ,pork , dessert ! Best meal ever ! Fresh tart and Prosecco on arrival ! The accommodations were amazing and even handicap accessible! Grazie,Grazie, Grazie

Franco, the host couldn’t have been more friendly. He was readily available at all times. The house is situated in the hills, with stunning views and a lovely pool. The location is ideal, we took day trips to Siena, Spello, Arezzo etc. We had such a wonderful time! We will return, thank you so much, Franco.

12 adults 2 teenagers 4 primary aged children 4 pre school children and 2 babies enjoyed every minute! The opportunity to have time together and individual family space enabled a happy time for all. Franco could not have been more helpful and sensitive to our various needs! A bonus ( for the adults) was the sumptuous feast we enjoyed prepared by Franco and his wife! The track to the house is a little challenging which dissuaded any of us from nipping out! We did discover everything we needed in Mercatale therefore there was only one huge shopping trip in the week. And ..... Cortona has the best gelati in Italy .

Franco was a wonderful host. We had an amazing week on the property. Everything was as described and the area is breathtaking. Far up in the mountains so quite a ride to go grocery shopping and to do sightseeing but other then that it is perfect . I recommend the chef night, it was delicious !!!

Where do I start, this is a fantastic villa in a stunning location and Franco the owner was the perfect host for our group of 17 adults and 1 child celebrating our time in Italy. Set at the end of a long dirt track high in the hills the location is very remote, quiet and perfect if you are looking to get away from everything. The apartments and rooms are all large and very well equipped with everything you will need. If you are a big group like us there is options for communal eating inside, and if the weather is good you can move the long table outside and have breakfast on the courtyard, Tuscany style. Nothing was to much trouble for Franco, he even drove to his friends house for me and collected a fire pit so we could all sit out one evening and enjoy a BBQ and fire. On Friday night we asked for a chef to cook some local food for us and to my surprise, Franco his wife and Daughter turned up and provided us a feast we will never forget, served in a separate room at the back of the villa and big enough for a party like ours, he even threw in plenty of local wine to keep us going all night. It was too cold to use the pool, but from what I can tell in the summer months this would be a great place to relax in beautiful surroundings on one of the many sun beds. I cannot recommend Franco’s villa enough and we will definitely be returning if we get the chance.
