My family had a great stay at "Limey". The house is clean, comfortable, and true to the listing. You cannot beat the proximity to Elberta Beach!

We had a great time at "Limey". House was in walking distance to Lake Michigan, Furnace Street Distillery and the Cabbage Shed. Loved how the house was decorated and everything was clean. It was a hot week so very much appreciated all the fans that were running when we got there.

Really enjoyed this well appointed and artistically decorated home. This is a beautiful part of MI. Enjoyed neighboring Frankfort too. Will Return.

The house was full of spiders and webs. The back , front porch and chairs were filthy. Needs a power wash. The listing stated a satalit tv, but did not work. Windows did not have screens. The trash area needs trimming to make it more accessible. If this is the tesult of 6 hpurs of cleaning, I would find another service. Did not clean ondet anything, only traffic areas. I usually do not submit such comments but felt I needed to let you know. We renter the Limey 4.5 years ago and it was great. So it was a bit disappointing this time. Thank you for your ear. Be well.

Easy walk to the beach, park, distillery and cabbage shed. It wasn’t clear there is not wifi but fine cell service. Nice place and comfy! Great spot to spend a long weekend up north!

The house was everything that was needed. A block from two different parks and a block from the Lake. A short walk from the Lake Michigan Shoreline. House was clean and in a quiet setting which made for a great nights sleep. Will look to see if this is available again for my next trip to NW Michigan!

Liked being on the south side of Betsie Lake/Bay. Elberta is small but for us was perfect. Some traffic passes by the home due to Elberta Beach, the Furnace Street Distillery and a nice playground that's a easy walk from the house. Elberta beach is a gem. The very steep hill to get to it is walkable but most people drive to it.
Pictures accurately show the small front yard but the nice front porch with extra seating area of wide boards was always shaded. The old abandoned house right across the street adds charm and views of the lake can be seen on either side of that house.
The back deck on south side of house is very private and is out of the wind.
A lovely home. I hope to stay there again.

My daughters, sister and I stayed with two kids and the house worked out well for us. We worried about only having one bathroom, but there were two sinks and plenty of mirror spaces for everyone to use. House was more spacious than anticipated and we loved the location (although hoping the abandoned houses near it will be fixed up in time because it's such a nice little town.

We’ll be back to this amazing little charmer. The pics don’t show how cute the interior really is

Property was as described. Beds were comfortable. Was close to the marina we keep the boat at and walking distance to the best margaritas!

We’ve done an annual Frankfort trip for 5 years now and this is the best place we’ve stayed. The place was clean and nicely furnished. There was ample and easy parking in the driveway. Park is in walking distance. The outdoor deck area was perfect with a big table. The property felt private and was well landscaped. Washer and dryer worked well. Not sure what else we could have needed or wanted!
A few clarifications for those who might have read old reviews:
- All of the windows have screens. There were several fans for us to use and we had no problem keeping things cool even in August.
- None of the neighbors had a dog, so no barking or growling to worry about!
- More of the houses in the neighborhood are being renovated and we felt the neighborhood was safe and good.

The owners did a nice job updating the property. It was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The property is well located in Elberta with a partial view of Betsy Bay which was nice. However it was a hot week and it would have been more comfortable if there were more windows and doors with screens on them since there’s no AC, especially the window next to the kitchen under the protection of the porch. It could have remained open in the rain. We also didn’t look closely enough at the listing to discover that there was no wifi. My husband had to do work while we were there and the lack of wifi made it difficult. Overall it’s a cute comfortable property and with a few adjustments could be even better.

Great space for a family and fantastic location. Short bike ride to the elberta parks and beaches and the Frankfort shopping and downtown. Easy drive to sleeping bear activities. We very much enjoyed our stay

We had a wonderful stay. The home was very clean. Check in was easy. We had a few nice hikes. Great meals. Located near Arcadia. My hubby golfed and we had a delicious meal watching the sun go down. I would come again, and hope to!

This updated house is clean and well decorated. It had plenty of kitchen supplies, paper products, and towels for our stay. The kitchen is small and simple but good enough if you are not doing a lot of cooking. We stayed here as a family and took the kids skiing. Since our stay was in the middle of winter, I can’t review the beach convenience. But it was a good location to drive to and from the ski hills. Plenty of comfy beds and the owners were quick to respond to questions.

Great location to all the area has to offer. I wish all the windows had their screens in them to allow for opening at night as there is no air conditioning. However we were able to locate some to insert into a window to allow more air flow. Super cute decor and very friendly owners. I would rent this one again!

We loved the decor and set up of the home. Location was great for us, easy for teens to walk to beach or bike over to Frankfort. Wonderful family week.

Love Frankfort beach and the shopping too. The cabbage she'd was walking distance with great food and drink. The rental was a great size for our family, and entertainment if able to travel around. Would stay again sometime.

The neighborhood would make a great Hollywood setting for a horror film, just saying. Many of the old homes were bought up and have been abandoned for years, waiting for demolition and for the 30+ acre adjoining property to be developed. This was a little unsettling on a dark autumn night when walking the dog. Very little street light.
Also, the mice we discovered to be inhabiting the inside of the oven were a concern. After two nights using the oven, we realized the odor was not coming from the 1st floor bathroom. Also, the mouse feces showed up in large amounts in the morning all around the open food storage areas and the coffee station. Gross. Although on the surface the house looked clean when we arrived, I did notice an odd smell when we walked in. I had forgotten about that until we got home.
The owners did send us a check to help cover our second nights dinner we threw away after discovering the residents of the oven/stove, but on later reflection we felt like it was unfair that we paid a large pet fee, when it was clear their was resident wildlife in the house. We've had bad luck in Frankfort with VRBO, and now Elberta. We will definitely reconsider staying in hotels and resorts instead of homeowner/investor owned properties.

Pro-the place was super cute and we love the area of Michigan. Con- Much of the basics that are pretty typical were not there. For instance there is a coffee maker, but no coffee filters to make coffee. A washer and dryer, but no laundry soap. When we arrived there was barely any hand soap or dish soap so I messaged if there were any back up supplies we could access. The owner messaged me “the soap that is almost gone, both hand and dish, was left behind by other renters. We provide, as a courtesy, enough toilet paper and a roll of paper towels to get you started, but we have never provided laundry detergent, or soaps as a general practice”. I have never needed to need to bring my own hand soap in order to wash my hands. So nice dishes and cookware, but no dish soap with which to wash them.

Easy to rent. Info was timely. Had issues with the Dish TV but the owner took care of it. Loved the location - close to places that have meaning to my husband and I.

Very cute refurbished older home with artistic flair. Very quiet.

This rental worked well. Very Clean, everything we needed, designer decor, comfortable beds. I would definitely recommend and rent this home again.
