About this house rental

We think you’ll love our recently-renovated, cozy beach home just as much as we do!

Located inside of Oceanside Village ( on a quiet lakefront, what you do once you get here is really up to you. If you want a calm, relaxing time to unwind with just a few people, or you rather invite a whole group (up to 8 comfortably) and play games, celebrate, and make lasting memories, this is your spot.

Our home is a clean, comfortable, and fully-furnished. Its beach-themed look and feel permeates every room and immediately gets you in the mood for your home for the next week.

It has three bedrooms, two baths, and sleeps eight comfortably across: two queen beds, one full futon (in the master bedroom), and one full/twin bunkbed. We do not furnish sheets or any type of towels, you need to bring your own.

The screened-in porch is where we spend most of our time, watching the swans, ducks, geese, and turtles swimming around, and if you’re bringing kids, the lake is stocked with fish to catch and release. The porch is all set up for outdoor dining, and a gas grill is also out back for the grillmaster in your party to do their magic.

The private beach is a short walk or drive from the house, and you can also rent golf carts for the week to easily get around. Oceanside Village even has its own restaurant, The Conch Cafe, right on the beach. There are also rest rooms and showers in the private parking lot. When you get back to the house, we also have a hot-water outdoor shower in which you can freshen up.

There are also multiple pools (and water parks for the kids to play in), as well as a heated indoor pool, so you always have options available when you want to get wet.

The village is surrounded by great restaurants and attractions, and is about 10 miles south of downtown Myrtle Beach. But you’re really close to all of the sights the Grand Strand has to offer, like Broadway at the Beach, Murrel’s Inlet, and Restaurant Row.

During the summers, you can go down to the Garden City Pier, walk out to the end as the sunsets, and get drinks at the bar and watch different bands play every night. Another enjoyable time is going to see the amazing sculptures and nature at Brookgreen Gardens, a former slave plantation where you can take boat and 4x4 tours showing you the history and unique elements of the low country. And, for a great day trip, you can head down to Charleston and see even more historic sights, including Fort Sumter.

We've been here with a handful of people, and a houseful, and every time has been a special visit that resulted in great memories at the end. So, I hope you find our home to be everything you’re looking for… it's certainly been just that for us!

House was clean and spacious. Was perfect for my husband and I & 3 teens. Kitchen was well stocked with essentials. I loved the screened in porch. I was out there in the mornings and even at night! Location was good, 6 min ride to beach and close to the grocery store. The main issue I had with the rental was the golf cart. One of the main things we love to do is drive the the cart from Surfside to garden city pier, and ride to the park and walk the piers on the marsh. With 3 kids driving age , a golf cart was essential as it is every year I vacation in Surfside/garden city. The rental description failed to mention that you can ONLY rent from within ocean side village and you CANNOT take the golf cart off the property. We were not happy that this was not disclosed as would have not rented this house. Paying $418 for a week and not being able to leave the village was very disappointing and inconvenient. This should have been disclosed. I also was unaware they required you to bring your own linens. All sheets/pillow cases and bath towels. I have never in 10 years rented a home that those were not included. The original description did not disclose that either as again I would have never rented this home. I do not see bringing 5 sets of bedding and towels for 5 people as a productive way to vacation. The owner was super responsive when I called her. She explained it was written in a welcome letter. A welcome letter that I was never sent. There were spares to use. 🙏

This is the second time we’ve rented this property and it continues to fully meet our expectations and how it’s portrayed in the listing. The house was very clean and everything in good working order when we checked in. Carol is one of, if not the, most responsive homeowners we’ve interacted with.

We've been staying at Oceanside Village for the past 4 years and this year has been, by far, our favorite. Carol was very good about being in touch and helping us get situated and answering questions we had. The house is spacious enough for our 3 adults and 2 kids with a master bed/bath set up (with an entrance to the bathroom off the main hall) as well as 2 rooms with a bathroom connecting them both. The house was incredibly clean as was the outside building where the washer/dryer were housed. We loved spending our mornings and evenings on the screened-in back porch in the cool air without bugs. Being able to sit out and see the water and everything going on was so nice. We look forward to going back next summer!

After always staying in hotels or a condo this was a great place with plenty of private space. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is big and fully equipped which made for a great family breakfast each morning. There is beach chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards , sand toys, movies and board games for the kids to enjoy. Carol the owner is amazing and helpful. Golf cart rental is a huge plus for going to the pools and beach. There is not many parking spots for cars so you will have to head out early to catch those parking places. I personally enjoy the screened porch. I'm an early riser so I would sit out there drink my coffee, read my book and enjoy the ducks and geese on the water. This is a great vacation spot. Hope to return next year!

This beach house was amazing!! The house has EVERYTHING you could possibly need while on vacation! Easy check in, private development with security, quiet time at 11pm, kitchen is fully stocked, beds are so comfortable, outside shower after the beach was perfect (especially with a 2 year old), washer and dryer, and screened in patio that overlooks water with geese and ducks that our daughter LOVED every time we were home. The pictures of this house are wonderful but do not compare to how wonderful and homey it felt. This beach house felt like home while we stayed! Carol was amazing and sent us detailed information we would need before we stayed. Our family would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this beautiful beach home! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!!

This home is just perfect for a family vacation. It sits on a little lake, we fed turtles, and though the property is full of other homes, it was so quiet and serene. The house was very cozy and all stocked up for a perfect vacation!

We absolutely had the best vacation staying here! Every morning we would drink our coffee on the screened porch over-looking the lake. We enjoyed watching the ducks and geese. We did some fishing, swimming, golf cart riding, and soaking in the sun on the beach! The house was perfect size with awesome outdoor shower! The washer and dryer were definitely a plus! The community was quiet and very relaxing. The location was the best! Right across the street from a grocery store, The flea market and Wild Water Wheels waterpark. Great restaurants in the area as well. The owner was amazing! She answered every question I had very promptly and was awesome to work with. I would definitely stay here again! We did not want to leave!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was clean. It looked just like the pictures. The screened in porch was great!! We loved watching the swans and geese on the pond and in the yard. The outside shower was clean and really came in handy after our days on the beach. The showers inside even had great water pressure! Carol was great to work with and always responded quickly to all my questions. I would definitely recommend staying here!!

We had a great time at Carol's house. Oceanside village was a very nice and quiet community. We enjoyed the pool and the golf cart rides to the beach. The best part about Carol's house is the outdoor shower! We all took turns everyday showering in there, it was amazing. The house has everything you need, very clean and spacious. It was my family of 4 and my sister's family of 3. Plenty of room. Will stay here again!

The house was nice, and the fishing pond, pools were a plus. The private beach parking lot was crowded but if you do not have a golf cart you can get a spot easily if you are there by 10:30 am. Over all we enjoyed this property and vacation very well. We had one issue but the home owner handled it with quickness and efficiency! We are pleased and would use this property again!

We stayed in a house within Oceanside Village in Surfside Beach. The house was wonderful and very clean and well kept. It had a screenshot in porch over looking the canal. We rented a golf cart and used it to get around in the village. Conch Cafe Restaurant was very good. This is part of the village. The area was very easy to get around and had many places to choose from or drive to Murrells Inlet, about 4-5 miles down the road. We would definitely stay here again.

Someone was scamming out this property and got me and my family ! We showed up being told they would meet with the keys and no one came ! We went to the office of the gated community and we were told that we were definitely scammed because the real listed owner was different than the one that messaged us about the property. This house was available anyway tho they said cause the owners were not there and we were so hopeful we would still have a place to stay after driving 6 1/2 hours only to find out what we did ! After being on the phone with carol the actual owner trying to get a price for us to stay during this horrific time of already being out $400 but she wanted to charge us almost $800 for 3 nights and it wasn’t even gonna be rented anyway ! The gated community guy not sure his name was so nice and even offered to pay her cleaning fee for her cause he had seen how very upset we were and with a 3 year old and 11 month old it was someone’s worst nightmare. Carol showed zero compassion about it and all she was worried about was how much she was gonna get out of the deal which I get but our situation was so different and I was so heartbroken we could have really used a break and a good hearted person that day ! So we wasn’t gonna stay for that price after already being out $400. The office tried to find us another place to stay that was even available and there wasn’t any so we drove home broken hearted with very emotional kids and I’m still depressed over the whole thing I would recommend the community but I’m unsure about this rental
