We were a bit worried about the room we were in not being airconditioned, but the fan that was in the room delivered. This was such a cool room to stay in, we felt like we were in a little tree house. It was very quiet, except for the howler monkeys in the morning. The staff was available for any questions we had.
The location was great, so many places to eat close by. We highly recommend the soda that is to the right when you exit the hotel, the food was delicious.

Lage
Putzfrauen kamen um 7:00 morgens und haben viel Lärm gemacht. Personal war nicht sonderlich freundlich/ hilfsbereit z.B. durfte man nicht die Yogaplattform benutzen.
4.5
Best location and best staff!!!
Could clean more in the rooms. (Treehouse)

- toller Yoga Kurs
- super Lage

Extremely nice staff and a great vibe to the hostel with many social guests. The hostel offers a bunch of great activities and is very close to the beach
4.5
Staff were very friendly. You can chill in the hostel whole day, lots of hammocks, coffee in the morning, yoga classes... İt is very close to the beach as well.
If they provide towels as well, it would be better, because it is not easy to get yours dry due to the humidity.
4.5
It was a really nice location. We had a private room and it was so nice with the hammocks in front and also the beds were really comfortable.
Just the Check-out was a little bit problematic. We especially ask for a earlier check-out, because we had a shuttle to catch and it was confirmed by the staff. But when we were there in the morning, nobody from the staff were there and we couldn´t get our deposit back.

we stayed in the tree house, cute little setting. basic bathroom, but overall fairly comfortable and the location is really good, very central and close to the entrance to the beach. there was a fridge in the room and a fan, a hammock outside, can’t complain. yoga class was awesome!
the hotel charges cash only, but the conversion of usd to colones feels like a bit of a rip off. for the amount we had to pay we lost about 30$ only due to their bad conversion, seems like they’re a little too much after our money, even for the shuttle they organized they had a surcharge - and that on top of the conversion! so I suggest you bring usd with you. we had to rent towels and they were never changed once, there are no toiletries in the room, at least shower gel or soap would be nice. they have surf boards, but they don’t rent them out unless you book a class. the instructor was another story, but the worst was when they say they’ll tell you when to meet, but they ghosted me on the last day saying later in the evening the waves weren’t good.

prime location.
bring a towel

Great location, lots of nice hammocks
the cooking facilities were very very minimal

This place is amazing, no doubt. Its in the middle of santa teresa only 5 minutes from the beacj. Good vibes, Jon himself and his mother are amazing, kind and superhelpful. They helped us book shuttles, taxis and everything. They hooked us up with a great surfteacher namned Dani, if youre gonba take surfclasses do it with Dani! Hes a five star teacher.
There are lots of good space for hangout and nice vibes on the evenings. We lived in a private room in a three-stored ”bungalow” which were supercozy. Own toilet and shower, it was clean and wellworkning. No AC but a fan that we kept going at night, this was enough for us.
I really have nothing bad to say about this place. Go here!

Rooms are nice, except for the showers
Staff wasn’t really helpful answering questions about the sorroundings. Seemed Iike they were only interested in making more money. The rooms are nice but are totally off value for what you pay. Kitchen is really disgusting, even for the worst hostel standard.

I stayed in one of the back treehouses and loved it! The rooms are set off the main road and very quiet. The patio hammock was amazing. Beds were super comfortable. Small fridge in the room. Kitchen facilities available onsite. If you're looking for a rustic, beach experience....this is it. The rooms have a fan (you don't need A/C). Also there is no hot water in the shower (you don't need it.) One morning I woke to monkeys in the trees. Parking is free and easy. Beach access is across the street and only a 5 min walk. Don't miss the Santa Teresa sunsets. You've never seen anything like them!!

The room was nice, spacious and cleaned everyday. The garden was beautiful and the atmosphere very quiet. There were a lot of Hammock to hang out in and a lot of yoga every day. Good place to relax.
The kitchen had barely nothing to cook with. The stove was broken and the staff was rude about giving out matches to light the stove. There was no activities organized and no fun atmosphere in the evening.

The location is central and I met some cool people here.
It would be a decent accommodation for $5 a night. If you didn’t mind a constant smell of sewage, hosts hiding the A/C remote from the hours of 8am to 9pm, and “kitchen” with a few dull knives and rusty pots (make sure you’ve got your tetanus shot if you’re planning to cook anything here). You can forget about being inside the dorm room during the day because the heat combined with the smell of sewage creates a wonderful stink sauna. I cannot recommend people enough to not waste their money and trip to Santa Teresa at this place.

The place is so lovely and we felt so comfortable trough our stay. The treehouse is so cozy to stay in. Very friendly staff.

Really friendly people, feels like staying at home with a family 👌its basic but perfect to stay for a while

The hostel is really cheap compared to the other hostels in the Center.
The location of the hostel is amazing, everything is literally a second from you, food, laundry, the sea, grocery store. what you need at a short distance. And the dorm is big
The kitchen of the hostel is reasonable, nothing more than that. the employees at the hostel give you the feeling that they are doing you a favor. Some days there was no running water in the hostel without too many explanations. And also the security is not something for both me and some others in the hostel things disappeared.

hammocks and the nice location
The female owner was very unfriendly and made often weird comments. We had rats in our apartments and they put the cat into the room to chase the rats, which was not helpful at all, since the rats were only out at night and the cat wouldn’t chase the rats anyway. There were also red small worms in the shower and the shower was gross.

no hot water, no AC like it says

The property though on the Main Street was quite due to it being set back on the property providing you a relaxed setting
The property needs some TLC but those repairs had started
