I couldn’t have anything to eat before 8 am I was working at a wedding and had to leave 7:30 I asked for a bag of take away breakfast which wasn’t available although I did ask when I arrived so if they had more notice they may have helped

Liked where is was situated and the view
The noise, the choice at the breakfast buffet bar, dirty cups left and not changed for next day, bed not made. Cleaners did not make the effect.

on main road but set back and with superb views.Room well appointed and comfortable.
Steep steps to entrance and no signs for disabled access. A handrail on the steps would help.

Lovely hotel and bar with friendly staff. Superb breakfast. Room 3 was very comfortable with a terrace as a deluxe double. The only issue, there was a faint smell in the bathroom of drains. Super location if your at a wedding in the opposite stately homeSt Audries Park.
The restaurant closes a bit early being 8.30 and the bar at 11pm

The food was fantastic, such choice and beautifully cooked. The room was clean and a good size and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We found out on our first night there that the bed was paper thin and the springs stuck into your back. We both had a bad night's sleep. We were given a duvet to put under the sheet which helped a little and were told that the mattress was only 17 months old. It must have been a cheap one in that case!

Hotel was clean, staff pleasant and helpful. Food good and cooked by the chef within eyesight.
Room was at the top of 2 flights of stairs with no lift.

Brilliant stay, we stayed here while attending a wedding at crowcombe court it was a 10 minute taxi ride away so great location. Was a little unsure what to expect of the hotel as only a 3* however was very impressed room was of a decent size could definitely recommend the quad room for families brilliant view overlooking st Audries. We were staying with friends so also had a double room booked also couldnt fault nice view balcony quiet location. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Check in wasnt until 3 however we were able to go on and get our keys and leave luggage so didnt need to travel back mid wedding.

Missed breakfast but stay was great

No tea at breakfast, mushrooms, this was our 3rd time at the windmill, the staff, we felt just weren’t as attentive to our needs, was obvious that there had been a change of staff and we just felt because of this, the place had lost its sparkle

Great location and easy to find. Breakfasts were great, with a good choice of cooked meals. Evening meals also delicious - book a table in advance if you want to eat in the restaurant, but there is also outside space under a large awning. Room was of a good size and facilities were fine. Room 2 has a huge bathroom equipped for a disabled visitor - can’t say whether other rooms have similar.
Close to the fossil beaches round Watchet - park at St Audries Bay holiday park for £4 day (August 2022). Watchet itself is very popular and busy; cafe tables get booked quickly; you might queue for fish and chips or an ice cream! Lovely walks along the coast. Check the tides if walking on the beach between headlands, as some get cut off at high tide, but time it right and you’ll have plenty of time to fossil hunt.
Despite an email from the hotel confirming my request for two single beds in the room, there was only a double sofa bed in addition to the actual double bed, so not ideal for a family of four with two teenage children. We managed, but I mention it as it may be a more important aspect for another group. Nothing otherwise negative about our stay.

Location was stunning. Breakfast had good options, very tasty- where’s the hash browns though!?
Room was lovely & clean, bathroom stunning. Amazing balcony view.
Could have had some sweeteners in the room as I don’t take sugar so couldn’t make a drink.
Need another iron, I asked for one at 10 am said they only had 1 and would bring to the room when they had it back but we left at 12:30 for wedding over road and never got brought it so had a creased shirt.

ROOM 6
Exceptionally clean (except outside table/badly cracked glass/'perfumed' mug) and very well appointed small and v comfortable room.
Quality towels, bedding and toiletries.
Well stocked refreshments tray
A few v friendly staff partic kitchen
VIEW, location and vibe
Plastic step to outside terrace. Not wet but very very slippy whether in shoes or bare feet.
Extractor noise and greasy fryer smell from kitchen(fryer).
Filthy table outside.
Surly and uncommunicative FOH at breakfast
Lack of availability of food which could have been communicated on arrival or at bar when husband went down to check Menu for the evening 20 mins earlier..Driving around unknown area on a Sunday evening unacceptable when we had booked a location specifically so that for a change we could both enjoy a bottle of wine together.and not worry about driving.
4.5
Friendly staff , lovely room great to sit on little balcony.
