First time there, customer services was great.
Restaurant inside the property was amazing.
The villa we stayed was beautiful and clean. I will recommend this place to everybody and i will continue to visit.

Love the Resort

I love the safety and security aspect of the property. My children are safe and the convenience of having restaurants near by.

The property is a little dated but overall conditions are clean and good. The pool restaurant was great and the owners were very accommodating and pleasant. We would stay here again

Old smell in the rooms ! Old smell , hard to sleep with it ! Also too much noise in the second floor ! We were in the first floors !

We had a wonderful two room villa that was perfect. However, the upkeep of the grounds and pool area are nonexistent. Peeling paint/rust on the metal fences around the very dirty pool. Dirt was accumulating on the bottom of the pool and the coping and tile need to be repaired. This could be the best pool in the area if someone would put some work into it.

I have to give this place a bad rating. I traveled alone with my three children. The first night we stayed, we were getting ready for bed, and when my kids went to pull out the sofabed, it had a sign saying, “Don’t open Broken.” We had to change rooms at 10 pm, and no staff member offered to help. I had just gone grocery shopping, and the new room did not have a full refrigerator, so most of my groceries went to waste. THEN, as my 5-year-old was sitting on a sofa/chair, he pulled out an OPENED pocket KNIFE that was placed in the cushion facing blade up. I reported all my concerns and brought in the knife, but all I got was an I don’t know how that happened.

Very noisy all around the resort due to renovations by owners of units that are not part of Shadow Mountain. No cleaning services (no matter how long you stay) provided by the management and you have to get your own replacement towels and bathroom tissues by walking down to the front desk! AC unit was extremely loud! Tennis courts were full of dust (ball marks can be seen)!! Definitely not a good value for the price and would not recommend this place.

Pros - Great place to stay for Indian Well, close to a cute downtown area with lots of shops and restaurants. Quiet and relaxing.
Cons - they must allow pets here, lots of people have their dogs. Great for them, not so great for other people who had to deal with pet hairs, or had allergies to dogs. They tried to keep it clean, but I am sure people let their pets on the bed and sofa, etc...

Great for tennis enthusiasts. We booked for BNP first week...lots of tennis action here. Book well in advance to avoid disappointment. Affordable option with tennis.

I was surprised this property was even listed on expedia. The room was so smelly and stinky that I called and complained and they sent me some room spray. It smelled like mold, mildew and smoke. I only booked this room because it had a pull out bed as well and guess what, the pull out bed was broken and didn't even open out. You couldn't even sit on the couch, it smelled so badly. I had to get fresh sheets and put them on the couch to sit on it. Even the little dinette had folded paper stuffed under the leg to keep it steady. When I complained and asked for a different room they said they couldn't change the room since they didn't have any other available, they wouldn't give me a refund because I didn't book directly with them. All in all this place was terrible and definitely overprices, if I had stayed in a motel I would have had a better experience.

Many places in the area that are cleaner, nicer, more comfortable and with much better customer service than this place. Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here.

This is not a 4 star resort, but rather a 3 star hotel.
Buildings are old.
Pool and jacuzzi need resurfacing
Kitchen was outdated: old coffee maker, no dishwasher
There was a dead bug inside kitchen counter
There is no housekeeping service, no hand-soap, body wash, conditioner or body lotion in the bathroom. Bathroom is very small It would be OK for $ 100 per night, but not for $ 180

The property is run down: chipped paint, holes in the ceiling tiles, ancient & noisy A/C unit, dated room decor. The towels are rough & of very poor quality. The toiletries provided are embarrassing: bar of soap & shampoo of Motel 6 caliber. The lighting in the parking lot & throughout the exterior of the property is very dim (making it feel unsafe). There are residents who live there. After midnight on the night of my arrival, there were 2 dogs running around the parking lot barking with the owner chasing them. In the middle of the day, there was a different larger dog (pit bull or pit mix-aggressive looking) was sitting on the grass near the pool-not on a leash & not restrained. The front desk closes I at some point at night, so security personnel checked me in. I interacted with one staff member over the phone & 2 in person-they were all very friendly & helpful. The pictures & description for this "resort" are not consistent with what I experienced during my stay.

The resort was nice and in a gated community which made it safer.

I love this place it’s perfect for a mini vacation with family or friends! The rooms are very spacious and you can cook your own foods if you choose to. The pool is huge and it’s nice that you have the poolside bar. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back!

It was a great location and beautiful Villa but needed work. The property needs a facelift and the pool replastering. It is an amazing pool with lots of history and Philip who checked us in was lovely and so knowledgeable. Overall a good stay.

Came for my fiancés birthday trip and we were very pleased with our stay. The studio room was super nice, clean, comfortable and was conveniently located next to the pool and fitness room. We had our own private patio which was really nice as well. The only downfall for us was there wasn’t anything on site (bar, restaurant, cafe…) so we had to find other places nearby. I feel like we didn’t really get to enjoy the full services this resort had to offer but we still made the best of it and would definitely come back again in the future.

The customer service was top notch, they were very accommodating. The room was well stocked and clean.
The only issues I had were (1) pool-side service although advertised as open Fri-Sun, was not open on Saturday, and (2) Saturday night very loud (unsupervised teens) were allowed to play inappropriate music right outside our room. I wanted to use the pool in the evening, but was unable to due to this.

Absolutely loved the room. I had a great Mother’s Day with my daughter. Plenty of room at pool, front desk staff extremely pleasant, it was not crowded which I really enjoyed!

Staff was extremely friendly. Lots of stuff to do in the area, coffee shops are amazing. Would come back to this property again.

Bistro nice when open, which wasn't often. Room not anything as shown on website Bed in living room, no dressers for clothes. Cheapest utensils, dark as a cave, furniture with stains, tiniest soap I've ever seen. This was a splurge at $350 a night for our 31st anniversary. Worst place we ever stayed.

Our unit could use an upgrade, but they made the most of what was there. Very clean, spacious, quiet, and convenient amenities.

Great resort and super fun. The grounds are beautiful and perfect location

If you are a tennis player, you cannot ask for a better place to stay. Amazing courts and pro-staff. Tons of options for all levels. Walking distance to great shops and food in Palm Desert. The unit we stayed in was acceptable, but did not exceed expectations as it was bare bones (bad kitchen equipment). There was no after hour support for any issues, which was not great either. But, we liked it enough for the key items that we would stay again.

Quiet , large rooms , clean and well kept property

The photos of the property are very misleading!! The rooms look updated and nice, but my room was an old run down room! Not even close to what is on the Expedia website! Which is the same thing as their website! Very disappointed!! To be fair, if you play tennis, nice set of courts, good lighting for them as well. Pool and chairs look nice. Seems like they need a better pool man!! Built up calcium, and some algae! Minimal, but there!! Sad!!

Old out dated. No gym

The wood/laminate floor in the room was filthy when we first entered the room. The room was very old and dated as was the furniture. The fixtures holding the towels, toilet paper, etc. were not securely attached to the wall. No housekeeping or fresh towels offered during a five night stay.
