From the airport shuttle to GSR, the check in process was very simple, the keys worked first time a the room door, the room was clean and comfortable. The heater and A/C worked perfectly. We are breakfast at the buffet and played some games. Access to the shuttle bus going into downtown Reno was right at the casino back door every half hour. We went into town and had lunch, walked around and got back onto the bus to return to GSR.

There was left over food in freezer, toilet didn’t flush until 6th flush, location of room very loud train horn, shower leaked not enough shower mat or towel to soak up water

Nice big rooms with views.

No view at all second floor. Over 45 minutes for valet to bring up truck.

Beds were too soft and swayed in the middle. Not a comfortable night's sleep. Seems like they need to replace the mattresses or check the box springs. The pillows were too firm. Overall, however, the room was good size and in good shape.

Stopped to ask an employee where elevators to rooms were. He did not respond or look at me when my husband asked he answered and then rudely said, "And I heard you the first time" Also parking was a complete joke. Not enough parking.

Had an impromptu getaway with the family. Quick and easy to book and redeem my points as well.

The Grand Sierra Resort is an amazing property and very family friendly. Unfortunately, the hotel's attempt to get guests to use kiosks for check-in and check-out led to long lines at the front desk for questions and/or problems. And the severe understaffing of the front desk during Thanksgiving week was inexcusable! The property is massive and has many guest rooms but the front desk usually only had two (2) people working on it. My family had six (6) rooms from 11/25/24-11/30/24 and we enjoyed the nice property and its central location. We just wish the front desk was better staffed throughout our stay.

They put me in a room that was very loud at first after just telling me the weekend was going to be a slow one then struggled to get me into a different room.

Valet was poor overall. Drop off convenient. Pick up was terrible. Timely, inefficient, lack of respect by employees related to personal belongings, flat out lied to my face, and then when they realized they were wrong, they simply walked off. The experience: Employees used customers’ vehicles to shuttle employees back and forth, in poor weather conditions. My truck was fully packed with gear on passenger seat and passenger floor area. Back seat not accessible. When picking up truck for dinner plans, I watched as they retrieved my vehicle and one valet employee (J-Dub; unsure if they gave me correct name be wise I wasn’t happy), sat on my gear in front seat, did not even bother to move it, then placed his dirty shoes on top of my gear in the floor area because there was zero room to move the floor items. The front seat gear could have easily been moved to back area. He literally placed his butt and sat on my gear that goes on my head and face, smashing it. Another employee was wasting time when I needed to get my vehicle to make dinner plans. I watched as he tried multiple times to climb into my backseat which I knew was impossible which put crushing and damaging my gear’s storage system. He finally gave up and rushed back to front valet area. Bellman: fantastic! Hotel room: looked great, mattress/pillows comfortable, clean, but refrigerator door would not close, and shower head water flow terrible. Came out like needles with poor volume exiting nozzle. I would not stay again

Room was VERY clean. Carpets looked clean with no visible stains, the floor tile is mopped and clean, and the sheets were clean with no stains found. Most clean hotel room I’ve stayed at

Love the stay. Only problem is their is no microwave in the rooms to heat up food

Room was a good size and was the shower pressure was great! The beds were decent and the bedding was comfortable. They have large throw pillows on the beds (we had a 2 queen room) and "benches: at the ends of the beds, all of which has large stains. Overall the room was nice, but they should take the time to steam the thriw piillows and benches. The staff was all very friendly! We did valet and utilized the bell desk for luggage which was nice, especially since we had spent all day driving. The casino and rooms were so welcoming.

My young daughter and I stayed here overnight then took the shuttle to the airport after a buffet breakfast and a round of hitting golf balls poorly lol
Check in was easy especially with mobile check in. We got to our room and then did a little exploring and found the giant hamster cage. We spent a few hours there before calling it a night.
Breakfast was okay. Coffee was like drinking oil and took a glass of milk to get it reasonably drinkable. I probably will not eat in the buffet again.
We had some time to kill and I wanted to get outside so we went out to the lake. We bought a basket of balls and got an iron and spent an hour barely getting the balls into the lake lol Worth every penny, and it didn't take many to play.
Shuttle was on time and comfy. We'll definitely be coming back. Thanks GSR!

I was not looking forward to my stay at GSR. I thought it would be loud, smoky, and worn out. Instead I was pleasantly surprised. I liked how they provided a link to check in and out, and how large and comfortable the rooms were. I also worried that they would have lots of hidden fees, exorbitant parking fees, etc. Instead, I found there was lots of free parking and apart from a $40 resort fee, and a room service gratuity fee ($2) added to my bill, I found the stay affordable and comfortable. I would stay again.

Trying to get room service is a complete waste of time, the refrigerator does not work, and there is no washing clothes, and there is trash in the hallway. The room cost of what you get is a complete waste of money!
2.0 / 10.0
Not included in your total is the $40 daily resort fee, $40 daily cleaning tip, and they charged me $30 for checking in half an hour early and didn’t tell me that they would. I have never been charged for checking in half an hour early.

We froze. The first night the heater wouldn’t work it blowed ice cold air. We called for maintenance and they said they couldn’t get to us until 11 p.m so we asked if they could just come the next day and we slept with coats on. The next night we get back and the room was 62 degrees because the maid tried to turn the heat on which just was ac and maintenance never showed up. We demanded to get swapped to a new room it was so cold. Our new room seemed nice until we turned the heat on and it squealed so loud and high pitch we had to shut it off and just be cold. Customer service was ok checkout day and gave us a partial refund but it was not enough for how bad it was.

Below freezing weather outside but a paper thin blanket on the bed, with no extra blanket in the closet. It’s a hassle to have to call down for an extra, especially late at night. Weren’t able to turn the heat up. Bottom sheet was a flat sheet, not a fitted sheet, leaving the mattress sides exposed, which is a little gross. Other than that, everything was fine.

It took almost 30 minutes to check in and 20 minutes to check out. The hotel room was nice but there was a $40 per day cleaning service and our coffee and water was not replenished nor were the facial and hand towels. The pillows were hard and I got bug bits on the back of my neck. I ordered a Patron margarita and was charged for a Patron margarita. I watched the bar tender use a dispenser to make my drink. When I asked if he used Patron he lied and said yes. There is also a $40 per day resort fee. So in addition to the room charge there was $80.00 additional fees.

The room was fine, asthetically. The problem was it was hot and never colled down, deapite A/C on. The next morning it was the same twmperature. The next morning also presented us with only cold water. Hot all night and no warm water to shower with followed by two airplane flights meant we felt gross by the time we got to our destination.

We had no hot water at first. They came up to fix and we finally got warm water, but it took forever to get even warm. Also, the lady at check in acted like wew were an imposition. Lastly, we checked out early using the app and I'm not sure we got any credit. Very confused.

Decent enough, the “resort fee” is a little laughable snd high, as well as the cleaning staff gratuity charge. What for? I had to call myself and ask them to come to the room the next day. It’s not like they put new sheets on, or vacuumed. Room was clean, facility was clean, everything you could need is there.

We enjoyed the room until the last night when there was a water leak in the bathroom and we had to be moved to another room at 9:30pm. We ate at the Rim and the food was excellent.

Checked in and they said told me they canceled my reservation and I needed to book at their new rate. Got charged double what I paid online to get the same room.

This was a really annoying hotel. Check in is a long process, with long lines. The key card didn't work and so I needed to go back to the front desk -- another ten minutes -- because you are in a casino, nothing is close. Long walks in all directions. The room wasn't great and overall this was uncomfortable but less expensive.

Huge casino resort with lots of people. The food at their cafe is very good. The service is excellent. Lots of food choices. The rooms are large and clean.

We came from FL to see Judas Priest. We had a great time. Really good restaurants. I liked the design of the theater also.

Great food and concert

Fur-Con convention ruined our trip. We choose this hotel for the pool - and we were denied that because of this private event. (despite that I fact that I confirmed the pool hours before making the reservation and upon checking into the hotel at 5:30 in the afternoon afternoon)
