Adorable place inside and out. Amazing location. Decent size rooms (we had 2 queens in our room). Bathroom was tiny but had some counter space which is what we needed. Quiet at night. Friendly service.
Beds were not comfy for me ... mattresses and pillows. Pillows were all the same from what I could tell so didn't allow for guests to find one that was better than others. Shower drain was very slow - water accumulated while you were in the shower.

Great location and great value hotel. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Looking forward to returning for our next NYC trip.

We had an amazing stay , staff and location is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone. But , besides the stay. We left valuables by accident in our hotel. The hotel staff and manager returned our goods and I absolutely amazed because a lot of times. It doesn’t turn out that way. There professional, respectful and friendly people showed the minute I walked in the door. Thank you Chris and your staff for reminding me there are people out there that still have morals and values and respect for others belongings. They had every opportunity to not even say anything. But , they choose to return our belongings back to us. Kudos to good people still in this world.

Location was perfect for us.The service was good and our room was spacious. There is no table if you wish to sit and work from the laptop. No coffee machine. Cleaning not so good.Sheets where not changed at any time during our 5 days stay. Carpet was not vacuumed at all. Our room was close to the elevator and to ice machine, so we where unlucky. Noise from these did get though walls. Urban feen upon check out is expensive. I think we will find another hotel next time.

Hotel was ideal for its purpose. Close to everything planned for an elderly relative visiting with us.

Had a great stay here. Super convenient - friendly staff, nice rooms.

My time at Romer was good. I was a bit surprised, given the property had opened fairly recently, that there was already significant signs of moisture damage on the ceilings in the bathroom. The faucets had both the hot and cold indicators falling off.
The rooms are big and certainly comfortable, but not conducive to doing any work if you need to do so. There was just one very small table. The rooms are certainly big enough for a desk with a decent work area, as well as a bigger/comfier chair.
The staff was very nice/accommodating. Overall a good experience.

We expected better service, but whenever we made a request to the front desk, they either didn’t have the item or asked us to pick it up ourselves, which was very unprofessional.

Excellent hotel with a perfect location in the Hells Kitchen neighbourhood. Very attentive staff, clean room, comfortable common areas. Easy access to subway both uptown and downtown. Will stay again.

I travel a lot and this place had the worst water pressure I've EVER had. Barely came out of the top of the shower head. AC at 65, still warm and sounded like a train running through our room. Stupid automatic light switches turned the lights on while trying to sleep. You move a toe and you get woke up with the lights coming on; annoying to say the least. Glad it was only a 2 day stay.
As for the hotel itself, nothing special. Pics look better online (usually do). I felt it was really just an old hotel or apartment building that someone bought, slapped on a coat of paint and said they are now the trendy hotel. Wasn't impressed, nothing special. Too pricey for what it was.
Staff wasn't friendly or rude, they didn't interact with us at all outside taking my CC and giving us keys. So no comment there.
Walls are paper thin, you can here people walking in the halls, getting ice, etc. If they decide to talk, you get to hear it.
Would I stay there again, honestly No and 90% of that no is based on the inability to take a shower and clean up.

My first time to New York and loved this hotel!! Great location to walk to Times Square, Central Park and Broadway. Felt very safe around the area too. Rooms very very comfortable and staff friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Loved Roma Pizza across the street. Highly recommend!!

Very nice hotel. Nice and big rooms. Very busy lobby. The staff is friendly and helpful. I lost my passport in this hotel and they help me find it.

Hotel is right in the edge of Times Square and Hells Kitchen! Fantastic location Room was nice and spacious. Only problem was that they had a building wide air-conditioning failure the day we arrived and we were forced to find other lodgings. Staff was very understanding and provided us a refund of our pre-paid stay. But i look forward to staying at this property the next time we are in NYC.

This was a great and positive surprise. After staying many times in NYC this was our first time in Hell's Kitchen and we were glad we stayed at this hotel. Its not luxurious, but its chic and rather new. Rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Lift did not work. They are not ready to give early check-in. If they are so adamant in not giving early checkin. They should show the same intent in keeping all the services in working condition.

Our stay was absolutely lovely in many ways, but what was especially great for us was the very comfortable beds. It's so important to have a comfortable bed and a dark room to get a good night's rest during a busy vacation and these beds were SO comfy! It was just what we needed!

Arrived early (friendly desk staff) and were able to leave our luggage until check in however the bellhop working at that time was very uninterested in helping us out and made that clear (we think maybe his shift was ending and he knew he wouldn't get the tip when bags were picked up..not sure) The bellhop who took over when we came back at check in time (younger man with dark short hair) was amazing and helpful as was the bellhop the next day -Alfred. Lobby is lovely and clean. Room was very nice and clean with the exception of garbage stuck behind dresser -plastic bottle etc. One elevator was broken the entire time and second elevator was also broken for a while with no sign so several people were waiting around for a long time with no idea. The service elevator was available but no sign indicated that. Avoid room 421 as it is right against the (sometimes) working elevators. All in all it was just ok due to some of these issues but would go back as it also had its pluses which I also mentioned.

Perfect hotel for a NYC getaway.
Cons - no onsite gym, no coffee maker in rooms, no bar/restaurant, and lastly, bc they are a smaller boutique hotel you aren't going to get those NYC skyline views
Pros - they partner with a gym down the street so you can get a day pass, i don't drink coffee, they have a cafe with a coffee shop and also wine/beer, the lobby smells heavenly, rooms are huge, no elevator wait!!!
We loved it here and will stay again.

Great location in the heart of New York which was a perfect base for exploring. The room was spacious and like being able to eat meals in the lobby. Missed a kettle in the room but apart from that the perfect hotel in Nee York!
